The guys were way more sympathetic to Will’s natural reactions than I thought. I would think being used to training people who are already somewhat badass would skew your view of normal stress reactions, but it seems they remained in touch with that.
Yeah that’s only because it was a sparks notes version of the actual course and for a civilian CZcams video. The real course doesn’t care about your feelings. Teams like this don’t want you by their side if you can’t even watch a video.
Lmao he’s a CZcamsr that wasn’t taking it 100% serious, he was having fun and doing good but it was a very soft watered down version of what they would really do, their would be no complaining and asking really you want me to do that or saying I quit at the first drop of water into his mouth, they would make you suffer suffer. I felt bad for him the entire time but he wasn’t looking at it realistically, he should have really been looking at it like what if I really was in this position and my life or someone else’s depended on it.

Bro same, I had a straight face the whole time, expecting Will to never crack a joke, and then when I heard him say that, I just burst out laughing
Being former military, while I was not completely exposed to the extent of these CT interrogation specialists as that is more tailored to special forces, I was put through scenarios where they simulated us being captured and held as a prisoner by "enemy forces". The fact that Will made it through those liveleaked style execution videos and still held his ability to show humour and maintain alertness is testament that you do not need to be a soldier or a spec ops operator in order to show strength in the face of adverse conditions.
Of course this is a nuanced take on the situation as they covered reversal techniques and this was toned down for the sake of youtube but the key takeaway is to remain mentally strong with whatever struggle you are facing. Great display and informative video Will! Love your content as always.

Never was consistent at the gym during covid and I'm almost 19 so I feel like I missed out on actually creating that routine, but you've definitely shown that it's never too late to start!

I feel that not many men would show themselves being scared to an audience of millions of subscribers. I have so much respect for you Will and watching this made me come to an even deeper realization that we are all human. That was raw to the bone.

seeing you watch those real execution videos gave me a bit of nostalgia is a sick sense. The goosebumps on your arms, and sick feeling in your stomach. Its something that will stick with you for the rest of your life. I feel its necessary to watch videos like that to understand how dark people can be. It pulls you out of the fairy tail of our comfortable lifes in a developed country. Props to you for sticking through it
I believe in this whole heartedly, watching a 4k 60 fps, of someones head being slowly sliced off is another world compared to anything you see anywhere.

I remember when I was a teen and decided to work in counter terrorism after graduating. I went on my internship and really saw what it was like. It's horrible and that's putting it nicely. Thank you for showing people what it's like. Your honesty is really appreciated!

Reminds me of my emergency medicine courses, of course to a much lesser degree. Instructor would regularly show some of the most gruesome scenes from vehicle accidents, to burns, etc. Just to show that while its not all blood and gore, you do have to have a strong mind (and stomach) for what you might encounter at any given scene.
Did the same with athletic training courses. Showing all the types of injuries athletes get. Some are downright horrible.
I can watch the realist fake gore videos all day long, but actual snuff films, they hit so different, can't deal with them at all. I'm right there with you Will.
The internet is a vile place I got traumatized at the age of 11 or 12 because internet trolls posted GIFs of Isis executions and extremely disgusting pornography (I'm serious, it's not like the normal stuff you see on the hub) , I have repented to Allah after what I have seen and thankfully I am slowly forgetting the exact images. But now every time I hear the same ringtone of Ronnie mcnutt i get instant ptad

I loved the fighting techniques. Several of them are in the Krav Maga. I love the resistant and fight scenario play, it's actually helpful. Maybe with some corrections ,but I am sure the guys do it like that for the video

I respect Will more than ever for doing this but he is not immune from being exposed to real evil. He may need to see a professional to deal with his now unexpected PTSD from viewing real executions. Evil exists and we need people to counter act that evil and put an end to it but as a civilian who wants to live a happy life you must stand guard at the door of your mind at all times and not let evil in. Don’t think for a second that you can just be exposed to anything and not suffer long term consequences for it.
I've seen that video and I can warn everyone to not watch that shit. Thanks Will for going through this training.

I think at the right age if your mentally stable it’s a necessary thing to see, I haven’t seen that specific video but was shown some similar by a buddy in highschool. Showed me how fortunate I was & is one of the contributing reasons I am the way I am.
Carrying a pocket knife since I was in the Boy Scouts, pepper spray at 16 & a concealed handgun at 21 with the permit & legal gun everytime I leave the house, constantly staying vigilant. It’s how I’m at peace / comfortable with my surroundings, knowing if the need arises I can defend myself or anyone who needs help. Too many criminals & mass shootings for me not to. Sad we have to live like that but it’s much better than being a defenseless victim imo

The beginning of the video takes me back to my teen years. My memory is bad but you can bet your ass I remember every live leak style video my curiosity forced me to finish. There weren't many but it definitely stuck with me and messed with my head.
