Earliest version of "Love of my life" that I have. I think Queen only started singing this song live for the "News of the World" tour. Live @ the famous Houston leg, 11/12/1977, Houston, Texas. Includes a short intro by Brian May.
My all-time favorite Queen ballad!!!! :-) Awesome vocals by Freddie (as usual). - Hudba
What a song. Brian plays beautifully and Freddie's voice is just the most wonderful sound on earth.

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💋
Brian is so talented, well the whole band is.
I hate Freddie for making me cry evrytime I hear him sung it.
Best voice ever
Love this, thanks 😊😊😊😊😊😊
I was there for this concert!
I hate you (Just jealous as hell)
You still have the ticket???
I wish I did but that was so many years ago.
Oh thats a pity. I would take that ticket to my grave with me.
tdevil101 I was at that show too and I still have my ticket stub. I saved them all back in the day and still have the scrapbook today.
Must be one of Brian's most precious memories.
True
I read a thing that Brian May said and it was “ I remember like it was yesterday Freddie was standing right beside me singing this song” 😢
Brian did this several times with Freddie
@@jrexx2841 This was their acoustic set while the others took a break. The other set was Roger on drums while the rest of the band took a break.
I can't imagine Brian's pain every time he play this song these days. They used to perform it a lot.
There is a recent concert where Brian is introducing the song and he cries. He loved Freddie and together they made music that was magic.✨🎸🎤
Brian talks about his parents flying iver for this concert. it was the first time they had seen Queen live. his father was against him going off with a band, but backstage, after this show, his father told him "I get it now". Brian cried when he told that story and said "thank you Madison Square Garden".
Except it wasn't this concert, this concert was Houston you are talking about Madison square garden NY.
@Joanne Egan ACtually it is Harold Hanging Basket.
Deborah Robertson this was in Houston, tx. Madison Square is in NY. Check out the info under title.
@Joanne Egan hahahaha
@@mojopin70 it’s actually Michael Jordan
my recent daily routine: listening to all queen's concerts
It's a great routine!
Surely is. I am doing the same.

Same.....every night ...songs...interviews alll
Beautiful nice to hear Freddie sing it all instead of the crowd
Oh yes, I agree. Though it's also mesmerizing when all the people sing along, I love this so much: Only Freddie and the guitar, his voice touches my heart and I can't stop watching this again and again with tears in my eyes.
It is so special to see this early version of one of the most beautiful songs ever written. To hear Freddy sing it all the way thru without any audience participation, is stunning. This was such a personal song for Freddy but he gave it to his fans and, in later shows, let us join in. Thank you Freddy
Agreed. I found this five minutes ago and am so happy to have found a version with Freddie singing all of it. Bliss.
You make a good point about no audience participation. Just the two guys and so pure. Not that I didn't like Live Aid version, but this is magical.
@@gaylachiriaco8667 Freddie and Brian didn’t perform Love of my Life at Live Aid though...
@@kilgore1863 Not at the original in 1985. No.
@@gaylachiriaco8667 Do you mean the Wembley concert in 1986? There is no other live aid.
Who else is watching in 2019? What a great moment they both shared with all of us
So true and so many many more..
Me i love queen
Yes..
Me
Every day for the last few weeks.
Freddie's voice n brian's guitar what a combination
just amazing. the guy had the voice of an angel.
Freddie never took personal vocal lessons, however he was in choirs when he was a kid and also grew up taking piano lessons.
The best male rock and roll singer to ever walk the face of the Earth........ RIP Freddie........

