    So cool that you were there so long ago! My family has been going to Zihua every winter since the mid 70s. The secret is definitely out but it's still such a beautiful place!

    I've been there about 25 years ago. It was very nice, but it seems it has developed more. At the time Ixtapa was the place to be or more touristy. I think it is a best kept secret. Thanks for sharing this insightful information with us.

    Hi Jerry and Lori great travels. During all that travel on the highways there, you guys only got pulled over once or were there more police problems while on the road during the three months of traveling in Mexico. Just wondering 😊also I’ve been to the Zihuantanejo about 15 years ago and I thought it was wonderful. thank you.

      You are right Zihuantanejo is beautiful place. We put a lot of miles on our car and we only had that one incident all of the other places that we traveled were so calm and peaceful.

    Love following your journey. What's your take on safety there? Would you recommend retirement there?

    • @JerryBrownTravels
      @JerryBrownTravels  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That's an interesting question you bring up because when we were there we looked at the possibilities of living there full-time. The only drawback is it during the summer for two months we probably would leave and go to a higher elevation to wait out the heat of the summer along the Pacific coast.

    Hello you guys I appreciate your videos. They’re very entertaining and full of good information.
    I’ve been considering retiring to the Pacific coast of Mexico for several years, focusing on a few different areas
    This area has always been an area that I had some interest in
    A couple of questions. I understand that $60 a night is probably average or below average but still a lot of money on a budget for me. Are there any places to stay for less than that amount?
    Secondly, my goal would be to live there full-time and retire from my residential construction company and carpentry trade
    Do you think I could find affordable rentals for just myself studio, but would prefer a one bedroom with small kitchenette and bathroom
    And if so, any ideas what the monthly rent would be in total cost of monthly living?
    Certainly appreciate your assistance with this information and look forward to your reply
    Steve

      Steve thank you for your questions I think I can help you a lot more by having a private phone consultation with you and I talking about all these things I can give you areas that you can live on your budget also I can show you how you can qualify to live in Mexico even if you don't meet the requirements of a temporary visa. It will cost you a few dollars for the phone consultation but I have helped many people in the amount of money that the phone consultation cost will save you hundreds and thousands of dollars and also will save you time and frustration. Steve let's talk,

    Lori: in the Mexican Coast Guard in Centro there's a plaque commemorating the first Manila Galleon from Z-town to the Philippines, 450 years ago. Find it. Studies show some "coastal" Mexicans have Filipino DNA. Improve your Spanish; TONS of Tagalo words are Spanish.
