- The latest New York Knicks injury news on Mitchell Robinson according to Ian Begley of SNY is that Robinson will be OUT for Knicks vs. Pacers Game 2 of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Robinson sustained an ankle injury earlier in the 2023-24 NBA Season and had surgery on it, he also re-aggravated the injury in the Knicks vs. 76ers series. The Knicks are calling it “left ankle injury management” and will see how Robinson responds to the rest throughout the course of the second round of the NBA Playoffs. The more Robinson is out and Hartenstein and Achuwa plays well, Robinson becomes tradable. He is a defensive beast for sure, but he is a liability offensively and at the free throw line.

Okay. I've said it almost three years ago. It was time to move on from Robinson. before he was resigned by our Knicks, NO OTHER TEAM EXTENDED AN OFFER SHEET TO MTICHELL ROBINSON. Too many injuries, constantly getting beaten off the dribble in the paint by smaller players, had gotten better fighting for contested balls, but still a horrible free throw shooter. It's time to move on, and look for a center in the draft, like Filipkowski or P.J. Hall.
Robinson didn't look good in game 1. Hopefully he gets healthy and will return to his old self before the playoffs are over
