- Located immediately after La Fillette, Yarra Beach’s entrance is not easy to find but well worth the challenge. On the descent from the hill to enter the beach, a fabulous landscape greets you; the blue water rhythmically licks the long sandy beach and coconut trees dance in the wind like a cliche Caribbean paradise. Huge picturesque rocks sit squarely in the middle of the bay and break the waves before they hit the shore. Rocky cliffs line the western end, making the ideal setting for adventure.
Yarra Beach is regarded for its visual beauty rather than swimming as the ocean surges in from the deep. However at the western end of the beach, the Yarra River widens and meets the beach to create a haven for swimmers.

I have been there twice. I really appreciate this particular video because now I know of another way to get to the beach. The two occasions I went there was with persons from La Fillette village and we use a track running alongside the river to get there. The mouth of the river tend to change in direction and depth after an extremely heavy down pour, so the surroundings could look a bit different from time to time. On the whole you can expect to have a great time at Yara Beach. It is a beautiful beach with the river being a high point of the whole experience !!!

Another beautiful video. Wow I’ve never heard about Yara beach but it’s absolutely breathtaking. I love the way you and Jono always interact with the stray dogs you meet, always very kind. You sold me on the River the best I’ve seen so far the water looked amazing. You didn’t rate the beach though for swimming the water looked a lil rough. Beautiful beach. Appears to be hidden gem. You two work so well together. Very knowledgeable and informative. I can't wait to experience this area when I go home to Trinidad.
My family and I were looking for one of the other beaches you vlogged about (D1/D2) and we saw the wall from this video and had to check it out! It was so peaceful and beautiful!!! Unfortunately people left trash on the beach ( long holiday weekend) but aside from that it was worth the drive!!! We have never been to this beach but we are coming back!! If you need to park there is an orange house just before the bend in the road that can accommodate at least 20 cars. It’s 25 dollars to park for the day. Ask for ms Betty!

🇩🇰🇹🇹So Alan, where’s that other incredible beautiful beach🏖? And a dog🐕 in the far background…as usual 😆. With some good, fortunate reason or the other, few of Alan videos will have certain types of dogs🐕. I believe that these are the unfortunate dogs, the ones that left behind, and these abandoned, neglected, Homeless dogs seems to just love to follow Alan around, and also Jono when Jono is in the picture😂.
How come some of Alan’s vlogs have dogs spotted, or dogs hanging around. Well, I consider it phenomenon and I like it. The dogs are happy for attention, friends, some love, when, and if they get it.
Plus, I always love it when Alan fly his drone🛸. From the air, it look so lovely flying over from the Yarra beach to over the Yarra river…wow, splendid🤩Well, soon enough, my turn will come to fly🛩✈️.

Truth is, these beaches are not truly hidden anymore. And the culprits are the same persons who have been littering for years.
So the aim is to educate the people who see these video’s and hope for gradual changes

Alan, I just love that you've been sharing these beautiful parts of Trinidad and shout out to Jono. We are here in sweet T&T and will be trying this one next. Maracas was just a beautiful bay today and we tried out Mom bake and shark, delicious. Tobago next. I mean seriously you have done a phenomenal job showing T&T. Blessings and keep up the great work.

Oh, gorm, Yarra is one of my favorite beaches, we usually park at the house just before the Yarra beach road, and pay a parking fee of about $25. My children love the river, my only peeve with Yarra is that it's seasonal so during the course of the year the landscape changes, especially where the river meets the sea, one year it turned into a mini rapid and you get flushed into the sea from the river mouth very fast, needless to say, the kids had a ball with that year. Another great video!!

Travelling may be a bit inconvenient on this side & if you're going there on a weekend, more difficult......I'd suggest you PLAN an itinerary of places you wish to visit in Trinidad & pay a private car service to carry you to places like these OR rent a vehicle in advance, if you're familiar with traversing our roads.

A nice beach and river but didn’t think it was fit for bathing. The dogs were excellent tour guides. A difficult decent to get to the beach. Rough waves.
Perhaps the kayak rental place could offer garbage bags for sale??
