10 years ago we had galaxy s2. Actually, it's worse then entry level (at least by my standards). Garbo resolution, tiny battery, very slow cpu. Almost unusable! But to be fair, I don't think progress in the next 10 years will be as fast and drastical

The reason a phone is expensive is not the design and the camera
Its the chipset
No it's the supply chain and manufacturing costs. For example, China used to.be the main source of skills factory labor. But chinese labor costs have been skyrocketing and companies can't really pull out because youre making a smartphone not a T-shirt and moving to somewhere cheaper like Vietnam is not viable since the factory workers there are mostly unskilled. So that raised smartphone costs. Then.you have customs, taxes, shipping, and a.bevy of other bullahit. And chipsets are not the problem, the.components to build a flagship costs like 500 dollars. If oneplus, a company who spends virtually no dollars on stores or ads has to.hike their.phone up 200.bucks every year like 100 bucks are.coming from.labor.and.supply chain increases

Keep price same but decrease quantity ( like many food brands do)
Or increase price but keep benefits same or improved ( like smartphones)
I would love that every phone from Note 9 would be the same with removed changed in terms of features, but upgraded specs, smaller bezzels with no holepunch and some new technologies that fit perfectly in that design, like a third camera that will make the phone look like s10. And the S line would change every year, this would differentiate Note and S again

Edit: This is the most likes i ever got so thank you all, also my sister told my nephew that she is buying him a samsung note 1 until he can keep a phone until it destroys after 3 years. (Ever phone he has always fall and breaks, they never last 3 years, but all of my phons last for 3 years or over, 1 phone got stolen from me and i gave 1 to my bro when i got an upgrade. Btw my phone got stolen when someone cut my window mesh and took it the window was unlocked.)
A phone doesn't really need to be high end. I think battery is the best thing to look at when it comes to phones
@@anouaressanoussi I'm sorry, but I don't agree. I understand that you don't need super latest high end phone. But, I have a Samsung J5 2016 for more than 2 years and trust me, the battery is the only thing that is good, since I don't use it that much. When it comes to memory, camera, processing, it's awful and honestly very painful to use. I understand that we are talking about a budget phone, but you should not only look at the battery. If I could switch between the specs, I would wan't a better processor on my phone then a good battery. Because battery is nothing if you have a very slow and poor phone that even the basic use of it makes you go crazy and mad.
you could have gotten a budget xiaomi thatâs more than 10 times better for only 100$ and you chose a Samsung junior 2 :/ good luck. I had a j2 and it was pretty much impossible to use because of the shitty performance, I canât even imagine how much it will slow down the next 2 years for you
I still use the XT1022 (MotoE) of a family member and their Samsung J7.. when now they moved on to the A50
Not sure how much you spent on it but there are a number of budget phones with better batteries and a decent memory and processor, Galaxy A50, A70 they are decently priced
