Only the value that the tag adds to the card is taken into account and not the quality of the cards.

Don't forget the half/third jovian multiplier that is the event that gives you one floater per jovian tag. Aside from that, jovians aren't that special. If you get more than one multiplier, start collecting, if not, they're worthless.
Earth tags are insane, considering all the production per earth tag cards. If you’re Point Luna of course you'll sell your soul for them.
Plant tags are meh. Building tags are ok. Aside from that, l agree with your analysis
Ok, but even with only one multiplier every Jovian tag is worth an extra point. I don't think most tags give you a full point.
Poor city tag, nothing refers to it directly... It is a bit of a shame since Terraform Mars have so many expansions.
At least in the dice game, there are some use of the city symbol, but it's a symbol not a tag... :/
Maybe a rule for example, your city tags counts you as city tiles or something like this, would give this tag some use. :)
Yupe, it feels totally useless except for things like aridor, Maybe if some cards like energy saving and greenhouses had it more could be done with it.
One of my corp ideas is an anarchic organization, that have some discount on no tags and lets you draw a card for city tags, representing that they prefer to live in specialized cities, not in the run of the mills standard project cities
That sounds fun! I think we need something like that couple with cards that give things for each city tag and not just each city.
