I like your vibes a lot, I wish we can hang out sometimes.
I go through seasonal depression and I've been here my whole life đ
I live in Michigan I go back and forth 2 Chicago a lot. I never experienced seasonal depression until I lost my ONLY SON (đ) in 2018đ SO now I just try to travel 2 warm and sunny places during our winter months. I must come and visit Nigeria I've heard so much about itđ
I did the Ancestry DNA because I wanted to know who I was and where did my ancestors come from. So with that being said. I found out I am 38% Nigerian 19%Cameroon,Congo,&southern Bantu 15% mali đČđ± 12% Benin 6% and some other stuff that I am having a hard time accepting due to what my ancestors had to endure.
Aww sorry dear, some of us Are like that born in SOUTH Africa
Welcome to the family love. Sending you love from London
Youâre living your best life and I honestly love to see it.
Aswear seasonal depression is sooo real, v cried severally when its cold but 9ja weather is always lit.. social life in 9ja after work is lit but in America is never d same, its either peoples schedule never match..
I love how your accent fluctuates between american and nigerian
Girllllll đđđ your intro is stuck in my head permanently đđŸ ! Love itttttttttt
God will bless you for making this video ! Iâm relocating from Chicago to Naija & I decided to look up videos that will motivate me. Yours popped up & now I know Iâm not crazy for wanting move.. God bless you
Donât even know how I stumbled on this, but Iâm loving it. Quite informative, down to earth and definitively relevant to those of us contemplating partial Naija relocation. Sharing with my girls who have been romanticizing about going to live in Nigeria even though theyâve lived all their lives in Yankee. Keep it up good job đđŸđđŸ
I just came across ur video, and I love u already. U nailed it. The cold makes one feel depressed. I live in Michigan and menh. The struggle is real. Thanks for sharing
Iâm in love with Tolani Baj already. Love the intro sis! â€ïž
I just love your blunt honesty and truthfulness!
the way tbaj is talking about nigeria youâll wonder if its the same nigeria weâre living in đđ
I tire ooo
@@judithuwa4648 you n ow wetin be bear bear bank (bbb)... or triple b?... a lot of men invest in triple b and only women get bbb... nigerian politicians and people that get corrupt money everyday in the country will spend millions for a few minutes inside bbb.

Greetings from London England, I agree with you, Seasonal Affective Disorder is very real, thank you for mentioning it. Medically it is called SAD
Your making me excited to start a new adventure
Nigerian hospitals kept my mum alive for years.....she died when she moved to the UK..from negligence...inappropriate suction of water from her lungs, (its easier to catch a negligent doctor in Nigeria, in the UK, its very difficult because the system protects itself and people rarely think about negligence here, so its not probed..read the Francis report).......I also need to add Nigeria is doing better at treating corona patients than UK....its a war zone here.
So while some doctors are negligent or just overworked and stretched to the maximum limit, I have had good experiences with health care a lot of times in Nigeria..they have saved my sisters life too..so ill just say get a good hospital. I work as a health care professional in the UK, and my thoughts are unless you have a rare disease...you are wasting your time abroad. Ill say get deodorant from supermarket.....Also bear in mind deodorants will not work as well under the sun as they work in Europe or the USA. I have never gotten a fake one...Also, look up lemons and lime...they can stop the need for deodorants...they kill the bacteria.
I actually import my creams from Nigeria...i use nature essence etc.....i stock up in Nigeria. I just visited in November and I came back to the UK with soaps, shear butter, creams, vitamin e capsules for skin etc,...hair products
Edit...st Nicholas hospital in Lagos saved my dad...he cut under his leg in russia durine a Nigerian investment business meeting...they just dressed the wound...it was a massive risk because he is diabetic and his legs were swollen when he arrived NG...what did the head nurses and consultants do when he flew back to Nigeria? they made him come in daily, disinfected his feet and redressed it for a week..then every 3 days...antibiotic prophylaxis etc until he was fully healed.
This is very insightful.
Iâm so sorry for your loss. Lord save us.
I will look into lemon and limeâš
For rich country like UK. You are correct. It been like this for decades here in UK. I am so sorry to hear about your Mum. Happened to my father, they thought it was tapeworm, and some other form, and year later it was cancer. He died 6 years later.
So sorry for your loss! Tell them oh! NHS just killed my mum who was visiting from Nigeria! She ALWAYS goes private when in the UK, but because of the Covid crisis her hospital was taken over by the government! Please guys beware !
@@stephanorossi9185 very negligent!
Yes negligence is HORRIBLE and usually affects black people in the UK, don't know why no-one talks about this it's so bad
I appreciate the energy. âđżđ
I'm glad that you touched on the bisexual topic because I've noticed it too, but I think that it goes under the radar, and I wasn't sure why.
Love your vibe!!
Thanks, very informative. Enjoy the motherland
My man is Igbo and he always says there are no gays in Nigeria. Also he says nobody suffers from depression in Nigeria and no such thing as suicide in Nigeria and he doesnât feel sorry at all for anyone who commits suicide . It shocked me to hear that because I donât think itâs possible for those things not to exist also in Nigeria.
They exist. People just fool themselves to make themselves feel better.
Yeah itâs sugar addiction believe it or not, and itâs an unpopular addiction that majority of Americans deal with and donât even know it..Nigerians donât have the toxic sugary/GMO infested foods available to them like we have here in America which can play a part as to why we have so many of these 1st world problems such as mental illness more than arguably any other country.
Remember the sayin âyou are what you eatâ thereâs more truth to that than people realize
@@L00NEYTUNE_
AMEN! The food. Thatâs #1 reason reason why I want to move to Nigeria.
@paul Pauloo and that is of course impossible. Wow . Also they donât take depression and suicide serious.
Seasonal depression is truly realđđđEngland and its SHAMBOLIC weather đ€đœđ€đœ
I always look forward to the intro đ„°

