There isn't too many build videos well put together so thanks for making this, I'm also a dual swordsman for both nioh 1 and 2 so this is perfect for me.

Hi @KingRedDiamond, love the build, I used one of your old ones as the template for my final build. Ah the memories of Nioh 2 - had to give it up as it was such a time sink. I never got far enough to get good Oyamatsumi drops - so I used Ninigi + Izanagi. I used Shuten Doji instead of white tiger (permanent extraction & defense buff), "Oh" as the second guardian spirit with Tatarimokke soul core to have a yokai pool available at all time.
Nice build, nice vid. You’re very thorough, sometimes redundant, but obviously very passionate and your joy and knowledge seep thru. It makes me wanna boot the game right up and play some more haha. Did you mention your clan bonus btw?
been getting into nioh 2 recently after not playing it for years and i finally am reaching the endgame and starting to look for builds and ideas as to what i can do and i absolutely love this one! would actually love to see a corruption build too in the future!

Thanks for the support 🙏🏼….and yea splitstaff has decent mystic arts, one does extra damage when the splitstaff is extended and the other allows for more hits to connect when extended. Definitely good for high damage builds. And I would definitely try all the weapons just to familiarize yourself in case you favor a weapon you never knew you would
Superb idea with the mystic arts. That weapon is made for the aggressive playstyle as well as parry king with its 6 parries. I wonder how many more mystic arts can synergize like dual katanas.
Haven't played this game in over a year, haven't Completed my Oyam+Iza build. But you should be looking into running a Tartar(owl) soul core on your second guardian spirit. At a small cost of anima you can create yokai pools for purification and always have Iza buff
One other thing I forgot, you can instantly push out more damage from little crow and quick draw by changing "transform bonus magic" to "transform bonus courage or stamina" As you have rolled magic as an attack bonus at the top of your card, it scales to magic without the transform bonus star effect. So using transform bonus courage or stamina will override at the bottom and allow you to pull from Heart, Magic, and Courage or Stamina.

@@KingRedDiamondGaming Little late to the party and I am currently farming depths with 200(+80) gear is it weak for floors 6-10 ? and also I was using Izanagi Ninigi with fists so will your build work with fists cause I need to switch to Oyamatsumi to survive properly? Thanks in advance.
@gamingdork3681 yes this build works with any weapon…just go to the underworld merchant and max the upgrades for +value modifier and you’ll start getting up to to +120 gear
@@KingRedDiamondGaming Completed 1st 10 floors but goddamn that was a struggle. Ki, Health and damage values are insane compared to even 1st 5 floors of the depth. And to top it all of I am 1 short of Oyama gear to get that 6 piece bonus. Thanx for the advice and build, you just gained another sub.
I honestly thought 2023 was going to be were nioh is gonna be losing a lot more players but nah it’s crazy how this game still has people but love the build bro 😎.

And no early game I wouldn’t say you should focus on that because enemies are not as tanky and they don’t hit super hard…I would say get your life and ki to a decent amount maybe around 20 for both constitution and Heart and after focus on the scaling stat of your early game weapon. After you reach new game then you can start optimizing stats but early game good health and damage should be your focus
Love your videos! Will there be any update on this build? I think you mentioned that it can still be improved. Maybe the ultimate build got even more ultimate by now :D
This build can be upgraded more but that will take a considerable amount of time due to the games RNG being abysmal…I would need to find all gear with star effects on them to completely optimize and that’s relying on heavy luck
Hey! After a very long time, I got back playing this game again and realized, I got a very similar build (I also use these 2 graces :D) and wanted to try the dual katanas. I played mostly the switchglaive/splitstaff combo and wanted to go back to using swords. What active skills do you recommend on them and what effects should I put in?

