Every record in that jazz bin... I was screamin at the monitor.... yes... YES.. YESSS!
That was soooo crazy top find all that stuff!!!....and he had them in the cheap $3 bin!!!
What a great record picking session. Really cool finds in really good shape. Good jazz is hard to find.
Yeah! I still can't believe it! I'll probably never find a jazz stash like that again!!!
amazing stuff!!!!! congrats - finding early jackie mclean in the field is abs insane!
We were both yelling at the tv, “Don’t put Mr.Jaws back!! NOOO! “ 🤣🤣🤣….and then leaving “short shorts”?! Whaaa?! Lol
Hahahaha!!!! I totally regret not getting Mr Jaws!!!! I don't know what i was thinking!!!
Absolutely fantastic scores!
Wow! Amazing haul. Good for you man. Fantastic pay-off. That's what keeps you coming back! Can't say I have ever come across gold like that. Nice!
Yeah that was unbelievable!!! You never know when or where you're going to find them!
I had a similar incident. Little antique shop bought an estate of a football player.
Jazz and Jazz-Funk for days!!!!!
Big Jazz haul. very cool! Thumbs up! Trish
Thanks Trish!!! Keep Rockin!!! 🤙
What a haul, you lucky @#!$. Thanks for the show.
Crazy, huh!!! You never know when or where you're going to hit big!!!
Hi Tuco!! congrats, that was a pretty cool jazz haul you got there..... which i know nothing so i will your word and hope you can make a cool profit!! Nice to see Tomita in your collection, cool record and Rush!!! i saw another couple of cool record at the $6 bin that i don't have. cheers and be well
Yeah! There were so many more records i could have got in the $6 bin! I was just afraid of how much money i was spending.
Great finds!
Thank you! Thanks for tuning in!!! My best finds EVER are coming up in my next video(s)! I doubt I'll ever hit this big again!
Very nice haul ! I had a similar one one year ago (not only jazz, lots of different stuff), I picked up 37LP's and a 3Lp's ELO box set. I came out of the thrift store thinking it was the luck of a lifetime, but everytime I go back there, I wish to live that again 😂
It's funny... when you hit big somewhere...every time you go back to that place you're secretly hoping to hit like that again!
Whoo! Killer haul Tuco...my heart would've been palpitating once I started seeing the Miles and Cannonball stuff! Score one for the Tuc. My last Goodwill visit I actually found a copy of Manowar's Sign of the Hammer mixed in with all the easy listening. Ya just never know right? I guess thats what feeds the "addiction".
Manowar!!! Killer score!!! I love Manowar! I got to see them live not long after that album!
Definitely an amazing vinyl haul, Tuco! Those jazz albums were killer and the space age albums were great too. :)
That 101 Strings album is pretty fun!
@@VinylHunter, yeah, I keep an eye out for 101 Strings albums too, particularly if they are specializing in a country or region of the world like Hawaii, Greece, Spain, the Middle East, etc.
I also have an awesome 101 Strings album called 'Sounds of Today: The Sound of Magnificence' which has a cool 1960's psychedelic cover and it has great instrumental versions of songs like Bobby Gentry's 'Ode To Billie Joe', The Mamas & The Papas' 'California Dreamin' ', as well as 'I'm A Man', ''San Francisco', 'A Whiter Shade of Pale', 'Never My Love' by The Association, etc. :)
Nice haul Tuco! Way to go Cosmic Brian!
Thanks Randy!
Cool video. Don Ellis is a great jazz player. that is a really good live album.
It was CRAZY the stuff i found! Thanks for watching!!!
Very cool
Such a crazy haul!!!
@@VinylHunter that's really great brother man good for you 🤘✌️
I snagged the Porter and the Denroy Morgan 12” from the $1 booth ….. OH SHIT! That’s my Miles Davis Kind of Blue!!!
was salivating when I saw those miles davis lps
That was such a crazy haul!!!
Holy Bunions Batman! What great box of JAZZ, not really my thing, but I know enough about the VC to tell you, there is some Killer Shiznit in that box! Congratulations on an awesome find! Peace.
I'm the same! Don't know much about them, but i knew enough to know that i had stumbled upon something good!
Amazing. My best jazz haul was almost every Brubeck record at an estate sale one time
I'd love to stumble upon a big Brubeck haul!