You just gained yourself a new subscriber! I am a young nigerian girl. i came to america when i was 1 and i have always wanted to be able to speak yoruba fluently. growing up in america you donât really have that many nigerian people everywhere because if i did iâm pretty sure iâd be able to speak yoruba by now đ! I understand what they are saying but i canât speak it like that. but you should do yoruba lessons and teach people how to say words and slangs and stuff in yoruba! Anyways keep up the good work!
This is definitely not true. There are so many Nigerians in America especially in places like Houston.
Could hook you up with a teacher online...
@@astoldbyzo544 at times those NIGERIANs are not Ethnically YORUBA.

@@TOLANIBAJ Hello Queen, I sent you a email a few days ago. I know we are all busy working on projects , hopefully you will respond back and we can have a very interesting conversation regarding some businesses I am starting in Nigeria soon that I feel you would be a great addition to . Have a blessed day .
I always like to see Nigerian kids break into speaking their local dialect. Gives me the thrills.
That said, it will be helpful for your channel, when editing, to put subtitles for those who don't understand Yoruba.
Omo dada! (Good kid!)

That part where we tailor our own clothes. It's not very common in the US
I love this video , it gives me a lot of insight. I live in the us and my husband currently in Nigeria. I travel back and forth to see my husband while we wait for his visa .it is very hard being away from my husband. So I have been thinking about moving to Nigeria temporary maybe few months there but its a difficult and costly decision. when I think about all the wahala and the heat in Nigeria, no power , especially Lagos traffic I want to reconsider. You Pointed out some good points.

And those drivers be dead looking you in the eye and still driving off when youâre running đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Relatable content đđđ CTA Bus drivers are the worst. A few are nice though. Very few
đ . I couldn't stand Chicago weather. I lived their for 3 years and was looking for an exit back the first year to DC when I felt that cold weather. So depressing. Luckily, I didn't have to take CTA except for train a couple of times.
Meant there not their! đ
Thank you my sister for sharing , I am relocating to Nigeria in the very near future from the US and this is very helpful information, I do have a support sysytem but not depending on him. Finally, How did you come to master the Yoruba language like âthat đłâ please??? And, do you think you could teach it to your (future) children effectively oo??đđżâđŸđ
Love your energy and videos Tolani. I currently live in Atlanta and I haven't been in Nigeria since I was a kid. I plan to visit once things get back to normal. As you can see, we have a lot going on besides Covid. I would love to meet you. Though I'm an IT gal, my background is women's health and fitness and wanted to see how that would benefit folks in Nigeria.
Iâm currently in Japan and life here is super hard and stressful. Very expensive and even kids are stressed . After school they go to crammer schools for extra study until 10 pm school nights and some kids are alll weekend in crammer schools. Iâve seen teenagers with grey hairs coming out because of the academic pressure .
lol grey hair? come to Nigeria please...go to Abuja or calaber etc
Im a Nigerian living in Germany i really love you video's because you are saying it the way it's.

Shine your eyes ooo, lol
What is the lowest skill or occupation you need in Nigeria to live well (servants and drivers)? For example, in the U.S., you can work at a factory (8 -10 hours per day 5 days a week) and live in the middle class or you could work in the corporate world and your kids can go to private school. Just curious. Thanks.
Remember America is a big country. Some places never see snow or cold....
I do go through seasonal depression too.
Iâm definitely visiting Nigeria when this pandemic is over
Same girl, same!!đ©
That seasonal depression too real. Leaving us folks hella lazy I hate it đ

Tolani Baj, sis I thank the Lord for your live. Though I donât know you but you look so much like my daughter especially with those gestures and I actually showed her your video. Please sis, allow me to say this on your platform. Please, itâs time to accept Jesus O. The time is short very short and our home country Niger is spiritually dangerous this year 2020.
