I took a trip to Abilene, Texas to search for rare vinyl records. It was mostly a day of 78s but I looked at some 45s too. My Instagram: / ibuyoldrecords My eBay: www.ebay.com/usr/mackari
I love your channel, I love your records, I love your accent. What you do now, I used to do as a kid, but I had to go by pedal power. There is nothing nicer than flicking through a pile of records in a thrift store. I discovered so many cool records in the late 60's as a 10yo kid with a Garrard record player. I still have one or two of the records to this day, and a record player.
Mack! Thanks so much for the plug for Move The Needle Music! Didn’t expect that at all really exciting! Man, I was just watching like I usually do and BOOM there it was. 🤷🏻♂️🤣 #honored Them Ray Charles 78’s in good shape?
Beginner question. A big bin of nicely bagged and tagged 45s and the 1st few $4 records are marked $10, stand there and look thru 300 records or move along?
I'd love to go digging for 78s. Here in the UK 99.999999% of them are classical or mor 50s pop. You'll see Elvis from time to time, and I've found a handful of other rock n roll stuff in 20 years of digging but never in any quantity
I started my collection because of a tote I was given and it sparked an interest in the old records. I love one I have of bird calls I am trying to find out about it but its hard to find some of the information on these obscure records.
# Went to sleep in Shreveport, woke up in Abilene - wonderin' why the hell I'm wanted at some town half way between. How appropriate that you'd pick up a few Dependable Mr. Cash scratchies on this trip, Mack.
Awesome 78's galore. Keep it going! 👍
We will!

All those 78s in big piles, the number of Ray Charles earlier recordings on the SWING TIME label is amazing and all in one place how rare is that.
Great upload Mack...great to follow you from here in the UK..Some superb bargains👍👍 Really appreciate you doing these..Fantastic stuff 👍👍👍
My pleasure!
Very cool Mack. It's always great heading out and finding records in the wild....Enjoy Buddy.👍

These videos always give me "digging fever" while I'm chained to the desk.
New sub here. Very informative and interesting video. Thank you
Awesome, thank you!
Surprised you passed on the Sister Rosetta Tharpe 45 :)
I would have snagged that one, too!
Yes, IIRC there was a problem with it. I love her stuff.

Mostly unplayed!
Another great show. Love the 78rpms. I have over 5000. Be safe
Yeah how much are they worth I'm trying to sell some
@@dannywillix755 I collect 78rpms not to sell. Some are good money some aren't. I do buy 45rpm to sell.
Thanks! Will do!

Good luck!
Quick rummage thru, look for odd labels, then move on

Hittin the 78 jackpot for a $1 a piece!
Love seeing parts of the USA you visit and listening too your fantastic comments 😳🇬🇧
What a shame about that Buell Kazee (like Crazy). That would have been a cool find.
I would've picked up that Buell Kazee for a buck, even if it had that chip taken out of it.
I wish i could do 78s videos here in Sweden lol.
Its ither shit music or stuff that CZcams dont like 😂
