I've been a big proponent of having a prayer journal for the longest time. I'm a big believer in having a strong, intimate prayer life and in today's video I share with you my prayer journal tips and set up for developing a life of prayer to refresh your prayer life!

You are the only youtuber that doesn’t start every video saying hi guys welcome back you welcome like share subscribe 50 times during the video. I also just watched your video before this where you read your faith statement I think you called it. But I wanted to comment on that video but it ended and went to this one I was busy putting Bible tabs in my new Bible. It’s a toy for young girls and the dude note and questions it asks are amazing. But I can’t believe you read something so personal to us. That took courage. I honestly appreciate it because as embarrassing as it is I’m not very familiar with my Bible. I’m just now starting my relationship with God. I’ve always believed in God but last year and now I went through a really tough time and thought a lot but not having a way out. I thought a lot about suicide being the only way out. Then one day I had every thing planned someone was watching my kids I was going to leave a note just letting someone know where to find me and walk up this beautiful mountain at a park I live by. On that day about 2 hours before I was taking my kids to grandmas and go to the park for whatever reason I said God is the only way to get me out of this situation I couldn’t take any more abuse physically or mentally I was just done with no way out no family or friends I could go to and felt so alone. I’ll never forget dropping to my knees on the kitchen floor crying that’s when it came in my head that God was the only way I could get out of it. That’s when I started a better relationship with God and learning to trust him if God wants it for us he will find a way to bring it to our life. I’m still not moved out because I literally have no place to go and last month my car broke down so now I can’t get to work so no job either I lost literally everything including my medical insurance something else was in his plan for me I guess but I still don’t have family or friend support but I don’t feel alone. Someone helping me get my insurance back I waited a month and she made it happen that day she seen I had been crying and I explained to her about my car and job and some other things that happened. She asked if I need help finding a counselor I said no I have the best one I open my Bible and talk to God. She told me to read the book of Job I walked home and read it as soon as I got home and just cried agsin on my kitchen floor. I know everything will be ok and I trust God. But I want to thank you because when I started this I had no idea where to start. The Bible was hard to understand I had my dads KJV so last year after I got off the kitchen floor I got my dads Bible he’s had since he was in the navy he’s now in heaven but I opened it up and didn’t understand anything. So I looked it up on CZcams. That’s how I found you. The things you share are so personal but someone like me might need to hear what a faith statement is or an example of if something. I got a new Bible a Bible atlas and commentary and 4 new bibles but that was by accident the leather one isn’t interleaved and I didn’t realize I wanted an interleaved. The other is the interleaved with a navy anchor I have a study Bible I was going to use to take notes before I got the interleaved and the young girls one because I love the treasure this Bible verses the information at the beginning of each book the questions it has a lot in it for someone who doesn’t know the Bible that well it’s really great. That’s the Bible I’m finally putting tabs in I didn’t realize I’d be using all of them. I don’t use my fathers because it’s old and falling apart but I guess I have 5. My father hand wrote some verses in the back I want to do something with in mine. They were important to him for whatever reason. There’s maybe 100 so I’m not sure I’m im going to highlight them all one color write them out and Bible journal them I haven’t got that far yet. I know this is really long but I wanted to say thank you for being so vulnerable and personal and not post a video for clicks and views. There’s a lot of money that can be made on CZcams but you are just trying to help spread Gods word. There’s nothing wrong with making money for your time but your not doing it for money you are one of very few who are doing it for the right reasons. And as soon as I can I’ll be paying for I thinks it’s patron and you also have stuff that helps on your website so I’m interested in that. So as soon as I get back to work you’ll have s new member. Sorry this was so long but I did want to explain where my head was and how I got out of it almost. But emotionally a lot better. Thanks faith.
One thing that I started a few years ago was following up for people I am praying for and ask how God acted in their life and their circumstance. Noting the answered prayers in my journal is inspiring and reminds me to thank God for answered prayers. Whatever the result is we need to be thankful.

Wow Faith, I just discovered your videos. Soffy this is so long but needed to give you some background. I'm going through a rough time right now, health issues, I fell 3 weeks ago bringing in groceries (face planted because my arms were full) Quick aside - I know God was there because I was walking up my sidewalk facing the stairs, but my knees hit the sidewalk, but upper body and face landed on the grass! He sent an angel to give me a little shove, so I didn't hit the concrete with my face! Anyway, I feel bad because I keep asking my church family for prayers and feeling that I'm not using the gifts He has given me, my only gift right now is giving them something to pray for. Last night at Maundy Thursday service I said I'm not being useful to God and pastor's wife said that I'm always praying for others and that's my gift. Thinking about it while saying my evening prayers I admitted to myself and God that I'm not a very good prayer warrior and need to revamp my prayer life. And here I am, finding your videos and how to be a better prayer warrior. Thank you for sharing your faith with us.

