I'm listening to an audio book recently called dark harvest AOS and your vids have really helped me put a face to alot of the monsters in that so thank you.
As a botanist I love this faction.
every one's gangster til the trees start walking. always happy to see a sylvaneth video from you! they're my fav faction. if it weren't for you, heywoah, and rerolling 1s I wouldn't have gotten into AOS
Love the angry Loraxs!
I bought this army as a D&d faction to paint first but I’m learning and I have half an army now lol great video wonderful lore
This was a very interesting video 2+Tough. Was going to check out your older Sylvaneth lore vids but I’ll watch this first I guess. 🙂
I’ve always loved the sylvaneth but have never gotten around to collecting a army of them.
Love your lore videos!
Great video and I like the new style. Can't wait to see your new videos.
Another all faction round up ?? I'm ALL IN DOUGH
love the new animation
I wonder what personalities Sylvaneth would develop if planted into an area like the shire from LotR.
For context; It did have some very old, very cruel forests but at the same time could be the last refugees of the Entwifes, who value open landscapes over forests and may have thought middle-earths people argiculture.
So what would you think were on this spectrum would Sylvaneth fall under such conditions?
I’m going to be buying some more sylvaneth units. I’ll be using your link! You are great!
Missed ya big guy.
Starting a army
I'd love to see wood aelfs enter the stage, but they are aelves that have been deemed insane by the other races (DOK,LRL etc). But in actuality they hear the spirit song but need Alarielle to translate it. She still doesn't care for them and they become a sub cult of Sylvaneth.
Thanks for the video!
Awesome video, sir 👍
Vtuber Doug is kinda cute with his 2 ears and totally 2 green feathers back there and not 2 tzeentch ears
This was unexpected, as I was just catching up with what happened to WH fantasy after their terrible fate in End times.
thanks 2+Tough
worst happen after the End times when they get wiped out except Alarielle with a soulpod because the wood elves decided "screw this" and went to Azyr for protection and let every spirit die. Alarielle did forgive them but for all the rest of the Sylvaneth they are all betrayers (reason the wood elves are now part of the City of Sigmar as the Wanderers)
If you go down to the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise. If you go down to the woods today, you'd better go in disguise!
Where do they get their metal weapons? Do they have smiths and forges?
There is a group called the iron wood who grew up in basically dwarf fortresses and so they learned smithing from them and since there made of metal they can mold it like iron vines and the wepons for the huge tree dudes and they work with the dwarfs with mutual respect as craftsman but they don't work with anyone else
It's interesting why does sylvaneth have male and female spirits if they reproduct themselves by soulpods and don't have relationships? Or they have, does somebody know?
I think it has something to do with gender presentation. Gender and sex are related, but separate. Many fictional asexual races, like the Orks of 40k, have male gender. They don't have the apparatus, so to speak, but they have the personalities.
The Sylvaneth, while being very alien, are still connected to Alariel (I hope I'm spelling that right) who, having been a mortal, has mortal ideas about gender. So sylvaneth with female gender personality have bodies that match a shape mortals think of as female while sylvaneth with a male gender personality have bodies that are more stereotypically male shaped.
Or at least, that's how I see it. I might be wrong though, so don't quote me on that.
If you like craftworld eldar in 40k, you will like the sylvaneth
I am now sold as a wraith knight and imperial knight player, the iron wood sub faction in particular look amazing especially the huge trees with the great axes of steel and because I love the life aspect more then the super edgey factions which is why I like house hawkshaw and salamanders or the eldar since they actually care for there people and the wraith knights because of the almost sweet jeagerer like twin dynamics they have
They looks so cool but when you realise they're made of tree it makes them sort of underwhelming. It's just like "aight, time to bust out the hedge clippers."
But that's not what happens and the wood is capable of healing itself, fun army to paint and play
@@devarient I'm sure it is ! I'm just messing around. Not my vibe, but cool models.