I ha to watch again to see some good records. Tuco once again proving that the records are out there and findable with persevere.
I probably would have got the royal reinstall short shorts album. Really a good hit. I have alot of those jazz records but not all of those.
I have Short Shorts on the American Graffiti soundtrack. I didn't realize it was their song. Turns out, the other Royal Teens record i picked up in this haul... according to discogs, is a different band!
Great haul Tuco ! Went over and watched Brian as well two days ago..Ventures Christmas is cool ! That stings when I think I'm focusing and the wrong record is in the jacket !!! Yuck !! 2 Eye Miles.. and Bird !! Killer. Disco Ball .. yes !!! I just picked a minty " Good Bad"" soundtrack.. 1.00 ( 2 months ago ). Sweet Jazz Riverside scores ! I want a Nancy / Canonball.. has to be clean, though..
It's yours my brother! Send me your address, I'll send it to you! This one is super nice!

Cool jazz lps there Tuco, love watching from the uk. I go to car boots every week here, and picked up some great records, maybe I should get round to doing a channel. All the best.
That would be kick ass if you did a channel!!! I'd watch it!
You know enough to pick those killer jazz titles ! That Miles " Someday My Prince" is an outstanding find ! Guys are buying that on the repress like crazy right now ! Again.. outstanding finds Tuco ! Still here in Thailand.. Cheers Man !!
Yeah, i really don't know much about jazz...but i knew enough to recognize that i had stumbled upon something good!
I'm sitting on my couch, sipping coffee, in Omaha Nebraska, getting ready to go to the Laundromat.......I wish i was in Thailand! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
@@VinylHunter Well.. we had to go to the laundromat once already.. but we are in Thailand !! Haha. Man Tuco.. again I have to say , great job on picking those jazz titles.. if you sell most of them, cool. but I bet you keep a few .. maybe !
Wow what a amazing haul there, you are a lucky bum! Happy Spinning those. Cheers
Thank you! Yeah i was very lucky to be at the right place at the right time!
@@VinylHunter Something that happens rearly, but I enjoy your moment.
Incredible finds Tuco. There were some more that you've should've picked up. I'll admit that I've been through that adrenaline rush and worried about the total amount. Then at home regretting not picking up a couple more. I screwed up at times. Congrats and ☮️.
Yeah, i had limited funds so i couldn't grab everything. I had to make (un)educated guesses right on the spot. I left jj Johnson behind because it was with "big band" and i knew Duke Ellington was too old-timey for me too. I wish i would have got Ray Charles/Quincy Jones though.
Congrats on the great jazz haul, they must have just put them out.
I've never seen that Royal Teens Short Shorts record before. After a little research, I learned they never actually released an album during their career, only singles and EPs. The Short Shorts album was a comp from 1974, released well after they broke up. I also learned two of their members went on to much bigger and better things. Bob Gaudio with the Four Seasons and Al Kooper with Blood, Sweat and Tears.
Yeah! I was at the right place at the right time!!!
I picked up that other Royal Teens record (Newies But Oldies)...but according to Discogs, it looks like it's a different band!
Great score
It was unbelievable! I'll probably never find a nice batch like that again!
Great jazz finds. I'm not a jazz expert either. I would have grabbed a lot of those also.
I know just enough to recognize that i had stumbled upon something good!
Some good grabs and some misses. You should’ve grabbed that Ray Charles album. Rule of thumb with jazz records. Grab anything on Impulse, Verve, Blue Note, Argo or Riverside labels. They will almost always make you a nice profit. Also that Skynyrd album you passed looked like it was on the original Sounds of the South label. That was their original label before MCA. Not grail level rare, but not common and adds value.
Cheers.
Amazing finds!
You really should listen to the Jazz stuff, you might enjoy it ;)
Long time that i had luck like this.... congrats!
Thanks! Yeah, I'm gonna listen before i decide what to do with them.
you left so many i was shouting out no no dont leave that behind lol...
I definitely don't know much about jazz...all i knew was that my total price was racking up, so, i had to make some on-the-spot (un)educated guesses as to what to buy and what to leave behind. JJ Johnson for example, said "with big band" so i guessed it was a little too old style...same with Ellington. I wish i would have got Ray Charles/Quincy Jones.
