      Because we know game devs. Remember when C.O.D actually had a worthwhile single player campaign that told a story and took more than 2 hours to complete? Remember when Battlefield had a campaign that was more than a few levels? Remember when Rainbow 6 was actually tactical and it took forever to get through the story? All of them found online multiplayer and learned people would spend real money getting that next cool skin or awesome weapon so we started seeing those titles shift to a more Multiplayer focused dev model. Bethesda is no different, if enough people buy 76 and invest real cash in it you'll see Fallout adopt a more multiplayer heavy bend. You'll pay 60 bucks for a 30 minute single player campaign and an online multiplayer that sells you stuff in loot boxes.

      @Nospam Spamisham In my opinion, Bethesda deserves no sympathy for the mistakes they made with fallout 76 as a whole. The bs that followed its launch should not be forgotten. They should not be allowed to get away with it. Letting it go only furthers their corporate agenda. Sure it seems petty, but look at where the video game industry is now compared to the days of ps2 or even earlier. We have let so much bs slide and now the corporate executives think of us as mere cash cows that they can exploit. They think we are dumber than they are and it's a sad and quite disgusting situation.

      @@whyis45stillalive there is a lot more behind the issue than just that. In my household, we have each of the mainline cod games released since bo3. The reason? Peer pressure from friends. Whether it's my mom's friends or my younger siblings friends. My family is huge into hockey. Guess what? We are getting NHL 2020 even though it's the same damn game as 2019. (We own NHL 2015 onward). My family is big into fortnite. Can't tell how many bundles and shit they purchased. All because of 'cool' limited time cosmetics and reskinned models. Why they do any of these things? It's not stupidity. Its psychology.
      These companies know how to exploit it well.
      I'm not saying that your statement is wrong but it's not entirely true.
      With the way things have been going, I don't think I'll be getting DOOM ETERNAL until I feel confident that Bethesda won't mess it up. It's sad as I am a huge DooM fan and love ID software but with Tim Willits gone, Bethesda's greed seeping into ID's IP's, the lackluster success of everything that's been coming from the zenimax umbrella recently, the new console ports of DooM 1 2 and 3, etc. I don't trust id or Bethesda.

    Horse Armor never really bothered me. The price was not that aggressive in retrospective, compared to a number of similar cosmetic microtransaction found in games today. Getting your first set free but then having to pay gold for additional sets in game made sense from a lore perspective. But it did open the way for future similar content additions, so that does count against it.

      Do you know what an engine is. Its not the engine thats an issue, their bug checking and programming is. Its not fucking old either any one complaining on how prehistoric it is just doesnt understand development at all. If that logic applied to everything, GTA Vs engine would be technically old too, but it doesnt look bad or buggy does it. Creating a engine is time-consuming and expensive. They already have the Creation Engine to improve (which they are for Starfield and ES6). Its like looking at someone making a mediocre cake and going "why dont you like, mix the cake with a new whisk instead of that 2 year old one, it would taste better" when its not the equipment thats the issue but rather the cook reading/making the recipe.

So with the game set to release in 2012 and the dev needing a bit more time to polish the game, Bethesda stopped funding the studio in attempt to force a buy out due to the studio being locked into a contract they couldn't work on anything else and the studio near went bankrupt plus is yet to recover. As relations between the publisher and dev collapsed the game got cancelled. Human Head didn't make anymore games after that until Quiet Man and now the upcoming budget rpg Rune 2.

    I remember I had Skyrim Legendary Edition on the PS3 and I encountered a game breaking bug that somehow activated noclip and removed my ability to interact with the vertical axis.

    I remember buying Daggerfall. At the time it came out the technology was rapidly advancing. They had tons of patches to fix the game. The graphics at the start of the game are totally different than the end. It is funny. I remember it taking forever to download all the fixes. Most of the patches and fixes were at least 2 - 3 megs. At the time that was huge. Especially across a 56k modem. lol

    I put 4000+ hours into fallout 3
    I put 2000+ of hours into fallout new Vegas
    I put a few hundred hours into fallout 4
    I didn’t purchase fallout 76
    If they keep going in the direction they are going in I’ll just keep refusing to buy their shit. That’s coming from a hard core fan of the RPG fallout games.

      I'm in the same boat, save that I do still come back to FO4 periodically and love it.
      I'm hoping against hope the next FO game is better, but yeah, never bought 76 and don't imagine I ever will.
      I'll be keeping an eye on the franchise but after all this BS I will never pre-order again.

    • @DH___
      @DH___ Před 4 lety +6

      Darrel Gordon it’s not really sad I was much younger when FO3 came out and I had the time to put into it growing up over quite a few years. It was a game that changed my perspective on what video games could be and led me to be a huge fan of the fallout series. Now you can see why I’m so disappointed in the franchise.

      4000 hours in F3? Dude im playing WoW since release and don't even have half of that. What is there to do? I believe I finished it in about 50 hours and never came back. Around 10 hours for F4, cuz it's trash, too. Lol

  • @divine_950
    @divine_950 Před 4 lety +2

    Dude, the red version of fallout 76’s collectors helmets were recalled due to... I believe dangerous mold. The material of the neck part housed mold more effectively or some shit. While minimal numbers were distributed, it’s potentially health threatening and this info came out AFTER the canvas bag bull shit.
