SURRON Light Bee 2022 - The Most Fun Electric Bike Yet?
Vložit
- čas přidán 5. 09. 2022
- In today's adventure i'm taking my brand new 2022 Surron Light Bee X out for the first time on some mountainbike single tracks , bmx tracks , do some jumps with it and try to get uphill. I was never a fan of electric bikes or motorcycles but this ebike is so much fun. Is this the best ebike money can buy?

I don’t need one , but I think I want one
9:18 even the horse didn’t get bothered 😊❤ I seriously want one of these!
It's soooo much fun to be honest 😁
Just bought the off road version myself and I love it, they're perfect for walking the dog and having some fun on the backwheel
Yep 100% agree 😁.
Hi! the surron is a different riding experience, i bring to mountains for steep hill climbing and riding the mtbike paths upward, lots of fun! for me ,the best upgrade i did is the 21 wheel in front and 18 behind with a big knobby tires and raisers for handle bar and the seat ( i'm 178cm). I love this electric moped even beside i have own a 350 exc, 690 R and now i ride the norden but surron is like a side girlfriend!( Lol) Cheers!
I just happen to stumble on this video and I went out of my way to like and comment for your sound effects of a gas powered bike! Awesome content man!
Great video. Now I have to have one of these!
I love mine and i think you lifted the benefits of this in between mountainbike and motorbike.
Another tráiler park boys fan too! These are to hilarious
That intro is awesome lol
Hippies! LOL i subbed!
Fun!!!
This is good for fan🎉🎉🎉
Its sick
I just heard the Storm Bee has 500nm torque, THATS INSANE
Put a air horn on it just like to let people know your behind them 👍👍🤔🤔😂😂😂
i know you are from belgium , but where was that place with the bmx jumps and long singletrails? i also have a surron and want to explorer some new places.
this isn’t a want it’s a need
where did you record this. Id love to ride there.
If you like it, you can take yours to Edirtpark in Mechelen. I went once, it's a fun alternative to dirt riding
They are getting better although just not out of the toy category yet. The amount of fun you are having I think it is something to look into.
nah, i'd say these guys are definitely usable tools. for getting around the city, minor stuff, whatever groceries you can get into a backpack. plenty of good use cases for em where it means one less car on the road.
btw if you pump the front brake 5 times and hold it when you start it, it should unlucky the full top speed
5 short , 1 long 😁
wow!!!!! amazing@!!! i am thinking which is better light bee or talaria sting r . what do you thin is better? please tell me bro.
Both are good 😁
could you go somewhere with that bike where you could possibly be attacked by a TIger or perhaps mauled by a bear? I would like to see that.
Where do you get these graphics?
Is that a "Trailer Park Boys" t-shirt?!? That's a Canadian classic right there!! I'm shocked to see it all the way over in the Netherlands... have you seen the show??
I'm fixin' to get some dirty Burgers and go look for "Smokey" lol 😂
@@dcryder9736 you're "workin" again "smokey"?? ...I got 2 Dairy Queen coupons, if ur down.
lol I’m Swedish and seen all episodes. Love trailer park boys
Corey Trevor smokes, let’s go
The speedlimit in Europe for Emtb:s is 25 km/h (not 50), it will not give any more electrical assistance after that. If you don't "hack" it of course 😁.
Speed elecs/mtb's are 45km/u 😁.
Off-road mode 75 km
Waar is deze plek waar je rijd?
I just went and picked up a new chain for my mountain bike and they had an E mountain bike in there that was $18,000. Crazy.
Yeah these Surron can be very expensive to. A 72v battery will set you back 3500 and the controller 1800. Not talking about other wheels , brakes and so on 😅
I think that's insane🤣
Wow, I heard the works most expensive is around 21k ,INSANE, I bought a kit for mine and battery $500 🤣
@@Mia-kf2ie I can't believe how expensive the batterys are ,its $400 DOLLARS here 🇬🇧 for a 52v 20ah battery, it needs HALVING at the very least. 😡🤣 🇬🇧❤🇺🇸🤘😎🙏
Beware, OEM pashplate is useless for protecting the motor, you need an aftermarket one who is more sturdy, nice ride BTW ;-P
Not useless but better with sterdier one.
@@michaelenglund True, it protecs from watter and mud
Yeew
Whay do you have mountanbike in Belgia?
I am from Norway! 😄😀😀
Anyone know how many recharge cycles under normal everyday usage the battery pack last before needing replacement? Considering this bike but want to know before making the decision. Thanks
I have no idea personally. I been hitting single tracks with it on a daily basis all summer long. It's so much fun 😁
@@LifeofSmokey I see these turn up used occassionaly as well as new ones at the dealer. Considering how much the battery's cost it almost seems like it would be a better option to purchase a new model just to get the warranty for 3 years offered here in Europe.