this is great and all but you need a built to survive things like dream of the demon just so you can farm graces. Which is difficult in itself. Due to the player base almost non-existant farming certain graces is so difficult. if you got an up to date build to farm stuff to get ready for proper end game such as abyss and DoTN i'd love to see it
This has actually been a frequently asked question so I’ll definitely put out a video on it because there are a lot of mid game players who want to know builds just to make it to DoTW and DoTN so thank you for your feedback!
@@KingRedDiamondGaming hey thanks for the reply, yeah i'll be keeping an eye out then as I've just got plat on nioh 2 about 20 minutes ago. Im just glad i didnt need to do DotD+ but i do need to do DotD to get the plats on the DLC and while I CAN do it. Its just not that fun as im just wailing on enemies constantly doing minimum damage.
Just use susano with izanagi or ame or really anything you want. It’s not too bad to get to depths floor 6, and that’s when you can start farming the op graces. But the game gets way harder at that floor and then insane above 10 and ridiculous above 20. Everything else he goes over in this vid applies to any difficulty outside that one grace and honestly susano is just as good of a grace, it just requires more thought while playing instead of while building.
When I do the torigate thing to help people, sometimes I'm grouped with people that can one shot everything. They have this sword build where it does this crazy attack and one shots everything even bosses
That may depend on the difficulty you do…anything underworld and depths of the underworld no matter how many buffs or stats you may have nothing can be one shot
@KingRedDiamondGaming ahh ok, becaue I'm usually op in lower levels, but it seems like the game scales your power with the person your matched with or difficulty of tge level. So I was just wondering how people still one shot everything.
@zeekosuave6812 yes if your level is higher than the recommended it will be lowered to fit the level and also the more ppl you play with the higher the ki and health pool is for the boss monster
@KingRedDiamondGaming ok thanks for explaining that. So how do people still one shot everything if you factor all what you just said into play. Theoretically that shouldn't be possible right?
@zeekosuave6812 it would take a big amount of set up, because you would have to know what that boss is weak to since every boss is weapon to a certain element next it would depend on what effects you have on your weapons, equipment, and accessories even then it would still be tough but if it’s dream of the samurai or dream of the strong difficulty boss could be one shot because those are pretty much beginner difficulties. Through my experience any stages that are dream of the Nioh or higher it will be extremely difficult to one shot any of those bosses especially in co-op
Not tryna criticize your skill or your builds, even though this may sound critical but theres a few things you're missing out on. Soul cores for one. All your soul cores should have 3 stats on em just to maximize, and they should synergize and focus on things that are useful to your build and playstyle. But you should also have soul core stats on your weapons to increase buffs. I'm not sure if you learned or know this but transferable stats on soul cores can be transferred to living yokai weapons, which can then be transferred to any weapon in the game. Certain stats will obviously be reduced as they cant scale as high as a soul core can but things like anima bonus(insert stat) stacks and can added a bit further in your build. You can also turn an orange inheritable into a white transferable by overwriting a white transferable. Human soul cores are a universal way to add transferable stats to any soul core so I'd keep an eye out for those.

Thru many of my videos I’ve always said I will accept any and all comments whether they be positive or negative critiques so it’s perfectly fine to voice your opinion and knowledge of the game. That’s what my community is for 👍🏼 and yes I’m aware soul cores can be use for yokai weapons and become transferrable. My play style and build craft method is strictly meant for me to have fun and put my game knowledge to the test so that’s why I used the specific stats I have. The game is heavy rng so no mattter what going for a 10/10 build requires a considerable amount of time and quite frankly luck. So I basically just made due with what I had lol. I’ve even stated that my builds as high and min/maxed as they are can still be optimized so if I decided to try it all there’s always room to improve. @@KingRedDiamondGaming oh without a doubt. The community has been extremely helpful especially with "trading items" and scrolls and tips and pointers. Definitely one of the better gaming communities out there. Your videos have actually inspired me to get back into the game. I was really up in the air and at a dead end on if I wanted to return but back at it now. Had to get used to the timing and controls of things again. But you're 1 million percent correct about the grind. Does take a lot and star stats have made it even more difficult to min/max but it feels so rewarding when you finally perfect your build or get that God rolled piece you were looking for.
Hey bro have you even been able to get the dual swords with mystic dyad and star magic bonus effect? I’ve been nonstop grinding floors 6 and 11 for this and nothing.
I have a dual sword with mystic dyad and I have one with star effect attack bonus heart but not both unfortunately…I’m famous for rng hating me so it’s no surprise 😂
The DLC bring new locations, new main and side missions, new weapons, new guardians spirits, new yokai, and new skills. As well as the new difficulties, from Dream of the Demon, Dream of the Wise and Dream of the Nioh. You also gain access to Underworld and Depths of the underworld where the challenge and difficulty jump way up from just story and side missions
When do you recommend going for a build? Right now I’m on floor 87 of underworld and my weapons attack stat is around 5-6000 damage and my defense is almost 10k but I’ve just been using the kohoku master set for armor and soul matching it to keep levels up. All my pieces, weapons included are around +80.
If you’re in underworld you should have a build now…once you hit depths the fights get at least 5x harder so you can definitely start putting together a build now…you gear can go to Lvl 200 120+ value at max level
@@KingRedDiamondGaming Thanks. Yeah I’ve been holding off just because I wanted to put off farming anything until I could get scrolls of the damned. All my gear is ethereal and half is level 190 +80 and half are level 200 +80 but I’ve stopped getting higher plus drops to soul match. All my lapis lazuli have been put into the higher pluses but the game is still stingy asf lol Think I’ll go for Izanagi grace pieces for now since the kohoku master + set isn’t great.

