- The New Sur Ron finally arrived so I had to put a video together of the unboxing, assembly, and first ride! Ordered from Luna Cycles in California here is the website!

Took about two weeks to get from California to Atlanta, GA
Cost about $4,500 USD after tax and shipping
Just so everyone knows, release the fork strap before taking the axle out of the wood. The best way to do it is by putting your body weight on the forks while it's still on the platform it came on, then pressing the release when you take the tension off the strap. You shouldnt have to cut it. However, if you do, you'd want to cut it the same way, by putting your weight on it first. If you do that it won't shoot down and risk damaging the fork, it'll also release the pressure to get the axle out of the block of wood really easily. The rear shock strap release is a lot easier of you sit on the bike to compress the shock, then press the release.

That was my first thought when I saw this. That axle must have been binding so bad with only one side of the forks strapped! No wonder he had so much trouble getting it out. And it shot out with SO much force! Definitely want to lean on it to keep it from damaging itself.
I bought my 2022 LBX in May 2023 used with only 300 miles and a few installed parts like primary chain drive conversion, light switch, pegs/brace, tri linkage with lifters and grips for $3900. It was pretty much brand new and I didn’t mind the 300 miles on it but I’ve added 1200 miles to it in 1 year.
But right after I bought my bike that’s when EVERYTHING THING CHANGED IN THE GAME AND EVERY COMPANY including new and old ones started dropping these bikes one after another with newer upgrades, faster speed, longer range, and bigger batteries all included right out of the box.
I would’ve sold mine and bought another brand or bike, if I could’ve made a little profit before everyone on my island knew how or where to buy one brand new for the price I wanted. But now I can’t sell mine for too much because people now know they can buy them new for about the same price not including shipping. They would rather pay extra for a brand new bike 0 miles and bigger battery, rather than an older bike on island with miles and only minor upgrades, even if they have to wait a month minimum to be delivered. So I’m pretty much stuck with mine unless I upgrade the battery and controller but I highly doubt I’ll be paying that much for those upgrades when an E RIDE PRO SS sells for around $5000 with all these upgrades included in the box. I kind of wish I waited a little longer before buying my bike so I could’ve had time to research/compare and have A LOT MORE CHOICES!!!
Got my Sur Ron today, have not cut the wire yet, still having fun on the neighborhood gravel primitive streets, for now. Just as much fun watching it get unboxed as when I unboxed my own! These bikes are cool!

Where can you ride that thing? I’d be scared of the cops or hitting somebody.
I ride it on dirt bike trails, bike trails (at night), in the woods, on the back roads. Etc.

i can't believe these have almost doubled in price since 2019 when i first looked at them. at that time they were around $2800 USD. as of 12/22, they are $4500 with the upgraded battery. i think i'm gonna buy one this spring before they wind up doubling in price again. hell, i can buy a brand new yamaha tw200 cheaper than one of these. it's crazy, man!

Those straps would loosen a lot easier if you press the tab in toward the strap, instead of pulling it out and away with the pliers which will break them every time!!

the straps are pre-tensioned, sit on the bike and compress the spring before loosening
Do you know how long it took to assemble? Live in a 2 story apartment so will have to carry that big box up by myself or assemble it outside at the bottom
It took longer because I was explaining it the whole time and trying to go slow to show people but if you watch the video a few times before you get it and remember most of it (which isn’t hard) it’ll only take you like 30 min to an hour not too long at all

Yes, I ordered it from Luna Cycles. It took a little less than 2 weeks. Everything I’ve heard from people not getting it from Luna seemed like more of a hassle/wait

@0:25 is that a radar detector or a slick phone mount to left of the media console
It’s a phone mount that opens and closes when your phone gets near it and it has a wireless charger in it

It doesn’t come street legal but if you add turn signals and get insurance on it then you can make it street legal for sure!
@@SurRonSender one more thing I was wondering about a wire. People in some comments are talking about a wire being cut. What wire? And what does it do cutting jt
So the bike comes with a Governor on it to where you can only go 32mph and there’s a wire that has a loop in it and when you cut it, you go from 32mph to 50mph. It allows you to go much faster. Here is the video on how to do it. Make sure you watch closely and don’t cut the wrong wire!

Everyone I saw on CZcams were getting it from Luna and I read the reviews and everything seemed legit! I went to the actual surron website and they were completely out of stock and I called Luna Cycles and they had a shipment coming in the next day that were almost all already sold so I ordered it and it showed up in 2 weeks!

You might be thinking of the storm Bee this is definitely the light bee. I have another video on my channel of me Unboxing it and it says light bee on the box