Never.
This is magic and poetry for our souls...💛✨
Just beyond words 💫
Belle chanson !!
I wish so bad that I could've been alive to see Freddie live in concert. He was so talented.
+ Anna BananasI did, in the 70's to Night At The Opera! It was wonderful! I'm now 63 and you should really listen to the editorial that was written about that album. It was done after Freddie died and if is really good. They (the band) thought that Bohemian Rhapsody should NOT have been the single, and they were really surprised when it made it! It really is excellent and I know you would appreciate it. I watched it on You Tube about 3 years ago, so it SHOULD still be here!
Same
I know.
@Tasneem Azim I think I was probably 13 the last time they toured North America.
@Tasneem Azim your mom and I are about the same age. It sucks though. I mean we can see Queen now, but we dont have Freddie! I'm not good with adjusting to new frontmen in a band. Hell, I dont think I can even go to the Fleetwood Mac concert without Lindsay Buckingham. I saw Stevie Nicks a couple of years ago. But I'd love to see Fleetwood Mac, oh well, same with AC/DC.
Absolutely magnificent..... there will never be another Freddie.
@alanvaytsman there will never be another Freddie! Adam is great but not Freddie
The most underrated Queen song by far. My all time favorite song by them tied with Bohemian Rhapsody.
+Lemon Drops This song is a great sucessfull in my contry: Brasil and others south america contris.
+Lemon Drops Who said that?
+Lemon Drops it´s not underrated, it´s one of the most famous and popular Queen song. There are many other songs which are really underrated like Great King Rat, Spread Your Wings, My Fairy King, Misfire, Jesus, Jealousy or Nevermore
Agreed, I think as far singing and a display of Freddie's vocal brilliance it's amazing and the greatest exhibition of it in it's simple splendour, but Bohemian Rhapsody is the greatest song ever in my opinion, like "Time" by Pink Floyd it's 3 songs packed into one absolute masterpiece.
its not, its one of queen most known song
One of the my favorite Queen songs. So sublimely beautiful and moving and always brings tears to my eyes. I can listen to this over and over and still feel as moved by it as the first time.
I r not alone….. it brings tears to my eyes every time!
You not I
I must Invent time machine travel back in time to see all queens concerts.
So much better than the recorded version on the album with all its overdubs, over instrumentation, and manipulated studio effects. All you need is a good accompanist like Brian May on a 12-string, an appreciative audience, and Freddie singing his heart out in front of you in the same room.
Honestly I really don't like the studio version that is on the album. It's okay but just okay. This? This duet at the concert is pure magic.
@@gaylachiriaco8667 I actually really like it. Maybe because I love classical music, and Love of My Life gives me beethoven and bach feels.
Melancholy blues is by far my best from queen written by Freddie too
So cute how they used to introduce songs. Love everything about this song live, especially some of the earlier ones.
What a song, what a singer, what a band!!!!
Love of my life.. queen band legend band
Freddy we still miss your beautiful voice..........
Died too early R.I.P........

In my opinion this is the best version of love of my life.
Was at this concert with my lover. We had been together 4 years on 11/12/77. Was such a surprise and a wonderful pleasure to get an anniversary gift like that.
are she married to you now?
What a moment you’ve had 💙
How beautiful was he 💜🖖🏽
Tears are flowing in my eyes while listening.. 'Love of my life' is one of my favorite.
One of Queen's greatest and also most underrated.
What a beautiful and magical voice...my dearest Freddie❤❤❤

Watching this on my iPad w/headphones at 12:32am...I had to hold my wife's hand. She woke, and I just had to tell her she's the love of my life...she answered " I love you, too..." and went right back back to sleep...snoring. Thank you, Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Your music will last countless lifetimes. RIP Freddie.
pandemonetyour so lovable husband.same way here but I’ve cried because I really miss Freddie Mercury..
Freddie is immortal
Easily one of the most beautiful and meaningful songs ive heard.....sooo much pain and love, i wish it wasn't always that way, there was a time when i loved someone with all my heart and she got me an autobiography of Freddie Mercury i wish i had read it instead of being prideful and thinking of what others would think.....
Truly beautiful song, probably my favourite Queen song. Freddies voice touches my soul. Gives me goosebumps every time I hear him. ❤ you Freddie xoxox
Rosie L-C mine too 💕
Beautiful song.
Freddie forever,the one and only!
For me Freddie's voice in the 70's are out of this world it was PERFECT!
When I was 16 years old, I got in trouble for running away with my boyfriend, so my dad took away my tickets to see Queen for the first time ever. I was heartbroken, but I still got to see the concert! because Queen, Freddie are in my heart! my mind and my soul! all I had to do was close my eyes and there I was, first row, center stage, and I still do the same thing to this very day!
so... because of that you never could see queen? It was so stupid run away with your boyfriend (no ofense).
Ida Mendez
You've been through a lot I guess. At least he is with Freddie. I only hope one day we can all meet with him...
>:(
I would have NEVER forgive my parents for that. Never..
Ida Mendez now his legend
The best live version of this incredible and brilliant song. How I regret I did not see them live, especially considering I'm a native Houstonian and should NOT have missed that opportunity. God rest Freddie's soul and flawless voice. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFT.
The live version of this song always beautiful and sounds better then the studio version
Absolutely amazing!!! Greatest frontman of all time!! Brian weren't bad either.
this is the best duo I have ever seen
Great memories, i love this moment of Freddie and Brian (life)♥Thx!
once in a lifetime singer never will have another
He was extremely loyal person, but if you traded on his name you were cut, no excuses. He loved till the end those who kept his secrets. We still miss you, F.B.
Loyal people expect loyalty out of others
Bollocks! He slept around continually. That's not even debatable. I guess he was completely loyal with a different guy each night! 😆 Sadly, he paid the price for that.
you’re an ass
@@DG-mv6zw loyal to those who earned his loyalty. dont be so stuck up.

