TOLANI BAJ baby girl, howfa?
Nigeria is super cheap for people making dollars. The US is more expensive... one year rent in Nigeria is my 3/4 months US rent. Then we still have to pay for utilities, house insurance, WiFi and other little bills here and there. Services in Nigeria are very cheap too. 5k to get a whole apartment/house cleaned...That’s a good deal. In the US, anything Labor (cleaning, babysitting etc.) is not cheap. In Nigeria, if you have money, you can live comfortably like a king/queen. I can’t wait to move back. Giving myself another 2-3 years and I’m out of here. Focus now is to save lots of money and have a plan. I can always be back and forth but Nigeria will be my base.
shoot, i might just spend my retirement in any other country BUT the US lmao.
Pay for water light gas trash ect USA
Same I’m giving my self 3 to 5 years
Nigeria is NOT cheap if you want quality. Security, the amenities you are use to in the U.S, fun environment, night life, etc...
If you're coming straight from knowing her from BBN say I🖐️

Love it
As innnnnnn!!!🔥
My favourite BBN housemate. She’s real no nonsense straight to the point.
Amen The point
LOL! Chi-town in da howz! I was wondering where you from, you sound very familiar but with an accent. :) I grew up 20 minutes away from downtown Chicago but in Gary Indiana. Found out last year that I am 37% Nigerian (Heyyyy!!!) so really want to get situated there or Ghana. Regardless, getting the hell out of America as soon as I get my business off and running for my source of income. Can't wait, I live in Los Angeles now and the cost of living is super expensive. My only setback about moving is that it will be solo. Where the single women from America that want to make that move! Let's do this! Bless!
Hey girl have u moved yet? Coz I’m in the same boat😩 let’s move together!
Chi town here ❤️ I will hit you up my first visit to Africa 💜 2022
Girl start a group! I’m definitely down to go!
This helps out a lot, retirement is coming soon and would like to retire in Nigeria.
Good luck and shine your eyes

Thanks. THIS information is very good. It seems rather inexpensive to me, for what you have described so far
This video helped me a lot. Thank you. I've already purchased a ticket to go to Lagos, Nigeria and then I will be traveling to Akwa Ibom in December 2020 for a month, so I can scope out the land, people, and see what business ideas I can start for stable income. Also I started a CZcams Channel to document my journey. I subscribed to your channel.
I spent a year in akwa ibom, it was very beautiful and hotels, transport and food was very cheap. And the state has the 3rd best road network in Nigeria after Abuja & lagos. Abuja the capital is more peaceful easy to move around than lagos. But all beautiful cities.
I really enjoy your mixture of US English and Yoruba... It makes you feel natural..... Thanks for the good videos :-) LG Victor
I shouted your name when the notification popped up. ❤️❤️❤️
New subscriber here from South Africa 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 i love your energy 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Subscribed already. I'm proud of my Nigerian people.
Me too! Long love our ancestors!
Love love your videos. Girl, you got a new sub. Love from Canada.
Learning a lot here. I have friends who live in Lagos. This has helped understand their situation better. Have a great weekend.
I actually love your content..
Tolani, you are low key living like a big madam in naija. Lovely video. Keep up the good work! 👍🏾🇳🇬
love your vibe. you just got a new sub. i stumbled on your channel and im a small youtuber , nigerian based in london.
Chitown stand up! I was planning on moving to Lagos from Chicago in October but due to the lockdown, my move was unexpected premature and I've been in Lagos since March. I'm definitely in need of tips to get some Chicago-like vibes in Lagos.

This video is a life saver thank u so much!!!
Nah Tbaj will always be vibes, see how I’m glued for a “how much I spend video”😂❤️
Buy the cheap things in the market then buy those fancy stuffs at the store.
Or send someone.
I watch Yoruba movies 23/7😂 when I was in Ghana I was so happy I can watch it from tv. Not only CZcams. I’m not even Nigerian but I’ve started to understand Yoruba 😂
Yoruba movies are the best it's a part of nollywood where women get to lead, direct, produce and write scripts. One of my fav Yoruba movies ever is omo elemosho it won loads of awards when it came out.
Love your intro song babe♥️♥️

