    I know I'm late to the party but great stuff man, you hit it right on the nail here!
    I've experienced stuff like this many times but my best story is when I was hunting down the Running Wild discography.
    It was at a time when the newer digipack remasters wasn't available and you had to hunt down either originals or the extremely rare older remasters.
    I found Black Hand Inn (which was one I obsessed with) for a pretty high price but after I bought it I got an email saying that he already sold his copy..
    The very next day I went to work and told my co-worker about it and he told me that he thought he saw some Running Wild at a local CD store.
    The store he was talking about was a bit weird so I didn't like to go there, but I decided to go there after work anyway and yep.. there I found the original Black Hand Inn in mint condition for about 7 dollars.
    It was a new owner for the store at the time and he also pulled out some of his stock from the back and found more Running Wild for me.
    So that night I came home with the original Black Hand Inn and the remaster of Masquerade, and I remember texting my mom that now I could die a happy man :)

    I have an idea;
    What if I post a comment with my favorite albums, and CZcams commenters tell me what else to listen to?
    I’m going to try it. Feel free to do the same.

    I bought some tool albums, one was an original, another was a newer pressing made in germany, and another one was a brand new copy from Walmart. I know it's not the best as the originals but I couldn't afford them.

    Fun fact, even streaming is becoming a hassle if you're an avid album listener, especially for classic bands, for example, lets say you want to hear Rainbow's Long Live Rock and Roll or Motorhead's Overkill, and you go to whatever streaming service you prefer, boom, the only available version is the deluxe edition with 39 tracks, and you only wanted to listen to the regular album.

    If a store that has Web to get the latest cds online, that will be the easiest solution for metalheads to get the good quality cds. But it depends of their service. The service where I surf my cds to collect are balanced because sometimes they send notification about that you purchased it might not be available which unfortunately they faking when your delivery canceled. That show no mercy CD purchase canceled because they said it wasn't available, but when I went to the store where I get the latest metal cds offline, it was there to wait until someone will buy it. I have did my account but how they didn't find the customer who bought it who has an account? That's unbelievable!!! The previous cds I bought online it was successful because there where some copies left

    i share your pain man i use apple music for my listening needs now, but every now and there i'm like oh awesome a barthory cd or hey a album that i've been looking for that is't a arm and a leg and a couple toes on top of that. i used inport cd for a few years till they filled the box with cds no packing or anything and i'd say for every 10 i'd buy 3 will have the holders broken and it's infuriating to say it lightly. worse case was a got a copy of nightwish's oceanborn and the whole face cover was cracked and i was pissed as hell man. i feel like that what you said needed to be said thanks man, have a good one

    Hey, man, I was just wondering, what exactly changes in the 2004 remaster of Countdown to Extincion and the original release?

    • @9jay10
      @9jay10 Před 5 lety +2

      When Dave Mustaine remastered peace sells through risk he remixed them and made them louder leaving no dynamic range. This is most noticeable with rust in peace where some of the vocal tracks are noticeably different than the originals. But on all of them including countdown to extinction the bass and drums sound a little off in comparison to the original. And samples from certain songs on cryptic writings and risk were removed and some vocal effects on Mary Jane were removed

      If the price was Chopped In Half (silence....) then maybe, but I don’t abuse my discs so $150 on that wouldn’t be a good investment at this point

    There was one time I had a cd sent through the mail. It got sent to the wrong apartment. I asked around if anyone got it by mistake. Then one day I see it in the trash. It was still sealed. Was annoying no one bothered to return it to me.
