The ost that plays when Buu destroys earth is amazing. Really gives you the sense of hopelessness that Goku and Vegeta felt
That ost first plays when Ginyu uses his body change, and later when Namek is exploding, when #17 kills Gero, when Trunks attacks #17 and #18 following Gero's death, when Cell mortally wounds Piccolo, when Cell is dying, when Gohan goes SSJ2 leading up to Spopovich and Yamu taking his energy, and maybe one or two more times after that but before this time. It plays in a variety of situations, but the track is named after the scenario where it first plays; 'Ginyu's Transformation'.

Kid Buu's actually a lot weaker than Buuhan (despite liberties taken by the dub implying he's stronger). If he was still that strong, Goku and Vegeta wouldn't have a prayer without fusion. He's just dangerous because he's so aggressive and crazy. As sadistic as Buuhan was, there was at least some reason to him and his actions. Kid Buu is totally without reason. He's pure chaos.

I don't think that's the case, either. Goku was still cautious about engaging Super Buu without fusion, but was confident in his ability to defeat Kid Buu as a SSJ3. If he could have beaten Super Buu as a SSJ3, why didn't he just do it when he had the chance?
Then there's Super Buu himself: Why was Gohan so special, requiring this elaborate plan on Buu's part to defeat him, if he's already seen Goku in action? Why wasn't he similarly impressed with Goku? He didn't know Goku was dead: when he turned up at the lookout, he didn't ask for Goku, he asked for the fighter that Goku had promised and was irritated that Goku wasn't there to keep his promise. If he was after a good fight, why didn't he demand Goku instead? And why didn't he spend time thinking up a plan on how to deal with Goku the same way he did Gohan?
The obvious answer is that both Super Buu and Gohan are superior to SSJ3 Goku. And, by extension, superior to Kid Buu.
That's why Super Buu didn't want to revert to this, it's like someone forcing your brain out of your body and making you solely rely on animalistic instincts

The green guy is called Paikuhan and he's actually really strong. He's an anime original character created to be Goku's rival during his training in the otherworld. That guy could defeat perfect cell with ease.

Man seeing Kid Buu again is such a gem , literally doesn’t have a mind and just wants to destroy or fight anyone that’s a strong opponent.
As you head into the final stretch of DBZ, i just wanna say that its been a real nostalgic treat watching you experience the show for the first time. Reminds me of my excitement as i watched it growing up. Thank you for sharing your experience with everyone and enjoy the conclusion of Z.
To clarify a couple of things:
Kid Buu is merely how fans have come to refer to/label this iteration of Buu. However, his actual name is merely Buu, as this was how he was originally created by Bibidi.
Also, this version of Buu isn’t necessarily the strongest, per se, but according to official sources, he IS the most dangerous, as he is the most primal, unpredictable, and therefore, the most notorious. He’s literally a wild beast that can endlessly regenerate, distort his body, absorb his opponents and borrow their power and abilities, and blow up planets. He has literally ZERO chill.
That's history man, Kid Buu is how's referred to in every piece of media now, same for Majin Vegeta.

Fat Buu was naïve as a baby and Super Buu could be convinced to wait for a better fight and be tricked by children into looking for candy.....Kid Buu would have laughed at Goten and Trunks playing games and killed them before their fusion...or destroy the look out or planet before they were ready.

I think of it like this. All the buus are immensely powerful but different versions have different motivations and are less or more primal. Kid buu while not being the most powerful is the most dangerous cuz the guy will literally just show up and blow up ur planet in like 10 seconds. No fight, no struggle, no nothin just instant death

The fused versions had more power. Buutenks had piccolos and Gotenks power added to his own. Buuhan had Gohans power added to his own.
The only weaker incarnation of Buu was good fat Buu.
Kid Buu is the most dangerous version of Buu and the most powerful unfused version.

Also when Buu saw Goku's instant transmission as Buuhan, with Piccolo and Gohans intellect, he was able to learn the move himself, and copy it. In the anime when Goku first came to Earth, from Supreme Kais planet, with instant transmission, Buu was like, "instant transmission". Also, Kid Buus regeneration, is a lot more efficient, it's like instanous and takes no stamina.
It does take stamina. But I mean he was fresh and had a lot of power.
Also I'm pretty sure the sleep thing is a rapid stamina restoration technique. If they'd press the attack instead of staring at it in confusion...
Just like before he was Kid Buu. As Fat Buu, he was able to copy the Kamehameha by just watching Goku do it.
Absorbing people delutes the potency of his other natural abilities I believe. His stamina and Regeneration mostly.

