What do i do if the mask is attached to the suit and has lenses that are not magnetic so they are glued to it how do i wash that type of suit?

Just wondering about the possibility of an upload about maintaining your Spidey suits to make them last and reduce damage and seam repairs and possibly how to protect your gloves (particularly fingertips and palms of your hands) from getting torn up when doing handsprings, stands and poses at events.
I use Gain for my Black Panther Suits as well!

So the mask on my costume is separate and comes with eyepieces that I think are some form of plastic, but I'm guessing it would be ok to wash it the same way you're doing here? Also, does the brand/type of soap matter?
I did soft hand wash using a big soap specifically for washing, any opinions?

How can you wash a detach mask with atach lenses?
Do you use this same method of soaking with your suit that has the embossed spider emblem on the chest, or will the water and soap cause it to slowly come off?
My GF and I are getting some suits in a couple of weeks from the RPC studios (our first ones ever) and this video is definitely a big help!
slipknotlegion Having an embossed spider will require you to occasionally glue the spider back on. It's just part of cosplay maintenance. Don't worry you might not have to glue it as often if much at all, but just be aware of it. If and when my embossed spider starts to come off i use super glue and that usually has a strong hold. I will make a video on how to wash a puff painted suit with an embossed spider soon.

For me, I mainly focus on the crotch and armpits. Being real here, those are the smelliest areas. So usually I also wear some light padding so I can limit the amount of grease going into my costume

I would just sponge clean the mask a little by hand. You don't want to accidentally loosen your glue.
How do you sponge clean it? You just use a sponge and some soap and then gently rinse it?
Fellow Spidey here, well Miles Morales Spidey cosplay, question, when hanging it to dry, aren't you concerned with the legs stretching out due to the weight of the shoes?
Not at all.. If you are worried about this you can rest the feet on a chair.

Never put it in the dryer it will shrink it air dry is the only way to go

do detachable masks cost more and are they worth it?
yes they coat more. and it's what you prefer. they both have pros and cons. the attach mask looks a little more smooth.

J Mizzles Use an Anti-Fog spray.. You can find these online super cheap
It seems like it isnt really fog, what it looks like is there is some dust or something inbetween the little holes on the mesh of the lenses, i really hope you have tips to help, if not i was wondering if you are able to see clearly on your mask

Cold if you want the color too stay on the costume for longer or you can use hot water for deep cleaning but the costume may go lighter color every time you wash it
