- Connecticut jury has ordered Alex Jones to pay the families of eight Sandy Hook massacre victims nearly $1 billion in damages. Jones had claimed on numerous occasions that the Sandy Hook school massacre was a hoax and the parents were crisis actors. There were tears as the jury read the amounts awarded to each family, amounting close to $965 million in total. Jones was not in court to hear the verdict but he was live online mocking the verdict.
I wish that politicians and media personnel were to pay such a heavy price for their homicidal lies.

It will be overturned on appeal. At the very least, the award will be significantly reduced. It's not uncommon for lower courts to hand out ridiculously high awards, and then have the appellate court reduce them to a fraction of that amount.
Jones' and Infowar's total net value is over $200m. The family can probably take a fifth of their verdict amount, while bankrupting Alex.
