About All In The Family:
One of the most acclaimed comedy series of all time, All in the Family with Archie Bunker as the irascible, highly opinionated, working-class family man who viewed the world on his terms and his terms only. When not arguing with his liberal son-in-law, "Meathead," Archie took refuge in his long-suffering wife, Edith, who tries her best to understand Archie's conservative ways and outdated beliefs.

"The only man who stays away to better themselves is a pimp or a mugger or Dracula" I laughed so hard at that.
SAME! LOL!
😂 yeah that was classic 😂😊
I had to pause the video to laugh at that!
The Bible says: “Blessed are the peacemakers.” Edith Bunker was a peacemaker. She was may favorite character on this show.
She's probably the "best" person in sitcom history. Pure and chaste.
Definitely ❤
absolutely
I like Edith, too, but she can be VERY chatty on the show
I was sad when her character died. 😢
"Whoa ho ho speaks for itself" 😂
I never could stand Gloria! She was a spoiled brat.
Gloria nearly gave us the last episode of All in the Family. Their reaction to the news was priceless.
Edith: Archie, your blood pressure.
Archie: Let it burst all over the walls and on the ceiling and on the floor here!!! LOL
God bless Edith Bunker! Thank you, Jean Stapleton.
Beautiful Sally Struthers!
She was barely passable as a beauty and it was short lived.
She was definitely a cutie. I was 8 years-old when I first began watching and had SUCH a crush on her! 🙂
I wish Norman would’ve made Archie look at his own past behaviors before he judged anyone else’s. The fainting spell was hilarious though 😂
Used to watch this with my grandfather, Mr. Bethune Jones
Blessings
Raise your hands if you like that fainting spell scene 🙋🙋🙋🙋
I was Weeeeeaaakkkk 😂😂😂😂
Edith was a saint how she brought peace and stood up for herself despite Archie calling her dingbat
Archie was a narcissist.
Oh that poor edith bunker pass out. Haha
One of my favorite episodes.
Omg 😂😂😂 Archie and Edith falling back 😂😂😂
And doing it (almost) in unison. 😂😂😂
Archie sure loves to jump to conclusions. Just because a man and a woman are separated doesn’t mean he was cheating on her.
LOL i thought it was going to come out that when mike was out at night, Gloria's friend was in a drawer. but I don't think they would have even intimated that back then, even in the context o this show.
Yes, she made a big mistake. She of just talk to her husband about her feelings instead of screwing around
Yes. Immature people go outside their marriage. You now live in a partnership. Problems are worked out. If you can't communicate, you lack a strong union.
Affairs screw up lives.
Ya both are screwed up in the head.
(Edith) "Archie, your blood pressure" (Archie) "Let it Burst all over the walls celing and the floor here!!!" xDDDD i died
😂😂 classic AITF
I was fortunate to be around when this first aired. 🎶Those were the days.🎶
4:26 HAHAHAHAHA
This show jumped the the shark when the Jeffersons moved away
I don't think that's true at all. There were plenty of relevant storylines. I think it weakened when Mike and Gloria moved away, but Stephanie's character revitalized it a bit.
Edith fainting was soooo extra, I mean come on.
Gloria "Daddy There is Nothing Wrong About a Man and a Woman Seeing Each Other"
Archie who proceeds to lose it "Seeing Each Other!!!!...😂😂
Kudos to either for stepping in because I surely did not like the breakup Mike was so wrong to say he hated the first 5 years of their marriage. So you basically hit below the belt Mr stivic if it was not for her parents money you would not have graduated dearie. sad she cheated is not the way but to all find out in the end you basically used her, used her parents your marriage and then leave do not blame Gloria for taking yall son and leaving Edith help bought you some time to get it together but we all know how that went. "What a User.
I would never cheat if i would have been lucky enough to get married, to me being married is a gift from god when god brings someone into your l I'm life to share your life with thats a gift, better than being single I'm single I put up with it I don't have a choice some people are blessed but I'm not. I except it.❤
Same here my parents were hippies and stayed married till my mom died so not everyone from that era had a bad marriage. They were married 29 years. He's been married to his second wife almost 20 years. Of course my dad was super liberal on politics but very traditional on morals of marriage and commitment even when it went against the times.
Wowhoho speaks for itself! Mike looks better with a mustache.😢
Really wish someone would continue the Bunker legacy somehow.
All in the Family was a product of its time. I believe it would be difficult to revive.
Mike clean shaven who likes him that way?
I know who Gloria : )
The character if Mike Stivic grew up, like every young person.
I applaud Archie here for holding Gloria accountable for her fooling around. This whole "be nice" thing Edith wants to do just white washes over wrongdoings pretending like everything's ok.
I watch many episodes of this show and haven’t laughed once, it’s just isn’t funny enough for me….I’m more of a married with children fan, I laugh every time I see that sitcom
Now that was a show that poked fun fairly…. Lord bless ole Al and the family…and buck…and Marcy the chicken…🐔
Without All in the Family, there might not have been a Married with Children. Prior to this, you had Ozzie and Harriet, Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, Bewitched . . . innocuous programs that did not acknowledge what was happening in the world outside the film studio. Producer Norman Lear grabbed the audience by the lapels and loaded up the episodes with current events: Watergate, Gay Rights, Women’s Liberation, the Sexual Revolution, Racism, the Vietnam War (US involvement continued until 1975) . . . Plus, adding sound effects like a toilet flushing - it had never been done. If the humour falls flat for you, well, it falls flat. But the outrageous humour on TV began with these four characters.
All of the problems today in society started with this type crap on tv…
Everything people did wrong on this show was called out for being wrong unlike the "crap" that's on today. Reality shows that turn little boys into little girls. Real housewives that are nothing but gold digging whores. You're way off base on your assessment of this show.
Bit of a stretch don't you think?
@@class5bodyworks nope , your either pretty young and don’t understand what you saw , or you don’t think we have problems in todays society…. This was as glaringly obvious in the skit as is possible…
@@jimhanty8149
I completely understand what I saw but can't bring myself to believe ALL of society's problems stem form a television show from the 70s. And I'm old enough to know how to use the word "your" and "you're" in the proper context.
@@class5bodyworks …no you don’t understand at all… It wasn’t THAT show , it was the whole arena of the television shows like that starting in about 1965- 67ish ….That was the start of the assault on the American culture that ultimately ruined the country… it destroyed the family ….it took a few decades but that’s the way socialism works ….slowly and quietly taking over the young people ,schools and govt. …like I said , your very young… you can’t know , you wernt there to see it happen. I lived it in real time in collage …
