    Hi Jerry and Lori, I can't thank you all enough for all your good work. I started watching you almost 4 years before I moved down about 2 years ago and you certainly gave me incentive to consider my move seriously and I thank you for that as I love it here! I met you on the street a few months ago and asked for a doctor reference - thank you Lori! I did go and liked her very much. I really appreciate your help on this matter. You guys are a treasure! Take care, Deb

    Looking out for seniors. Good to see picture of Kerry. I saw her in a couple videos of yours and met her in The Ajijic Plaza and talked about a relative. She was so friendly and generous with her time and info. 👍

    I strongly suggest you rent for the first year.
    This will give you enough time to really get to know the area you want to make your permanent home.
    I didn't follow that advice and would have found much more charming property for the same money or even less.
    This is good advice when ever you move to an unfamiliar territory. Mike

    They don't do FMM Cards anymore, they Stamp your Passport with the number of days allowed and right now they have been giving 180 days for quite a while.

    "..in their 70's with pre-existing conditions, I told them that they probably wouldn't qualify for private insurance down here but they could qualify for the Mexican Insurance policy." Are you refering to IMSS or a private Mexican company's insurance policy that you can qualfy for after 70? I know the answer to this but for the sake of your video maybe you should clarify this statement since you threw that possibilty out there. I always watch your videos and I know you mean well but sometimes you tend to be too vague on the information you offer. Just saying....and you asked for comments. Tell Lori I said "Hola!" Give her a hug and you'll get one back! Buena suerte!

    Hello Jerry. There is this lady in Ajijic, that is selling her fixed up house for almost US$ 2 Million. She doesn´t say its about 6 blocks from the main church (San Andrés) which implies church bells ringing all day, firecrackers and parades. Do you think she´s being transparent with the sale of her property?

    Hi Douglas here. I from Canada Alberta I was watching one of your videos you were say I could come down to Mexico and live on $300 a month. I just want to come down for 3 months at a time. I am retired now so I just want to get out of the cold months of Canada. Do you know any one I could meet up with and find a little old farm to live in?

    • @JerryBrownTravels
      @JerryBrownTravels  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Those videos where I am featuring someone who's living on $300 a month. They typically are not paying any rent and they're only living on rice and beans. I've only found four people that are that extreme. More realistic is about $1800 a month for a single person,

      Thank you for your reply. I only looking to go down for 3 months at a time, I just want to leave the cold months. I not look at a high price place to stay at. Is thier any one I could meet in Mexico to show me the ropes.

    This may be a strange question but Lori do you ever get slighted for having a gringo husband? Maybe it doesn’t happen to you
    since you aren’t “Mexican” but you can visually pass for being one. I had a few bad experiences with my gringo husband and it turned me off to certain parts of Mexico. It’s not the Mexico I remember of my child hood - the people are not so friendly as they used to be . I feel the gentrification and bad blood between our countries has caused some animosity of natives towards Mexican Americans that come to Mexico - especially with their gringo husbands. Sadly this mistreatment was always from women. What are your thoughts?

    • @JerryBrownTravels

    • @JerryBrownTravels
      @JerryBrownTravels  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I have set up an appointment with an immigration attorney here in Ajijic. Every time there is a new president they change a lot of laws throughout Mexico so I need to do an update. What information do you have about it that you can share with me.