Or is -1 the best I can do? Also I use the same dual swords you do but I struggle with finding the best ways to attack. I just spam god of wind but then I do no damage. I’m gonna go back through your vids for tips on that.
@GriffinatorOriginal it’s all good and I try to help as much as I can. But they do not stack you only get the -1. And I usually use low stance for status build up and quick movement, mid stance for ki damage and default defense, high stance for big damage and main active skills
friend in your litte crow and quick how did you get attack bonus magic down there? My weapon is the same as yours, my inheritance also transfers magic, but down there I can't get a magic bonus, how do you do it? please.
I can't do it, my weapon is exactly the same as yours, but the last option turns dark when you're ready, the game won't let me roll over the bottom of grace@@KingRedDiamondGaming
@Dombaka ahh you may have to soul match a transferable effect and then reroll it on to your weapon. The only other thing I can think of would be that your weapon rarity is lower than ethereal
I only got it with inheritance =), which clan are you using? One question is how do I reset the talent tree of a single weapon, I want to reset my dual abilities.@@KingRedDiamondGaming
I use the maeda clan for the 100% defense reduction on grapple and to reset a skill tree you have to go to the dojo and then scroll down to your weapons and you’ll be able to reset from there
Pity, you didnt show any weapon skills and what to enhance them with (custom active skills), I always wonder what bonus should I attach to them if any...
Thank you for your feedback! I may have simply forgot about them because I’m very wordy lol but This was mainly a recap of my main build. I have a weapon guide series on my channel that goes in depth of every weapon and it’s skills, which skills to target, which skills I feel are most useful for my playstyle and even which custom skills and effect I use for each active skill slot and stance. I usually stick to the same skills because they work for me so if you want to know any of the skills I use check out those videos. Hopefully this helps.
There are three ways to get scrolls, one is to just grind underworld until you get the scroll you want, second is to fight a revenant and the last one is the sure fire way and that’s to do a co-op scroll mission. Any scroll mission you do co-op if you don’t have that scroll it will guaranteed drop after the mission so try out some co-op missions to see if someone has the scroll you want
After acquiring the awakening mystic art on onmyo you have to select it again to activate it so make sure it’s highlighted with the red circle it should work
its not true that izanagi only works against yokais, if you use the tatarimokke soul core, you can get max stacks instantly, you can do this before you enter the battlefield where the shrine is and get max stacks before the fight, the izanagi buff lasts 1 and a half minutes according to the wiki, needless to say it will last the entire bossfight and after you have beaten the first boss you can cast it on the floor again and cleanse it to refresh the buff between bosses. also i would recomend for the early underworld to use izanagi alongside the onmyo warrior set since you cant get oyamatsumi until you are already at the depths, infact its kinda pointless to even farm this set since onmyo warrior plus izanagi will already get you through the depth ez pz. also since its random every time you enter you can just cheese the depths to get an easy floor like you showed at the beginning of the video, sometimes you get nightmare bringers and shuten dojis and sometimes you get gozuki and mezukis, its night and day.
The armor is refashioned for the head it’s the Kawanami clan headband, the chest piece is imakomei armor, legs are the demon slayer armor and feet are the master swordsman power
