Thx for the video, like others said and you've already acknowledged is i don't believe you have to remove the pulley, but thank you for showing us. I'm about to go check it all myself on a 2000 nissian maxima, 2 of the parts stores I've called said my '00 has 2 different crankshaft sensors. 1 near front, 2nd by drivers side towards the top of transmission.
And you may be correct I was only showing this video because I had to replace the harmonic balancer because it was coming apart and I thought while I was there I would show the location of the sensor
I dont know what this guy is talking about. His lulley was bad so thats why he had to remove it to take the sensor out. IF YOUR PULLY IS GOOD YOU DO NOT NEED TO REMOVE IT.

Thanks for the info the reason I pulled the balancer was because it was separated and coming apart I just thought it would be easier for people to see where the crank sensor is located

Hey bub i seen another video on a 2001 maxima change on a crankshaft position sensor and they did not remove the pulley.
They have different sensor locations and more than one I think?

Good to know, thanks
There’s no reason to remove the pulley that’s just a waste of time 🤦🏻♂️