Goku actually fought most of those fighters in the otherworld right after the cell saga in a tournament thats really good! Also props to krillin for steppin up despite getting worked😂

Now that is a popular opinion that even I also formed, but when you look at the manga, Earth's destruction was almost instantaneous. The anime just dragged out the scene for the sake of dramatic suspense. Goku had only mere seconds to grab whomever he could in the manga and the closest people were obviously Dende and Hercule. Not for the sake of the Dragon Balls because that didn't turn out very well...but because Goku didn't want to leave anyone behind, which...didn't turn out very well either. It's a lose/lose situation. Amongst Gohan and the others are also Tien and Chiaotzu.

Definitely an insane version, kid Buu takes his regeneration skills to the limit, he will take hits just to blow up the enemy if he wanted, hence his joy in blowing up planets without hesitation by killing himself in the process.

But Akira Toriyama never intended that, and it's patently obvious from the events in the narrative that Kid Buu CAN'T be the strongest, due to his performance against not only Goku, but also against Fat Buu.

Buuhan > Buutenks > Buuccolo > Super Bu > Buff Bu (Sud Kai Absorbed) > Kid Bu (The Original) > Fat Bu He loses a good amount of power but gains the magic of the Supreme Kai) > Evil Bu (Grey One) > Good Bu (The weakest since most of the power was in the evil part)

Freiza grow up and gain more body mass and power, and lose everything and appear to be smaller in its final form, but he's just a monster in that form.
Semi-perfect cell was bulky and tall.
Perfect cell was perfect, and around the same size, juuuust a tiny bit smaller.
But for Buu, the narrative perceptions, make us believe things that arent even real in this story.
Gotenks could beat Super Buu ? Meh.

How does Buu's absorption works ?
He absorb the person, stealing their abilities, and knowledge, and mix it with his soul.
He's suffering, he feels things, his regeneration is slower, he can get super angry for nothing and lose control over his power.
The further he goes away from its pure form, the less evil, and the less evil, the less inner power he have.
The more evil he is, the most absolute he become.
His only restrain is the sadism of a child playing with an ant.
Kid buu, or pure buu, wasn't that smart, he loved to make people suffer and laugh and dance a lot. he took nobody seriously. Playing with them just to enjoy their pain and struggle.
He was soo fucking strong, he even catch and start to throw back the Super Genkidama on Goku, slowly. The same Genki that killed Omega Shenron in GT, an enemy that was supposed to be, wayyyyyyy more powerfull than him.
Omega shenron didn't even stopped it too, just got blown away, reduce to atoms.
That "kid buu" is the strongest fear of Super buu, he BEGGED Vegeta to stop. He knew that, if he's wreck from the inside, he would transform back and lose all consciousness.

Buu saga ending a little bit more. Because it takes a united effort to defeat Buu, not saying how, but you know. Goku talking to his son during the father son Kamehameha is touching and moving but it doesn't live up to what they had to do to defeat buu. Plus the way it looks, is amazing.

Kid Buu, while not the strongest Buu (Buutenks and Buuhan are stronger) is the most dangerous and destructive since he's completely insane and is just a rampaging madman that destroys everything in his path. Since he's a manifestation of evil, and the Kais are beings of purity, each Kai he absorbed actually weakened him instead of making him stronger.

Aimin bro, this was the episode I legit cried as a kid watching the earth getting blown up. Goku watching helpless just like me, and no talk like Frieza just action.
Oh and for Buu, the original form is Kid Buu. Fat Buu is a product of Kid Buu absorbing the Grand Supreme Kai, and the kindness of the Grand Supreme Kai changed Buu. Now things get complicated tho.
After Mr. Satan got shot, Fat Buu expelled all the evil inside him and he became Good Buu. The evil inside him took form as Evil Buu (the grey one), like Kami and King Piccolo one good one evil. Now see it as this, Fat Buu is the opposite of Super Buu. Fat Buu is just Good Buu being in control, and Super Buu is Evil Buu being in control. But since Vegeta ripped away Good Buu from Super Buu, he reverted back to his original form. There is no “Evil Buu” to go back to, because Evil Buu is just a part of Fat Buu, that manifested itself when it got expelled and decided to take over control.
It’s really complicated, but hey it’s magic so I try not to bother too much.