@teslahhenry102 oh I’m sorry lol it’s a world drop it’s not truly tied to a specific mission you’ll literally earn the set just playing through the game…it’s an early game set as well so if you want a higher chance you can play the beast bien of smoke and flame in the first region
Of course! This build can absolutely be used with any weapon…I only chose the dual swords because of its synergy and simply because I’m better with them than any other weapon
Is this build still viable at say only lvl 550 or so? Slowly trudging through the underworld but can't find a build that like jumps out at me as fun and fairly easy to play(I notice u stance swap a lot and I suck at that lol even with the switch glaive I'm currently running and before that I played fist and primarily sat in high stance) Also i looked through my gear and the rogue set has the same toughness as heirloom and weighs less and gives melee increase to humans as its innate so with all slots thats like 30% increased human damage if not more
This build is viable as long as you can reach the Underworld Depths after beating the first 108 floors. But you may need to be higher leveled to do that. A build you can substitute for this is Izanagi and Susano. Those graces together are what I call the early-end game build it’s powerful and has a decent amount of survivability. And I stance switch mainly for flux ki pulsing but I also do it for different situations. I like to use low stance for quick movement and dodging, mid stance for balance between attack and defense while also draining ki and high stance for burst damage it’s all about play style. It’s perfectly fine to stay in one stance the entire time as long as its how you want to play And that special effect is good but remember only against human enemies and with this game yokai outnumber the human enemies especially in underworld so if you specifically only want to fight humans then I would say it’s a good
@KingRedDiamondGaming I mentioned the rogue set bc its lighter and has the same toughness and maybe a little less defense but has a good innate unlike the heirloom. I'm currently on like the 36th floor of the underworld albeit I've been carried this far but I did solo the 31st floor and boss. But I figured I'd try to find a build while i collect gear. I've just been abusing arc of chaos and onmyou magic to keep my distance. I think I'm running ame no uzumi and magatsuchi atm and I tried the glass cannon build too but I lacked the damage
@xerodragon21 ok yea that makes sense the only reason that set would conflict with my build is because I have melee damage rolled on all my gear so I can’t have that and melee vs human or yokai
@@KingRedDiamondGaming just got a scroll of nioh with ult magic and courage innately minus the thing your damned scroll has is it possible to roll ult stamina on it and would it still be a strong scroll?
My weapons are remodeled to scale with magic and heart…if you look at the weapon you’ll see that the line where skill usually is it now says Magic…this is done at the blacksmith
There is AAA Life on omnyo magic hit & combinded with the sloth on omnyo magic on hit. Use two familar talisman of your choice instead of guardian spirit talisman & purification talisman, can keep weapon purity. The untouched omnyo magic helps. GG Bro Nioh has come so far push it to the limits🔥
Well to be honest nioh 2 is really punishing with the rng and shit especially the stupid quality umbrecite otherwise I would have say that it beat nioh 1 hands down.
Umbracite is pretty easy to farm if you just play the game and disassemble. I have a over a thousand umbracite and hundreds of divine umbracite without saving it up at all. This game is basically better than nioh 1 in every single way, except lack of pvp which wasn’t that great to begin with