Okay Now that I see your monthly grocery bill I feel better about mine LOL I live in the boondocks so I am always at the local markets buying food. The grocery stores near me are small too so I find more in the market. I think you did good especially since Ajah is more expensive area.
Thanks girl✨✨
. Me
Finally!!!!
💓✨
I love ur intro song jeez .
Living in Lagos is not expensive. Just have to have two or three side hustles and your good. Make sure you come with money and always keep some on the side. For emergencies. Your doing good.
60k on groceries! WOWUUUUU... Maybe I don't eat enough >_<
& yes, prepaid meters are the best when you self service!
Great vid :-) xx
Fola how nija
I love your vids!!! Do you miss the US?! How much is rent and transportation? Also, can you make a video on your streams of income please?!
Thank you.
This song is written in my brains😅🔥📢🥳 Love love love 💕
Please keep me informed on trends happening in Nigeria.🤔👌
Of all the things you mentioned, the one thing many people want to know about is RENT. That is the first thing many people pay first. I thought it would be the first thing you mentioned but sadly not. Thanks for the input on everything else. Good vid.
Las las I’ll probably move back home(to naija) this American life o ti su mi work work work pay bills pay bills and do it all again...I’m just 21 (with a good job though) and I’m starting to get depressed..I use to think coming to America is the best thing that’ll ever happen to me but it’s starting to be the opposite...depression ti fe pa mi 😢😢
Sorry b. Don't let depression get you down. I've been there and it's not pretty. I'd you need to take a break from it all, pls do so
Duduyemi ! American can be depressing but hey! It depends. If you have your citizenship and you can get an expatriate job then you can move.
Anu Anu yes, I’m a citizen....if by expatriate job you mean work for America in Nigeria, I have looked into that but haven’t seen anything yet but I’ll be on the lookout, thanks 🙂
Duduyemi ! Check out LinkedIn and start hunting all those HR and CEOs. When I was in Nigeria we bring in expatriate candidates and we sourced primarily from LinkedIn. Good luck
@@anuanu6288 interesting to know though successful CEO's generally wouldn't want to move and unsuccessful CEO's are dime a dozen. But still an interesting philosophy and workable, I suppose.
It happens everywhere even in America. If you have money you’ll enjoy anywhere.
Eye opening
Ayeeeee Chicago I’m the building…..planning on moving out there
Ok... Thnx!
For being so real about moving to Nigeria. O live a very Lavish Life but am so TIRED of tbe US; although I was born and raised here in the states and I desire to LIVE in ABUJA Nigeria. My plan is to open a Business that will cater to the needs of less fortunate communities. I am IGBO from Enugu State. Financially O am comfortable. I plan to buy my home and not rent, I am a single woman and well educated. I am pretty much firm in what I want to happen in my expectation. I have everything I NEED and then MORE...etc I was told that if I moved to Nigeria I would be considered very wealthy and bougie, while out here in my community it's Average. QUESTION:
What suggestions do you have for someone such as myself??? Please email me if uou can... Your video shined on the Reality of THE MAJOR MOVE FROM CALIFORNIA TO NIGERIA...
Abuja is not cheap if u want a good hus in town in Abuja should b around 500m
@@veraugonna418 Haba... There are good houses for 30million- 50million...
Rent is from 850,000 for a good 3bedroom
Emmanuel Obiye A. Depends on location cus am paying 700k for a selfcon at maitama
More Grace and Wisdom as you finally decide your next move(s)✌️❤️
My advice, stay for short before you do permanent runs. Run your personal situation for a best fit experince
hi Tojani i am thinking about moving to Nigeria. What advices would give me? thanks
i just subscribbed.
Chicago in the building SOUTH SIDE ❤
Exactly, rent , transportation plus small flex will cost more.. But this is pretty much my spendings monthly
That’s so reasonable, in London, I spend £2300 per month which includes rent obviously but I don’t think I’ll spend up to that in naija.
Thanks, very useful to know, Tolani Baj. Really love what you did here.
For reference, I use to survive on between $650 - $850 USD monthly in Thailand.
That included 4 star hotel (long term) $375, motorcycle rental $125, food $100, cell phone $35, entertainment 3 times weekly, no alcohol and 2 dine-out meals daily.
Life was grand. Cambodia, Bali, Vietnam would have been similar except only 2 star hotel/housing, ha ha.
Babe yes I hear you I'm have my Yoruba movie moments when I binge watch them - the plot is usually rubbish but I just watch for the language, music and of course voodoo battles when they start their incantations I can watch all day -in London now they have Netflix which is very cheap and they show better quality Niaja movies - do you have it over there
\
I’m literally thinking about moving to Nigeria I like it maybe I watch too much African movies but it’s not expensive hopefully it won’t be that expensive for me when I move there
Lagos too expensive like European cities now but it’s dumb because it’s not the same level of development of European cities. Too much corruption that’s why
The movies are lit Frederick Leonard Regina Daniels, ken Eric's, destiny Etiko, 🔥🔥🔥💖
Your very beautiful I'm sold on your looks but ty for the info
New subbie over here, all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦❤️Love your energy. How friendly/welcoming is Lagos for people from other African countries? Cost of living doesn’t seem to bad.
I swear gas always finishes when every you remember it
Tolani BAJ!❤️🔥🔥🔥
My love😘
Yes, things are cheaper in Nigeria..However, by the time you sum up everything, you would av spent more than wat you will spend in another country...For instance, Gateman, Petrol, cooking gas and Electricity have all exceeded simple electricity cost in a country with stable electricity where u dont need combination of all these
That's untrue
@1:50 yes!
Can relate so much to the Yoruba movies thing 😂. The people who actually know me can’t relate me with it/understand but I just like hearing the Yoruba in the background. Plus they hella funny! Just don’t take them too serious!
You're beautiful love!!
Did you ship any things back before you left? I'm debating on shipping a few barrels of items when I move to Nigeria.
I think that’s a smart move. I didn’t do that
Me too 😅 I never stick to budget
I will love to visit you when I come to Nigeria for vacation you look cool and fun to be around with oh thanks for this beautiful update
Guys kindly vote our girl for bbn lockdown...show love and support
Vote for tolanibaj if you love

