  • Finally rebatching my ugly Baccarat Rouge 540 soap. I’ve turned this into a fun confetti soap on a rope. It smells great and this time I took into account the purple discoloration of the FO.
***Test batching: I recommend doing a test batch if you're using a new recipe, fragrance oil, or special additives. You don't want to ruin a large batch if things don't go as planned! This is my test batch size. You can adjust yours to suit your needs.

    Recipe:
    Olive Oil 25%
    Palm Oil 20%
    Coconut Oil 20%
    Mango Butter 15%
    Sweet Almond Oil 15%
    Castor Oil 5%
    SF: 5%
I soaped this batch at 95 degrees F with a 1.7:1 Water Discount
******IMPORTANT: Please run this recipe through a soap calculator for your batch size. This will give you your water/lye ratio once you input your desired ratio and batch size. You can also adjust your hard to soft oil ratio to meet your preferences. ****
    Additives:
Table Salt 1 Tbsp for my 2300g batches to Lye Water. Adjust as needed for your batch size and preference. (Some of my batch was put in individual molds)
The Salt allows you to unmold very quickly - 5-6 hours.
    Fragrance: Baccarat Rouge 540 Type
Mad Mica: True Red Blend, Kind Tut
    Activated charcoal & Titanium Dioxide
Rope: I purchased from Amazon. It’s just cotton cord.
Next round I’d switch to a tall & skinny mold. This mold was a bit too small but fine for a rebatch.
