A year ago the US dollar was worth 20 pesos and now 16.7. Prices here in Mexico seem to be going up on everything. It is still much more affordable than in our home city of Seattle. It seems you both had a great trip. Thanks for the cost breakdown. We are glad you are home safe and sound.

@@JerryBrownTravels I love your channel Jerry, I do not always agree with everything you say, but that's fine. I think Mexico is far more dangerous than you seem to want to admit or talk about. Just the fact that you were robbed by a police person (maybe fake cop), shows how bad it is, I can't believe you paid $1,000 to avoid getting your vehicle towed, when you did nothing wrong. I could show you statistics that prove how dangerous Mexico is, but it does not matter, you are obviously fully invested in Mexico, so you wouldn't want to hear any of the "facts/stats"

Enjoy watching your videos every week for the last two years. Planning to move to Ajijic next year. We saw you at Scallions Sunday breakfast buffet last May 2023. You were visiting with friends so we didn't want to interrupt you. Especially enjoy watching how well you both get along so well together and help each other. A great relationship. I love your house! Glad you had the courage to take a trip like this and glad you are home safe! Keep posting so I can live vicariously through you guys we retire!

With regard to estimating your travel costs you should have taken inflation over the 15 years into account, 15 years is a long time for even low inflation to do it's work. Using a US inflation calculator (so not Mexico but a period of relatively low inflation) $2500 a month in 2009 is $3600 a month now which is not far off the $4000 a month you spent. At the end of the day it's not that big of a difference given you were staying in nice central hotels and eating out a fair bit. You should cut yourself some slack on the spending, you did better than you think.

It's probably cheaper to get a small travel van.
Unfortunately there's not mini RV parks in the interior part of Mexico most of the RV parks or along the Pacific coast.
Lori doesn’t look 70
