I have been running ARP Haguro on these. Her 3rd skill pushes the HE pen to 32mm, and combined with the two french HE damage inspirations, you absolutely bonk battleships with raw damage and still set a ton of fires. Don't have AL Atago to compare, but 32mm of pen feels worth any trade off.
Beautiful game Jerk, that Yamy in the 1st game lost a lot of hp quickly lol. I'm only up to t5 on this line, but so far, the Gokase has been really fun. Gg🍻
I kinda liking the line. A little different. I’m only up to the gokase, but I bought the tier 4 cruiser yahagi with XP. I like the speed boost to get me out of trouble.
I was lucky enough to nab Shimanto out of an early access crate, and have been enjoying it quite a bit. However I’ve been going back to play the others so I can get the Takahashi camo and Lord Almighty I did not enjoy that journey. I’m confident it’s the only line of cruisers with a majority negative winrate. And not like a 49% winrate, more like 30% or less. None of the things that make Shimanto fun are present beneath them. The T6 is the worst offender.
Thid ship well line in genersl was my omen for when my time to officslly hang up the hatbfir kegends would arrive (yodo will being me out returement but still gonna continue..) I like you have veen playing this game so damn long and i feel my goals will if been reached once i reach Takahashi and max her. Currently about 70k from shimanto. Omono is pretty fun. Glass cannon but its hilarious to troll bbs going broadside to get 4 or 5 salvos of overpens. With hagerou, the he alphs on some cruiserd is mind numbing. So far my pr is 150k which for the tier is not bad . But like i said once i am through this line i will be retiring to the mothball fleet to focus on my other games/projects/schooling If only i could trade my premium time or 3500 ish loons for something good
Thanks, jerk, I didn’t realize these ships had 150 mm guns. I assumed they were 155 mm like the Suzuya. The difference impacts my commander choice-ARP Haguro isn’t useful here. I’ve been assuming I would get most of my damage from fires, but I might try to do a torp build with the Ijuin, the calendar guy. Are you running torp reload mod in the fourth slot?
I just got atago b and already had suzuya. Can you make a video on atago? Or b version. I like atgao commander personally. Love your videos meta. Also the only thing I like about the new cruisers is fast turrets. I just feel like haveing 15 second reload wouldn't it be easier to play the heavy cruisers with 203mm
Honestly, Atago has been pretty power crept these days, mogami has a faster reload, higher alpha, Atago has better torp angles and slightly better armor. But thanks for the recommendation.
Yes! There is, the Bismarck B has slightly longer range secondaries, and slightly lower range main battery guns, the B obviously gets premium bonuses too, but as far as stats, thats the difference 🫡
That changes depending on the mood. But I can tell you right now it ain’t a CV, it ain’t a sniping bb, it ain’t a torp dd, and it’s not an HE spamming CL. 🙃
Gokase is the highlight imo solid t5 ship, shimanto is like a 5.5/10.

That makes sense, at the tier it’s not all that dissimilar, whereas the higher the tier we go, the reload gets longer and the enemy guns get bigger. 👍

Lol so I just tested this and I'm wrong. Haguro gives you 31.8 mm of HE pen and unlike "un-fixed" HE, there's no rounding up. I'm mad and bad.

I like Gokase, Omono not quite as good imo...currently grinding Shimanto
It's been an interesting line to play - I like the fact that I can have a decently agile cruiser that doesn't sacrifice turret rotation speed.
That’s true, some of these turrets are faster than destroyer turrets 😂

Yeah, I think I used about 700,000 GXP on these 🫠 not like there’s anything to do with GXP now though, so may as well.
These things are definitely a menace to Colbert. It's also pretty obvious who is running Atago because the fires are ferocious.
I wonder what the new sorta AL Atagois like.. I’ll rank her up some in the not so distant future and find out.

Indeed, 5 small milimeters making all the difference.. um, lst slot, I think I'm using gun reload

That seems like a fair comparison. You get more shells, but slower reload and lower alpha. Better torps though.
