Good luck with those New Direction bearings, I recently had a hell of a time locating two for an old repulsion/induction electric motor and the ones that came weren't sealed on both sides like the originals. That probably won't make as much difference since yours are in an oil bath. I think it was the first time in forty five years of turning wrenches that I couldn't cross a bearing over straight away.
Yes some are a pain to find. I had to end up paying a premium for ones for my drill press and lathe motor, but these crossed to a current manufacturer.
Question: my 1946 Delta 14” bandsaw has the belt/pulley guard on the back, but the latch & knob is missing. Do you have pictures of what it should look like? Thank you.
Mine does not have the belt guard but it should be a stud with a knob matching the blade pulley doors. It just holds both half together in the non hinge version. The hinges version has the same knob that holds a screw and a little plate. There's both versions on eBay right now to take a look. Item 234601804306 and item 225866513555
wow, someone really beat up some parts on that. I would think the cast blade guide is easy to find. There are so many of these saws out there. They are all the same, so new , upgraded or old are going to be better than broken ... Some New Departures are easy to find, and made by other companies, some... not so easy. For my mill, I had to buy from a service that locates hard to find bearings. How's the trunion and table?
Surprisingly a blade guide for a hex post is a little harder to find. The ones for a round post are everywhere. It took a couple of weeks of prowling ebay for one to show up. Fortunately these bearings are made by other manufacturers. The most expensive ones were $15 each. Trunions are perfect and there are no gouges in the table.
Great looking ole saw ! Getting hard to find those .. ENJOYED
Nice machine! I have one and use it often.
Halligan from Bohston takin it apaht. If I only had a dollah for every blue collah, I'd be friggin rich!

That's a pretty sweet find! Too bad about the color, but that's an easy fix.
