Many good observations. Still it's a base of rush. The true follow-up of heat strat are plants that are unlocked by it so special op heat cards are not needed. However, it's annoying that Kelvinists policy, Io and Stormcraft suck while they should have made them stronger.
This strategy is an important part of the game (just don't use these three expansion features) but it always needs a help from other strategy. Without it it's a trap.
Hellion is s mediocre corporation but it enables you to mix heat rush with other strategies way more freely. It shouldn't be in the unplayable tier.
Yeah the problem is when you start with heat and have some plant cards that depend on the heat track, like trees or bushes, and then see your opponent put ecoline down. That game is over, you are rushing for him. It can only be used to back plant production you already have, so I never see it win as a main strategy.
@@marsuniversity-tm Ok, it depends on the opponents too. But hopefully even facing Ecoline you'll be richer and destroy it's plants.
You would rarely out score them, and remember destroying plants usually involves raising the temp with asteroids which is cannibalizing your own points.
@@marsuniversity-tm Right. That means also that Hellion is still way better in heat strat than other corps. The stats say it can be enough to be playable. But still it's vulnerable to opponents moves and as other corp than Hellion it's boring.
Well I mean its what it does but you are still turning heat into a less valuable resource.
