Good video fella. Glad to see the eye getting better.
Nice!
What steering column are you using?
It seems that moving the engine/Trans rearward 4 inches would solve your header fitment problems, and would perhaps help with traction since it is a light pick up.. Is there a reason why you didn't consider trying
The only way to move everything back that far is to completely fabricate engine mounts on the frame which probably isn't possible unless youre a high end fabrication shop. Then you'd run into trans tunnel issues with the space between it and the back of the engine.
The owner could have upgraded the suspension & put in a lighter removable crossmember before putting an engine in so life would not be tougher & more expensive further down the road, I made that mistake before. A fanned trans cooler is needed in Texas, unless you like replacing transmissions, 4L60 & 80 run hot. I have a 65 C10 LS swap & regret not buying a lighter removable crossmember and a fanned trans cooler before I did the swap. Avoid CPP parts at all costs, and buying from summit when possible.
What engine mounting brackets do i need for my 6.0 ls to go in my 66c10 i see a lot of options but i dont really understand what im looking at
