Because Von Aschebach is an Hollywood symbol thinking, and Death in Venice is a "prophecy" of our times of COVID pandemic also spiritual and moral where Venice is our decadent western culture... but Tadizo at the end of film indicated the Sun, and you learn the real nature of Tadzio that is an Angel Death like the Wind Wenders film "The Sky from Berlin". But warning! because in 2021 Tadizio become to be in Von Aschenbach, and this is the essential meaning of film...

It's not just Hollywood, it's also the audience, the normal people. After all, they produced and sold what people liked and what people wanted. Supply and demand. Why do you think that youth bands with singers with "too youthful" faces sell so much?

Beauty can really be a curse. Like Bjorn aptly says, people treat you like a trophy, and give consideration to your feelings only insofar as it permits them to possess you. It is a sick function of the culture we live in, that treats people like objects to be used for one's own selfish purposes and gratification.

I experience and experienced that often in my life.
People on the streets starring at me. Mostly men.
Getting jealous looks , sometimes even behaviors.
Hate. Then you have people who want to talk to you about anything. They want to hang out with you only because you are good looking.
Want to be seen with you because of it.
And when you are not what they expect you to be they drop you like a piece of cake.
You are not a human anymore you are an object of desire.
And they think you owe them attention and your time.
      We don't owe you anything.🕊️🇭🇹🙏🏿🇭🇹

You and tons of beautiful people who went to Dubai, Monaco, Paris, Shanghai, etc. and thinks this kind of lifestyle wouldn't tax your mental health, fuck up your mind, destroy your body, and ruin your well being in the long run. I just watched Aba&Preach's reaction video to Logan Paul podcast, about how far some 'beautiful' people who would do anything for cash and luxury lifestyle, and how much dirty psychos would pay for their endless lust. Human toilet, pedophilia, beastiality, etc. you name it. No boundaries. Don't be so naive. Just because you are thirsty, doesn't mean you have to drink poison.

On the night of the movie, grandma went to sleep, and the producer of the movie brought him to a room. He was forced to drink c**. This scars him till now and he thinks that people still treats him as an object. It is good to help others, but what he meant was that he was treated like an object. People gives him money not because he’s poor, because he is pretty to look, just like buying a pretty statue that wanders around the house. Using money, they can actually possess him.(meaning possession)He was “rich people’s toy”. He sees no love or friend in them. He would rather be poor and not to be a toy of someone else. At that time, he was only 15 with his mom and dad in heaven, only his grandma took care of him.(P.S. he got no friends)

Oh, boohoo!! ... boohoo!! Come on, now! What the Hell?! He has been one of the most know teenagers for years in Europe, and today he is complaining about MONEY? After all those years, he has a high opinion of himself, wow! I'm really disappointed. At 0:56 and the funny thing is that he's complaining, but he is IN PARIS in one of the most expensive places, on top of an expensive building! This interview is almost an insult. He looks like a Hollywood actor crying because he needs more money! Come on! He ate at one of the most EXPENSIVE French restaurants AND in the world "Maxim's" and the LIDO, he even was a mascot, even traveling around the world, and he's whining and complaining? At 1:47 -- _"I"d have to say NO to Paris"_ he's like _"After all the most expensive restaurants in the world, in Paris for FREE ... Paris doesn't deserve me and my beauty!"_ BUHAHAHA! Oh ... Come on!! ... WTF?! UGH! self-centered people and their HUGE EGO!

@@crazycatladyjo2688 Let's not speculate like conspiracy theorists, please. _"Maybe if ... and maybe..."_ Tsssyeah, riiiight. We just don't know, that's all. All we know is that he has a high opinion of himself, and a huge ego, period. He regrets what he has done by the past? I don't think so! He's old, and needs money to pay his expensive bills, that's why! Not so many kids or teenagers have that change. The chance to have a great experience in their life, in cinema, in photography as a model, and to eat at one of the most expensive restaurant in the world with his friends! I mean, say that to a poor boy living in Russia with his parents in a very small apartment, or a kid living in a favela in Brasil, or to a kid with cancer, or even worse ... say that to a kid living in North Korea! See what I mean? So, he just needs to shut up, stay humble (during an interview for God's sake!), and just say that it was a great experience in his life instead of crying! But when we have a huge ego, and/or a high opinion of ourselves like him ... we simply cannot understand that, I guess! Pfft ... It's a shame!

@@lhsvai Who I'm talking to here? Who are you? Just a random person who just "suppose" (again...) or a person who really knew him? And, I'm sorry but _"He was forced to drink c**"_ ? I have absolutely NO IDEA what you're talking about ... drinking what?! Is that a secret or something? Or maybe it's because you are a believer, and you are not allowed to swear? ... I'm really confused, and I find this really bizarre. Anyway! First of all, when he was a young man he doesn't know the world of cinema and photography (of course!). He was certainly impressed, like every teenager. Keep in mind that back in the 70s, cameras were not everywhere like today. They were massive, really heavy, and really expensive.
Plus, alcohol, sex, and drugs were a thing during the late 60s. The sexual revolution (the 70s) was just HUGE around the world after the Vietnam war; the youth rejected every taboo back then. People really need to keep that in mind and understand that because it's crucial to know the late 60s, the 70s, and the mid-80s in this case (the majority of people here just don't, it's so obvious!). Otherwise, they don't know what they're talking about because they think with a mentality, and point of view from the 2020s which is incompatible and irrational. Second of all, he always had a very high opinion of himself, just like today, clearly. And that's the problem!
_"By the ways, if you don’t agree that the movie is good, please use a polite language and see if someone else agrees with you."_ Wait ... of course the movie was great, and I defend this movie because I love it! What are you talking about now? But wait ... I'm not a teenager anymore but an adult, and not a believer. You don't appreciate the fact that people like me dislike when some people exaggerate facts, and conspiracy theorists because it hurts their feelings and yours? Awww ... poor people! Well, guess what? I don't give a damn, Imma fat cat. Sorry! Wait, I'm not sorry ... I'm an adult.
_"(P.S. he got no friends)"_ well, guess what? I'm gonna play also the victim here because I had also absolutely no friends too when I was a teenager, like him, when I was 15 and 25 because I had acne but also because my dad was drunk almost every weekend, and my mom had countless breakdowns. Sometimes life is tough and also because some teenagers are stupid and cruel! Yes, kids and teenagers are cruel believe it or not, you would be extremely shocked. They are more cruel, violent, and radical than adults, believe me! They know nothing like adults about life because they always depend on their parents to protect them. So that means that we must "respect" that and threaten him better? I was in this case too. So what? It was traumatizing? Yes ... but he's still alive, just like me. Life is not like "my little poney", life can be tough and difficult!
But again, we are talking about a teenager who was really lucky to have a great experience in cinema. He ate at the most expensive restaurants and slept in the most expensive hotels in Paris every week. He had money, he met many people, and he was famous. Even traveling around the world to be on the most important TV show in Japan and other countries. Do you think I'm gonna cry for him? What about kids in India on the streets, and kids born in a country where war is a normal thing? You cannot be serious. I mean, come on now, people. Please, stop this nonsense, and paranoia. It's over-the-top, ridiculous, and pathetic ... really.

I think he had that type of beauty that you need to see in real life to understand how pretty he was. The camera most likely doesn't capture his real beauty. From what I can see from these footages he had a very symmetrical face, which even now is considered a metric for beauty Add to that that he had blue eyes and long blonde hair and you'll get what the director saw in him.