If the Jazz releases are mint as you say, then you're undervaluing a lot of them
You really scored jazz big time!
Thanks Tommy! That was crazy!!!
That Ray Charles on impulse that you speculated on was one you needed to grab. Any Impulse is great buy at 6, you can always flip if you don't like it. But that one rocks.
Yeah I'm kicking myself for not getting that one!
jackpot mate,as a jazz guy thats my dream find ...
It was crazy! Very rare to come across a stash like that!
Hey Tuco, you passed by two copies of that Paul Mauriat album, Big Chief will never forgive you. We’ve had to kiss a lot of frogs during your crate digging journey but you really hit the jackpot on this one. I’m happy for you buddy.
I've already got that Mauriat and several others.
Yeah, on my channel, my mission is to "keep it real"! I show EVERY thrifting adventure, whether we find good records or not....because i want to show the REALITY of thrifting for records...My goal is to show you that often you don't find records, but also a lot of times you do, and sometimes you even hit BIG!
Some good disco singles in there. Stephanie mills, Kleer, was that Shannon on Becket sleeve? Nice Ventures. Ashford and Simpson one isnt bad.
Holy shit what a dope haul of jazz man!
Ha! I thought of you when i saw those singles too!
yes some of those jazz albums are rare!, and i'd want some of them!!
Kinda mind blowing what you can stumble upon sometimes!
@@VinylHunter nice to see a native nebraskan looking for records i was born and raised in nebraska,GO CORNHUSKERS,LOL
33:15 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly' is such a great Sergio Leone movie with one of Ennio Morricone's best soundtracks and I had wondered if your 'Tuco" nickname was based on Eli Wallach's Tuco character from the movie and sure enough, you said that was the connection. :)
I love that era of Morricone soundtracks! Good Bad Ugly is one of my all time favorite movies! I adopted the nickname in 1999 as my stage name for our band Filthy Few.
Wow! You left 'JJ!' by J.J. Johnson?!!! Fantastic album.
I can't remember why. Perhaps it cost more?
Ah dang you put back the Bo Diddley and Ray Charles lol, but at $6 a pop I would have had to put back a few too
Yeah, i was afraid of how much i was spending
That was cool. The first $3 bins looked like 3/$1.00. Speaking of, I found a Verve record in 3$/1.00 and was comedy worth nothing. oh well.
Yeah! I found better stuff in the dollar records!
Wow, I am not even at the end of the video and that thrift shop has some great jazz lps. That is a score at three dollars each if they are in good condition.
Yeah! That was unbelievable!!! ...and in near mint condition too!!!
I have that Dickie Goodman lp. Good novelty lp
I'm kicking myself for not grabbing it! I've got a couple of his 45s including MrJaws
@@VinylHunter it happens. I get where I take pictures of inventory and go back and get if still there. If My regret is big enough
Yeah,Hoyt Axton is the guy in Gremlins.I think it's his mom who co-wrote Heartbreak Hotel. But none of this really matters. What matters is he made some Amazing records, dude!
.Most of the spines were gone, which maybe shouldn't matter, but really does .60's records are so hard to find in good condition.Bobbie Gentry looked like a diamond find last week
Anything on Verve or Blue Thumb is probably with bagging in good condition.
I’m honestly punching myself right now because at the time you found this amazing jazz haul, I was still living in town. For some reason, I’ve never checked out Junktion before. I would’ve been so excited to find those records, but I’m really happy to see you found them! Love the channel!
Yeah! Sometimes you find records in unlikely places! Junktion is by far the best place in Fremont to find records!
Hey Tuco, Been watching your channel for a while from over here in the UK. Really like the style. Any chance you'd sell me (and post) a few of those jazz lps? Long shot ... but if you don't ask, you won't get. Happy Hunting.
I found a McCoy Tyner for a buck yesterday but I've never had a large scale jazz mega haul like that.
Yeah! That was crazy! I got lucky!
I was at the right place at the right time
Dude waaay underpriced these "bangers"
TRS High Tide Green Grass + Booklet @ Salvation Army, Florida $2.00 USD. MEGA LUCK TUCO!
Good score!
Late with my comment. But would have loved to dig thru those 45s
I have a love/hate relationship with 45s! I like collecting them, but they're a pain to dig through!