@@RR98guy nice europe you have, we got only 1 year (im in the dumb side of europe)
Whatever you do, don't try a fast standup scooter. 😉
I guess you get less dirty looks riding that, as opposed wheeling by on your 1290r. LOL
Oh heck yeah 😂
Where did you buy it?
Waar heb je die gekocht?
E Bikes Bornem , doe ze de groeten 😁
the american/canadian version is way faster it goes 120 kmh or 75 mph with an upgraded battery and controller eg a 72v and a bac8000 controller but the stock version goes 80 with the green wire cut(Speed limiter)
Latest model like mine does not need the wire to be cut. Just a secret code with the brakes when starting it up will unlimit the speed 😁. And this one will also do 120 with that battery and controller. But with those mods you need new wheels and suspension for sure or i will brake it in half when riding offroad 😅
👍
Good stuff, but for sure you can’t ride this on MTB trails in the US…yet!
what website do you buy it on? EU
Local dealer E-bikes Bornem 😌
3k for a bike, 6k for an e-bike, 12k for a strong e-bike... I bought a BMW 650 with 10k kilometers for 3000 euros 👌😁
Good luck doing Downhill and narrow trail ridding with the bmw ^^
I just did 7 days a 3700 m high volcano, El Teide ,Tenerife. 30 minutes with a BMW 👌👍🤷🏼♂️
This video and similar ones of this bike on shared use trails are what is being used as evidence by the Sierra Club and other US hiking group members at city council meetings all over the US. Then other riders get all mad when they can't get approvals or OHV areas get shut down 'for some reason'
review Ducati desert x
I emailed Ducati in my country 3 times....no response , a Ducati store did contact me to pick one up but now i'm to stubborn to go and get it 😅
I ride one, i can tell you it's a fun bike! Different category as the 1290 Adv R tho, but i guess that's obvious
your kids in america are really rich, for me it cost money that can buy very decent car
I'm a 38 year old man from Belgium 😁
@@LifeofSmokey haha :D so that make me also old man, it doesnt change the fact that US get it for only ~3500, we have it for 5000
Talaria or Surron?
For now Surron :-)
I'm 230lbs. Would it struggle with me on it? Lol
add a 72v battery with a BAC controller and you will fly into the sky on that thing :-)
Should I start calling my cordless drill an electric drill?
cordless mountainbikes, coming soon.
Is this the S or x?
The road version , not sure 😅
X, The S has single crown fork smaller motor and bat
100Km on one Battery charge, NEVER!!! 60Km at the most on Eco mode. (Stock of course “34Ah”)
I got the 2023 its got 40ah . But i feel like it drains pretty fast but does have a little better power. I'm getting like 10 miles per every 20% of battery. And that's not even driving in sport much at all.. seems like the range is the same as my older one. I heard it can get maybe 60 miles range if you go very slow. Like 10 mph
Ya would be fun, but who's got that kinda cash.Could but a second hand motorcycle 🤔
and spend 3k a year on insurance? insurance prices have skyrocketed with covid. less ppl on the road means remaining clients pay more. insurance companies don't take pay cuts.
Sweet- riding hiking/mountain bike trails illegally! Good job!!!
Kind request, please don't ruin our mtb-tracks and/ or ride this thing abroad where there is sooo much more space
This is a mtb without pedals , same stuff 😁
@@LifeofSmokey no it isn't. you showed it isn't when you did the little wheelspins. either ride respectfully or you will get these banned from all MTB trails in your country...already are banned where i'm at because of people ruining trails.
You have a 7000W motor; it's an electric motorcycle given that anything over 500W is required to be plated, insured, and is considered a motorcycle.
electric MTBs have a 500W motor for a reason, if everyone had 7000W the trails would look like the ruined dirtbike trails in my area.
@@0xsergy don't worry , nobody rides the mountainbike trails where i live because they are very bad. They don't have a good flow to it so everybody goes 2 villages further because they have the best mtb tracks in the region. I have been a mountainbiker for many years , these trails are always crap 😂
@@LifeofSmokey fair enough. just keep the speeds reasonable. when you're flying at 50... if some kid comes out of a side road they'll probably die. 130kg at 50 kmh is quite a bit of mass.
the problem is dirtbikers have no place to ride, all the tracks are closing one by one. And a surron is not a motorcycle not even close, it has the same suspension , brakes etc as a mtb , the only difference is we dont have pedals. So i dont understand what the problem is why every mountenbiker is complaining about destroying there tracks. . The most destruction on these trails are from braking , so these bikers are as much guilty then we with our surrons ;-)
No thanks.
