    Hi Chhavi, new mom of a 6 days old baby girl. I'm planning to pump my breast milk (for night time only )as I'm feeling so much pain at night and not able to sit and feed her properly. Is this going to confuse my baby and make breastfeeding difficult?

    • @MyParenthood
      @MyParenthood Před 4 lety

      Hi aswathy. Hope you were able to pump and feed your baby. But just for information , I would like to recommend that it is always better that pumped milk is fed through feeding cups ,spoons or palada. Mainly it is the bottle nipple that confuses the baby . Try to fix time for feeding pumped milk.

    Well pro lactation foods is not just a myth! I have been exclusively breastfeeding my baby since 4 months and out of my own experience I say that certain foods do help in breast milk production. Shatavri, a herb, is sply known for its milk producing property. And I would say that any mother having a low milk supply can try Shatavri and see the results.

      I too agree on this..it's not myth that food helps to increase milk production not only that quality of milk also improves based on what you eat ..I am experienced myself as during 1st baby I was hardly able to produce milk but during 2nd one I specifically took care of my diet n it worked

      It is scientifically proven that There are some food whose consumption aids in production of breast milk and I can say that out of my own experience . My baby was not locking to breast neither was taking formula . I had no choice other than keeping my supply up which I did by pumping and by consuming garlic and fenugreek . Also saffron,cumin (jeera)and carom (ajwain) seeds not only help in digestion but also help in production of milk. There are fenugreek tablets also available in market for the same purpose . U will find it on amazon

      @@pragatidharmale2733 Thanks for your comment. I beg to differ. Thesepractices are mostly prevalent in India, however we have mothers word over. :)
      My views are based on my own experience and a lot of research that I've done. I didn't consume any of these things but never had a problem. Once again thank you so much for engaging and sharing your own experience!