I get where I buy any new Herb Alpert I find. Been buying Mr West lps too. Tuco I buy all cheaply
Priced in very good shape Jazz. Especially if I know the labels
Yeah! They're hard to pass up!
DON Ellis is fabulous
I noticed when i was editing that there was a beat up Don Ellis in the dollar records that i passed up
Don Ellis is a jazz trumpet player. I would have picked it up even though I have a promo copy.
Yeah i noticed the kinda rough one in the dollar records while i was editing this video. I did get a minty Don Ellis from the $3 records though!
You should’ve got duke Ellington mood indigos that’s great record
Yeah that one i wishi would have grabbed! And ray Charles/Quincy Jones too!
at 3.31 in there is a beckett twelve inch record,it looks like it is garfield flemings dont send me away, this is worth at least 400 dollars, maybe worth your while to go back see if its still there
I can’t believe you found records that cheap in a flea market/antique mall!!! They are rarely under $5 a piece in Northern VA!
On a side note, what program do you use to get that awesome text for your thumbnail image?!
Yeah he way underpriced them! He priced "lesser" records for more than he priced these bangers!
I use Photoshop to do my thumbnails and other graphic art. It's a pretty complex program though, so it's not really for beginners....I've been using photoshop a LOT for over 20 years.
You too can be the proud owner of this Johnny Mathis bachelor pad! The ex used to listen to Johnny Mathis which proves she had no taste. Bet you can't guess who her favorite female artist was (Answer at end of comment). As advertised, there is quite a beautiful haul of jazz classics, many of which would fill some wide gaping holes in my own collection....congratulations on that treasure trove! Hope you had a lot of money to spend on that haul, wow!
Johnny Mathis' pad!!! I'd love to have it!
Was your ex's fave female artist Barbara? No wait!... Mrs Miller!?
@@VinylHunter I forgot to leave the answer, didn't I? It was Anne Murray. Murray and Mathis, two of the most unemotional singers ever.
🤣😂🤣
You did pull some very nice early jazz LPs but you missed quite a few other gems that I assume you didn't know. (That Cryan Shames LP would have easily sold for example.)
Yeah there were a lot more i could have got there! I was buying sooo many though...i was afraid of how much i was spending. The only one i really regret not getting was the Ray Charles/Quincy Jones record.
@@VinylHunter Maybe you can return there and pick up what you missed - I saw at least 8 that were either very good or worth money in the $3s.
Go find a $5000 blue note jazz lp like I thrifted few weeks ago and then you can get excited lol
Wow! I was recently on what I'm calling "The Dig Of A Lifetime"...i found so many records worth hundreds! Not $5000 though. My friend who was also picking this collection found og Randy Holden Population II and og Morgen! We were paying $3 each!!! I'll have a video of the dig in a few months.
@@VinylHunter ya I scored Louis Smith - Smithville... 1958 mint
@@VinylHunter I own an orig Morgen w insert in shrinkwrap.. need that Population.
This haul is all about timing…plus the fact they weren’t a store that “held new arrivals” for a dealer, which is why many, many places anymore are dry as a bone with Andy Williams and Mitch Miller. There’s places I don’t even bother with anymore because of this blatant favoritism.
The places in town, even if they don't hold them for a dealer...there are dealers that hover around the back door waiting for them to bring new stuff from the back room, so anything good usually goes immediately.
Portrait of Cannonball happen to be something you’d sell??
value depends on the condition
Yep!
What! Go back and pick up the "The Cryan Shames" Great Album still in shrink
Yeah! I'd thought about getting it, but i was spending too much money already. I went back last week though...it wasn't there anymore, but i did pick up some more stuff!
@@VinylHunter next time you see it it's well worth picking up
I’m crapping in my pants watching this
That was crazy! I'll probably never find a nice batch like that again!
Very groovy, jazz deep dive. Minty fab. first pressings.
Don't throw the Stones cover ,as you'll probably find another copy with a nice condition record
Yeah, i added it to my stack of empty covers
Got a take advantage of the lack of record knowledge when the opportunities arise......like the 1980's all over again for you today...
Yeah! The guy had "lesser" albums priced much higher than these! What a crazy haul!
nope im into popular not others
Ho,y crap. Good jazz
Someone must have gotten rid of their jazz collection? George Carlin could be good and bitey.
that marty wilde u shudv got its a 50 usd record
