Long as the gameplay loop is fun I'm down to give it a go. Warframe is a great game to pick up every now and again.
the only thing i notice is the Movement is not as Smooth as Warframe, but this is still early so it can be changed if they so desire.

It's not just the bullet jump inspiration... characters you play as viewed as demons, not quite human. Mesa and Titania kit within two of the characters shown. Movement hoard shooter similar to the Warframe survival missions. Though to be fair, the enemies look more engaging.

The Warframe community has known about this game since its first trailer months ago. The game took alot of "inspirations" from Warframe, like the Bullet jump (they call is Helic Leap in DNA), the fast paced movement and sliding, the melee combo counter and slam attacks, as well as alot of Warframe's ultimate abilities. The simillarities are so close that someone made a video of a 1:1 recreation of the trailer in warframe, with the same exact moves, movement, and abilities. This game is literally Anime Waifu Warframe. And despite some backlash from some warframe players, there are indeed a couple of us curious and interested in it, including me....so THERE BETTER BE A ANIME WAIFU VERSION OF BOI VAUBAN!!!

@@TheXell the first descendent? That has more division like gameplay. Although it's upgrade system is similar to warframe. That one you can call an inspiration. This one is straight up 1:1 copy.

Exactly what I thought. Also a quick tip for Scott is that if the game allows it you can get insane speed and hover to keep that momentum and then you can just go so far so fast. at least you can do that in Warframe

I know everyone is making the Warframe comparisons but I mean how the fuck could you not? They aren't even pretending with how much similarities there are. Legit feels like I'm watching a Warframe reskin from the level layouts (I can literally fucking identify specific rooms what the actual fuck guys) to boss designs (I see you Jackal) to the enemies (some of which looks strikingly similar to the Grineer) to the Bullet Jump mechanics to the mission types (and what looks to be literally an equivalent to The Void, keys and all) and literally just Warframes like Excalibur, Mesa and Titania's both appearance wise and by their ults. Even the fact thicc asses aren't original 👀
Noticed you were talking a bit slower in this video compared to others, and I have to say I prefer it a lot more. Not to say talking fast is bad, but slower talking makes the video a lot more chill and I appreciate the change. Love your work as usual Scott

Yeah this is literally just anime Warframe. There are so, so many “borrowed” mechanics. The characters even borrow their abilities from the frames

The game reminds me of the start of Genshin, when they have been criticized for being a Zelda copy.
If you don't want to touch the ground just stick preparation on a high duration high efficiency titania build, you can keep up razorwing as long as you need
I used to play wf but seeing the game falling is such a pity. Tbh, I am actually pleased to see new games get inspired by them. Hope this game will eventually branch out to be more unique and optimized.
looks like anime warframe and I'm here for it. I do hope they add an animation for aiming in the air though. it's a bit weird seeing the character just float there.

I thought I was looking at Anime Warframe up until you called Bullet Jump “Helix Leap”… then I knew I was looking at a Warframe clone. That’s new to me.
I have seen others' streams on this one. Their story is quite polished even tho its just a tech test. Huge potential.
I really like the lines in this video that specifically attack genshin impact, the ones about how the attributes are fixed so you don't have to grind for the right ones.
The white hair anime girl with no shoes reminds me of a character from Code Vein.

Could've been even better if there was a way to create your own character.... And maybe male characters too, so people wouldn't need to pull the "groomer" card whenever you mention that game.
The game is only in a technical test currently (essentially a beta of a beta), so it's safe to say they'll add male characters as they progress. But I will say that it seems the female characters are really inspired by Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. Your mileage may vary on if that's a good thing or not, it's all personal preference.
I do wish they toned down the 'assets' of the female characters as it is very distracting. And I'm just getting very tired of oversexualized female characters in media because it's done WAY too much these days...

I know the jokes been made but holy heck its just Anime Warframe. Not even a bad thing, I'm just surprised it hasn't happened yet cause Warframes minute to minute gameplay and movement is insanely fun.
The character you mention at 2:42 is just straight up "Mesa", down to her design and ultimate.
And the "Major story character" you mentioned around 2:55 looks like just the "Excalibur" warframe, ult-Wise.
The one just after that flies and sends out barrages I think is also based on a Warframe, but its one I don't own.
I'll definitely give it a shot, lets see if they make it as addicting as Warframe.

Watching the gameplay of it and just observing the environments, character design, and weapon design I kept going back to the thought of "This just reminds me of a Mihoyo game" which I tried so hard to not have. Its just the way the terrain is built and the construction of the buildings in this world. The waypoint markers, the text, the huds, the aesthetics- Like I went on a whole developer deep-dive to try and figure out who made this and what works they've done which is similar just from how baffled I was. I may have absolutely missed something and this whole comment is for nothing but it's just so stark in my mind as someone who casually observes ppl playing games like Genshin or Honkai
A lot of this is identical to warframe movement and abilities. Not complaining, it's fun. Just pointing it out.
If anyone is interested in this game its worth to note that they took about 90% of the games mechanics from another game called Warframe. which has been you for 11 years, just got a new update today and is just a fantastic game in general. Its also free to play WITHOUT any predatory microtransactions, even the premium currency can be traded with other players.
It has no energy system, everything can be farmed without a timer, the story is great, the gameplay is even better, and it has enough content for at least 3k hours of play completely for free.
And if anyone wonders I do mean the 90% literal, almost everything that looks cool in this game comes from Warframe. The movement system, weapon design, ability design, mission layout, mission types, melee system and most of the upgrade system has been copied pretty much 1 to 1 from Warframe.
I don't blame the developers for it, Warframe has been successful for a pretty long time and its even a bit weird that it took so long for someone to try and compete with it.
I am interested in this game myself but its definitely worth mentioning that it already exists in a finished state if anyone wants to play something like it right now.
But if you are I would recommend looking up a tutorial or 2 since Warframe doesn't have much in that regard.

@@gambitschema Almost every character you interact with in the game isn't a robot and if you play the story long enough you might find out that Warframes are a lot more fleshy then they first look.

The carried momentum by firing your gun after a Helix Leap seems like an unintended bug, but if the devs are cool, they'd turn it into a feature and expand on the movement combos you can fluidly swap between.
Like how Mario controls in Odyssey.

Scott if you like the movement system of this warframe has an extremely similar one except it does have the wall ride and wall jumps you want. Tbh huge chunks of this are shockingly similar to warframe I know everyone else is saying but it's cuz it's very in your face about it.
Okay at first I thought it's just the movement system and maybe some character inspirations, but the quick wheel, the "modification" system of the weapons and characters, including the stat U.I., the combo and heavy attack "cashout" system all look like Warframe.
Now is it necessarily bad, not really, but it is slightly concerning how similar it is