If you learned zero ki comboes, this build would sing so much better

@zeekosuave6812 it would take a big amount of set up, because you would have to know what that boss is weak to since every boss is weapon to a certain element next it would depend on what effects you have on your weapons, equipment, and accessories even then it would still be tough but if it’s dream of the samurai or dream of the strong difficulty boss could be one shot because those are pretty much beginner difficulties. Through my experience any stages that are dream of the Nioh or higher it will be extremely difficult to one shot any of those bosses especially in co-op
Not tryna criticize your skill or your builds, even though this may sound critical but theres a few things you're missing out on. Soul cores for one. All your soul cores should have 3 stats on em just to maximize, and they should synergize and focus on things that are useful to your build and playstyle.
But you should also have soul core stats on your weapons to increase buffs. I'm not sure if you learned or know this but transferable stats on soul cores can be transferred to living yokai weapons, which can then be transferred to any weapon in the game.
Certain stats will obviously be reduced as they cant scale as high as a soul core can but things like anima bonus(insert stat) stacks and can added a bit further in your build.
You can also turn an orange inheritable into a white transferable by overwriting a white transferable.
Human soul cores are a universal way to add transferable stats to any soul core so I'd keep an eye out for those.

That’s what my community is for 👍🏼 and yes I’m aware soul cores can be use for yokai weapons and become transferrable. My play style and build craft method is strictly meant for me to have fun and put my game knowledge to the test so that’s why I used the specific stats I have.
The game is heavy rng so no mattter what going for a 10/10 build requires a considerable amount of time and quite frankly luck. So I basically just made due with what I had lol.
I’ve even stated that my builds as high and min/maxed as they are can still be optimized so if I decided to try it all there’s always room to improve. Thanks again for your feedback it really helps me and the community!

Your videos have actually inspired me to get back into the game. I was really up in the air and at a dead end on if I wanted to return but back at it now. Had to get used to the timing and controls of things again.
But you're 1 million percent correct about the grind. Does take a lot and star stats have made it even more difficult to min/max but it feels so rewarding when you finally perfect your build or get that God rolled piece you were looking for.
Hey bro have you even been able to get the dual swords with mystic dyad and star magic bonus effect? I’ve been nonstop grinding floors 6 and 11 for this and nothing.
I have a dual sword with mystic dyad and I have one with star effect attack bonus heart but not both unfortunately…I’m famous for rng hating me so it’s no surprise 😂
I would like to buy the DLC but I'm not sure. Are the missions always the same with greater difficulty or are they different?

The DLC bring new locations, new main and side missions, new weapons, new guardians spirits, new yokai, and new skills. As well as the new difficulties, from Dream of the Demon, Dream of the Wise and Dream of the Nioh. You also gain access to Underworld and Depths of the underworld where the challenge and difficulty jump way up from just story and side missions
When do you recommend going for a build? Right now I’m on floor 87 of underworld and my weapons attack stat is around 5-6000 damage and my defense is almost 10k but I’ve just been using the kohoku master set for armor and soul matching it to keep levels up. All my pieces, weapons included are around +80.
If you’re in underworld you should have a build now…once you hit depths the fights get at least 5x harder so you can definitely start putting together a build now…you gear can go to Lvl 200 120+ value at max level
@@KingRedDiamondGaming Thanks. Yeah I’ve been holding off just because I wanted to put off farming anything until I could get scrolls of the damned. All my gear is ethereal and half is level 190 +80 and half are level 200 +80 but I’ve stopped getting higher plus drops to soul match. All my lapis lazuli have been put into the higher pluses but the game is still stingy asf lol Think I’ll go for Izanagi grace pieces for now since the kohoku master + set isn’t great.
@GriffinatorOriginal you only get scrolls of the damned and the high plus value drops in depths so that’s why it happens that way

Or is -1 the best I can do? Also I use the same dual swords you do but I struggle with finding the best ways to attack. I just spam god of wind but then I do no damage. @GriffinatorOriginal it’s all good and I try to help as much as I can. But they do not stack you only get the -1. And I usually use low stance for status build up and quick movement, mid stance for ki damage and default defense, high stance for big damage and main active skills

You have to temper attack bonus Magic on them from the blacksmith

@Dombaka ahh you may have to soul match a transferable effect and then reroll it on to your weapon. The only other thing I can think of would be that your weapon rarity is lower than ethereal

I use the maeda clan for the 100% defense reduction on grapple and to reset a skill tree you have to go to the dojo and then scroll down to your weapons and you’ll be able to reset from there

