Replaced all my old comparable tools, needle nose, water pump pliers, these plier wrenches, all my electrician tools, with Knipex several years ago and never looked back. The quality is unmatched!

Based on YOU, I got a DIP knob for my 457. You are correct; the stock knob is Threadlocked in. I could not break it loose. I heated the knob, over the kitchen stove (gas on low, 3 minutes). Using that GREAT PARALLEL-JAWS tool, it broke ‘loose.” It was then worthwhile to clean the threads on the stem, in order to thread the new bolt on without gorilla torque.

Looks like a big improvement! For those who, like me, use a palm stroke on the knob in both directions, the ""pitted olive" style of the OEM knob is pretty harsh. Until the cavity is filled with a bit of steel rod topped off with just the right amount of JB weld, that is . . .

Thank you great video! Does anyone happen to know the standard thread size for the 457 ? I have a spare badger ordinance oversized bolt knob
5-16x24 thread size I would be interested in putting on it. Thanks again for the great video.
