I’ll never forget coming down off the snowy mountain at the beginning, seeing the valley open up to the detailed expanse for miles and my jaw just dropping. The greatest game ever made, so far.
The trip to Horseshoe Overlook was indeed one of the most beautiful, most memorable and most of all, most peaceful parts of the game. Loved every second of it.
Which is sad, they get off the mountain and then put the game down. That's when most people stop playing the game.
I still remember my first time riding into valentine on that mission with uncle, tilly, mary beth and karen.

It's incredibly nostalgic to look at this now after experiencing this game and going through so much in life. It not only gave me the best gameplay experience, it gave me something to hang on to, and (it may sound silly) it made me learn so much about life and what truly matters, how people can change from one second to the other and how unfair it may be.
When I lost Arthur, a familiar feeling came over me, of grief, that I had never experienced before for a game. It was like he was truly alive and it rendered me numb for a couple of days, and I couldn't believe how deeply I was feeling.
Rockstar is the best game developer out there and nothing will compete with their storytelling, ever.

Our son is 4 years old now. Her and I have been separated for 2 years, no longer talk, and I now have a daughter with a girl I went to high school with. I’ve been in and out of jail a couple times. It’s crazy how fast the time goes in hindsight. 5 years have passed and my life is somewhere I never imagined it would be. This game came at a turning point in my life and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Great story, and it’s amazing when a game gets you like that isn’t it!
One thing I will have to disagree on though is the storytelling. This game is absolutely brilliant but far far off being a great storytelling game. Arthur is written beautifully, but most of the other characters aren’t and when you lose certain characters in the game it’s like meh, no connection. Witcher 3 for example is way way above this in terms of storytelling. But I do really like this game

I can’t believe it’s been 6 years. I still replay this game every few months and 100% it each time, it never gets old. This game will hold up for years to come, sometimes it feels like it came out just last year.
I never finished it when it first came out so I'm playing it over again now and it still feels like a new game. Far superior to Bethesdas Starfield.

I remember thinking originally that Arthur seemed like the generic jerk protagonist in this trailer and finding him a disappointing choice for a protagonist. Oh boy was I wrong, not only was he a fantastic protagonist who you could end the game with him being a massive villain or a relatable but flawed hero but he is one of the greatest video game protagonists of all time.

Man I never realized the extent of how good the voice acting is. Even when he screams “where’s are money” it’s not bland screaming, it’s reinforced with the actual emotion of anger and frustration. Rockstar has me seriously sold on this game.

If you want to extend the game just for the sake of playing and being immersed in it look for smoke in the distance and go to it. Kill and loot. I'm sure you already know this though. I spend more hours messing around in this game just so I could keep playing. Stealing carriages and taking them to that guy to get money for them. Fishing all the legendary fish. I absolutely loved playing this game

Playing this right now actually. Its honestly the best video game I think I have ever seen. The graphics are insane, even for 2022 and the story line is amazing. Just made it to the first epilogue.
After beating the game 3 times I think RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. But in my mind, The Witcher 3 remains at the top as the GOAT.
Rdr1 is still like right behind it aged really well they still pretty similar and rdr1 takes the point in some cases

I took a chance & bought it & I tell you no lie… The greatest game I ever played in my life. A literal Masterpiece & nothing less. finished this game 5 years ago 2 or 3 times, almost in a row. I just played through it again here 5 years later, my god.. still probably the best game ever made.
Only downside 30 fps ;(. I have games on ps5 that can run 120fps

No I'm pretty sure Arthur is the reason John leaves the gang. Remember the first trailer. You can hear him say, "When the time comes, run and don't look back." I think they're saving it but I speculate Arthur and John are gonna have a strong friendship and Arthur is probably gonna realize he's too far gone for redemption but John isn't so he tells him to leave and stands up against Dutch but dies in the end.
Arthur is obviously his right hand man so I think his betrayal and death and John bailing will split the gang up.
The best game that has been made so far, and I cannot imagine how the developers overcome themselves and make a better one in this series or in others
Rockstar may be greedy but they make the finest games. Other open world games don’t even come close
