Thank you can i add..in my workplace i noticed the freezer unit here roughly around 1/8 oil level in compressor sight glass. Though we already add oil .i suspect that installed liquid filter drier in retun oil line is the cause of clogging. Is it ok to pull out that filter and only oil level regulator remains.?

The level of oil in the site glass will always increase and decrease! I always tell everyone not to add oil because the oil travels through the system and then it comes back. Also, I just wanted to make sure that I mentioned to you that it is pressure difference between the high and the low side that brings the oil back to the compressor. When you have low ambient temperature outside, that's going to bring the head pressure down and it tends to not bring the oil back. You mentioned the liquid filter dryer being clogged? If it is clogged, you're going to have a pressure drop across it and then you will have low pressure on the outlet side of it. That is going to cause a temperature drop. That is if it is on the liquid line. If your dryer on the suction line is getting clogged the only way to know is to check with your gauges and look for a pressure difference. You do not want to have more than two or 3 pounds of pressure difference across your dryer on the suction side. I would not be adding oil to the system because that oil can get trapped in the evaporator and then instead of refrigerant you're going to have oil which means you're going to reduce the cooling capacity. I hope this helps and think twice before you add oil! Let me know if you have other questions.
