- Alpha FLTA005, a mission called Noise of Summer, supports Firefly’s Venture-Class Launch Services Demo 2 contract with NASA that serves to validate the capabilities of launch vehicles that support a new launch class and provide more access to space for small satellites and spacecraft. Firefly will conduct Alpha FLTA005 as another responsive space operation, which includes transporting the payload fairing to the launch pad and mating it to Firefly’s Alpha rocket within hours of the scheduled liftoff, compared to weeks in a typical operation.
The Alpha FLTA005 Noise of Summer mission is prepared to launch no earlier than July 1, 2024. A 30 minute window begins at 9:00PM PST. Noise of Summer will launch from Firefly’s SLC-2 complex at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

The banter between Morgan and John was fun, best announcers I've seen from any flight and "emotional support gauges" was just gold. Maybe I'll stop by Redhorn for the next launch, that looks like a fun group of people.
Thank you guys, good update. Some people just "record" but we still enjoy seeing it live from our local, thanks again.
That is a masen❤
@@user-uk9bz5gn2p what is a "masen"?
Very good launch net management by team. It may not have flown but the team management sounded very professional. Quality management in tough situation.
I really enjoyed watching this, even though it was scrubbed! You have put so much effort into this stream. Really refreshing! Thanks!
Scrub due to the ground release equipment. Next window is not immediately known, TBA.
That’s fine, maybe the trajectory will be different tomorrow. Because this trajectory was heading west.
Its still heading west
Better to be safe than sorry
remember the golden rule:
Scrubs not RUDs
WAS THIS MISSION SCRUBBED TONIGHT, MONDAY JULY 1ST, 2024 OUT OF VANDENBERG AFB
?
@@jeffreymayer8742 Yes.
@@jeffreymayer8742 No it was gently washed, not scrubbed.
@@PsychoticWolfie Of course! They also had to use left-handed Phillips screwdrivers (#2, naturally), and right-handed cleco pliers to effect repairs. Then they used Rocket Wash™ to clean the rocket and make it sparkle. Gotta have a good-looking rocket to impress the aliens from the Magrorvalene Star Empire!

Totally agree with you
Music Rocks!
Get someone in there to light the damn fuse.
I wasn't able to get on until now. No live stream. Is the launch scrubbed?

SpaceX is alot better
Space X has its moments.
Yea these guys need to get better that was anything but a well oiled machine.
@@triipnGuess they’re trying eh?
You have to remember that SpaceX has their share of failures and scrubbed launches. SpaceX has compilation videos of their fails. They still make mistakes and have to scrub launches. For being a brand new company, FireFly has being doing great. They learn quickly from their mistakes. It’s fun to watch how they grow and get better with each launch.