It is powerful to write out Scripture. Writing things out also really helps me with memorization.
Yes! idk why, there's probably some science behind why writing helps with memorization, but I def don't know it!
Thank you for being our prayer warrior and for the tips! I love how you said we should look at prayer as a lifestyle. It really puts a new perspective on prayer. I also love the idea of writing down the dates prayers are answered. If a prayer was answered, I usually just start writing out another prayer praising and thanking God. What I also like doing with my journal is writing down reflections throughout the day. What I learned, what I need to work on, God's help, etc. Speaking of prayers, I've been keeping your prayer request in my journal and praying God gives you guidance for your second semester. Have you had to make any decisions yet? I'm always here to be your prayer warrior and friend. 💖

Love!! I have a few prayer requests. One of them is for my health. I am battling adrenal fatigue syndrome from years and years of the stress I was under being married to an abusive husband. He was more abusive to our kids but it greatly affected me because I was afraid of him as well. Needless to say we have since gotten out, we have healed so much and I’ve since remarried my best guy friend of 21 years who is a strong Christian (my ex was not a Christian). But the after affects on my body has been HARD! Stress truly is so detrimental to our health! I also found out I am allergic to Gluten and dairy with has added some stress 😂 The last thing is for my oldest who is 9 and still struggles with the pain his Dad caused. But I am a firm believer that in Gods time, He will redeem, restore and deliver my son from the bondages of that pain and anger! Thank you! My New Year's Resolution is to do prayer journaling. I always have a hard time coming to God in prayer because I feel as if I have to wait until I have it all together -- which I know is ridiculous because the fact that I don't have it all together is the very reason why I need God! I think a prayer journal will help me because it is a more accessible way for me to have a relationship with God.
Yes! Go for it! The only times I regret my prayer journaling is when I sit down and try to hide something or not be just completely real with God, so it's so good that you realize already that you don't need to have it all together, just show up and He promises to, too.

... Its been a hard few months please pray for me I'm pretty broken atm.. Can you ask God to heal my broken heart and for peace as I process the loss of a man I thought was his will for me. Can u ask God send me the right person that chooses me and me him .. , For sucess in my studies as I pursue my nursing degree and for help to just let go and let God. You can pray throughout the day (when faith says that if we only pray once a day, I think she mean that we only pray once a day and then we forgot about God and we never pray throughout the day)

You can make a junk journal with things you have, out of boxes (seapanda channel show it very well)or you can buy a small binder and decorated (jaren t show it very well)

since I can't seem to make a 'binder' work.....the things you have tabs on make a lot more sense!!
as for requests or needs of my own...once I write it out, I tape a separate sticky or note on it with the Scripture that addresses that need, worry, issue.... same idea kind of as your envelope . Love your videos!! come back to them often!

When you were talking about forgetting your prayer lists… my pastor has a rule where he prays on the spot. In a line at Walmart and you tell him your dads sick? He’s praying over you right there at the checkout. 😂

HMMM, For starting out, maybe just a journal, where it's all in one book connected. Because while I like my prayer binder, it is harder to keep everything in place, like when I drop it, the binder will pop open and I have to re-stuff the whole binder. But, it all depends on what you're used to and looking for.
That's a great question! Scripture obviously doesn't bother to explain that, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Lord has prevented us from being able to locate the Garden due to seemingly natural means(ie something like the secret garden, hidden in plain sight, guarded by an invisible angel!). Maybe perhaps the flood changed things, there are so many theories and speculations!

I'd recommend a journal first! I'm still figuring out my binder, in some ways!
As for the garden, there's lots of ideas! It's interesting that scripture doesn't try to answer our questions on it, but instead focuses on the storyline of redemption. I wouldn't be surprised if the garden and angel were hidden by some seemingly natural means, because God's so talented at doing that. We even know the flood most likely changed a lot of earth's geographical stuff, so it could have made an impact somehow there, too. There's really no telling. God alone knows. And what's cool is we aren't trying to get back to a garden, we are going to something better: a city. So God's story of redemption, bringing His people back into right relationship with Him is progressing from a garden to a city as we see in Revelation! That's all we really know, but it is interesting to think about!