Wonderful, brilliant.......Freddie Mercury and Brian May at the height of their powers!!Freddie's voice is at it's most powerful around this time I believe!!
Freddie, you were a sweetheart
Thank you my Darling
This is my favorite live rendition, before the crowd took the song over, and we actually get to listen to Freddie!
Freddie is the brain of the group. And Brian May is the heart of the group ❤
I agree.

Wow...just love it...this song is always in my mind...just cannot forget it..great song.
it's 2019 and I am still here for Queen. I was there in the 70's. I guess, more than 4 decades of Queen have not been enough for me, let alone to all their fans. Missing Freddie :-(
Which other concerts have you attended? Any recordings or photos?
I wasn't your big fan before watching the movie...
I really respect u freddie..
Your songs are so amazing...
Thanks for the amazing songs that you have given to us.. You were born to this world was a precious gift from God
Thank you My Darling
Why I wanna cry every time I listen to Queen's music? 😞😢😭
Just when you think nothing about Queen can surprise you something like this happens. I can't imagine how much bigger they could have been if Freddie hadn't died. We lost a major player in the music scene then and I don't see someone new taking their place.
Love the live performances ,,,
Freddie un grande artista, ti entra dentro all'anima, in pochi ne sono veramente capaci, peccato abbiamo perso tanto.... 😭Freddie aveva una sensibilità enorme. ❤️
He was a brilliant composer too!
How can you see and hear this without tearing up. Its impossible
there’s no better singer than freddie EVER. forever and ever
The most beautiful vocal chord that ever vibrated is Freddie's ❤❤
Beautiful!!!
my tears are falling while listening in this song .i miss your voice fredei
It’s the voice, he is the best singer ever to grace us in song !!!!
Mr. Mercury you're the best. You defy the traditional music. You're compositions maybe old to this generation but the melody and your spirit is now the benchmark of today's music.
On this day 24 years ago the world has lost the greatest voice! A great musician and best frontman!!!

The GOAT - never ever forget him. I worked at his concerts. What a great man and artist like no other ♥️
Great audio quality! And to think this was from 1977, splendid! My home theater is so happy.
In an age when music is so mechanized and manipulated, what a refreshing experience to hear two great musicians who happen to be rockers.
its dec 2020 and im still watching this!! this song just grows on you
This was how they started out singing this song. It was only later that the audience started singing with them. I love this video because I see how it began and I can compare with later concerts.
wowwwwww this voice is to make life easier...
I love how he sticks to the original recording more in this performance. In other performances he doesn’t hold the notes out as much as this one. Very beautiful!
That’s wonderful Freddie, absolutely wonderful RIP

Eso fue en Nueva York en Febrero de 1977, Brian lo ha dicho.
No dejo de escuchar sus temas, a esta fecha me conmueven y mis lágrimas mojan mi rostro. Vivo sus canciones.
@@luixpaproductions yes, the concert at Madison Square Garden is the first time Brian's parents saw him perform. He flew them over on the Concord (which Brian's dad actually worked on as an engineer) and it is at that concert they learn what a special, talented, awesome son they had and how good Queen really was.