How to get the Scroll of the damned same as yours? I can only get with one Ultimate Stat
There are three ways to get scrolls, one is to just grind underworld until you get the scroll you want, second is to fight a revenant and the last one is the sure fire way and that’s to do a co-op scroll mission. Any scroll mission you do co-op if you don’t have that scroll it will guaranteed drop after the mission so try out some co-op missions to see if someone has the scroll you want
Anyone how do you cast so fast ? I got the mystic art but still cast slow what am I missing ???
After acquiring the awakening mystic art on onmyo you have to select it again to activate it so make sure it’s highlighted with the red circle it should work
its not true that izanagi only works against yokais, if you use the tatarimokke soul core, you can get max stacks instantly, you can do this before you enter the battlefield where the shrine is and get max stacks before the fight, the izanagi buff lasts 1 and a half minutes according to the wiki, needless to say it will last the entire bossfight and after you have beaten the first boss you can cast it on the floor again and cleanse it to refresh the buff between bosses. also i would recomend for the early underworld to use izanagi alongside the onmyo warrior set since you cant get oyamatsumi until you are already at the depths, infact its kinda pointless to even farm this set since onmyo warrior plus izanagi will already get you through the depth ez pz. also since its random every time you enter you can just cheese the depths to get an easy floor like you showed at the beginning of the video, sometimes you get nightmare bringers and shuten dojis and sometimes you get gozuki and mezukis, its night and day.

Dual Swords are among one of the most powerful weapons in the game as well as their ease of use so that may have been the reason.

The armor is refashioned for the head it’s the Kawanami clan headband, the chest piece is imakomei armor, legs are the demon slayer armor and feet are the master swordsman power

@teslahhenry102 oh I’m sorry lol it’s a world drop it’s not truly tied to a specific mission you’ll literally earn the set just playing through the game…it’s an early game set as well so if you want a higher chance you can play the beast bien of smoke and flame in the first region

Of course! This build can absolutely be used with any weapon…I only chose the dual swords because of its synergy and simply because I’m better with them than any other weapon

Is this build still viable at say only lvl 550 or so? Slowly trudging through the underworld but can't find a build that like jumps out at me as fun and fairly easy to play(I notice u stance swap a lot and I suck at that lol even with the switch glaive I'm currently running and before that I played fist and primarily sat in high stance)
Also i looked through my gear and the rogue set has the same toughness as heirloom and weighs less and gives melee increase to humans as its innate so with all slots thats like 30% increased human damage if not more
This build is viable as long as you can reach the Underworld Depths after beating the first 108 floors. But you may need to be higher leveled to do that.
A build you can substitute for this is Izanagi and Susano. Those graces together are what I call the early-end game build it’s powerful and has a decent amount of survivability.
And I stance switch mainly for flux ki pulsing but I also do it for different situations. I like to use low stance for quick movement and dodging, mid stance for balance between attack and defense while also draining ki and high stance for burst damage it’s all about play style. It’s perfectly fine to stay in one stance the entire time as long as its how you want to play
And that special effect is good but remember only against human enemies and with this game yokai outnumber the human enemies especially in underworld so if you specifically only want to fight humans then I would say it’s a good
@KingRedDiamondGaming I mentioned the rogue set bc its lighter and has the same toughness and maybe a little less defense but has a good innate unlike the heirloom.
I'm currently on like the 36th floor of the underworld albeit I've been carried this far but I did solo the 31st floor and boss. But I figured I'd try to find a build while i collect gear. I've just been abusing arc of chaos and onmyou magic to keep my distance. I think I'm running ame no uzumi and magatsuchi atm and I tried the glass cannon build too but I lacked the damage
@xerodragon21 ok yea that makes sense the only reason that set would conflict with my build is because I have melee damage rolled on all my gear so I can’t have that and melee vs human or yokai

My weapons are remodeled to scale with magic and heart…if you look at the weapon you’ll see that the line where skill usually is it now says Magic…this is done at the blacksmith

There is AAA Life on omnyo magic hit & combinded with the sloth on omnyo magic on hit.
Use two familar talisman of your choice instead of guardian spirit talisman & purification talisman, can keep weapon purity. The untouched omnyo magic helps. GG Bro Nioh has come so far push it to the limits🔥

Well to be honest nioh 2 is really punishing with the rng and shit especially the stupid quality umbrecite otherwise I would have say that it beat nioh 1 hands down.
Umbracite is pretty easy to farm if you just play the game and disassemble. I have a over a thousand umbracite and hundreds of divine umbracite without saving it up at all.
This game is basically better than nioh 1 in every single way, except lack of pvp which wasn’t that great to begin with
When I see those ultimate builds with cats, I know it’s a shit build.