I'll be going home too soon I miss naija oo
Gosh! I have slept on this channel oo
You're not alone
This was entertaining lol loved it!
Thank you 😊💕
😳
Fibre one is your best best for Internet provider and its unlimited
How have we never meet in Chicago oo! All these years.
How much is rent? Can you make a video sharing real estate, who to contact for that and housing resources, please.
What do you do for living in Nigeria
I want to visit Nigeria soon
Ooou Intro song kinda sounds like Moelogo a lil
Aww. It’s not by him. It’s by Gabzy
The currency from Lagos to Nigeria from the United States that's something that I'm trying to comprehend
Yea that is expensive if you’re making Naira but with dollars seem to go very far like the average American office job could pay living expenses but she excluded a lot. If you’re making Naira God help you that’s all I can say bc she didn’t even include rent which is a lot especially in a big city like Lagos. Transportation that one can be expensive too especially if you decide you don’t want to economize. Now I see why everyone is doing detry December bc you can go to Nigeria with all of your dollars for the holiday and get more than what you could get in America. Like vacation spot of the century.
Spot on.
This girl is crazy 😂 "Do They even have a plot? No!"
Oh i am certainly moving to Nigeria!! Thats nothing compared to what i spend.
Waooo !!! Did i hear u say u love yoroba movies?! I love it too !
I wish we could watch one together! Trust me u won't regret it , trust me. !
I wish coronavirus didn't come along, i would have jumped on flight now, Tolly!!!
Anyway, cheers till I read from u !
@Tolani Baj. Honey, can you please give us di STRAIGHT Nigerian accent please?!
I am Afro-American. So I understand the AmeriKKKan dialect, but I'm trying to strengthen my Afrikan vibrations. 😊😉
You're cute withOUT di danged wigs. Yuh nuh need dem.
I’ve been considering moving there for a while. Wondering how hard it would be for an American to adapt. Definitely much cheaper than living in the US
Make sure you secure a well paying job first
You can get a nice apartment for like $3000 a year or rent a mansion for $6,000 a year
Or build/buy a house to your taste though the process is cumbersome but well worth it seeing as $100k will get buy you a nice 4 bedroom detached house in urban yet not so crowded areas of Lagos&Abuja
I have a business here in the States, that would afford the cost of living easily. We just don't know anyone there. That's what stops many American blacks from moving there, we just don't have anyone there as a connection
@@Seanitra I understand you because even you being on ground means you always have to stay updated so that you don't end up in some pitfall. I can just imagine the stress not having a connection here to smooth things over for you
I believe it will end in praise though 🙂😃
@@dolapoeniola8834 amen
What about trying Magic-Jack
Nigeria seems very affordable. I live in Jamaica and your entire month's expense is what I spend on groceries alone.
Periodt!
It’s cold now I wanna move there
I haven't been to Nigeria for the past 16yrs since I left and I would like to come back to Nigeria next yr and I would like to meet u ,if u don't mind.
Try get in touch if u can , maybe we could friend.
