What are your thoughts on using a different screen size for mobile content? I remember exporting in 1920x960 for a while
There might be an obvious answer for this but should I scale up my projects 1080p sequence settings to be 4k before exporting? In the media encoder there appears to be a black box around my project now.
@@bobbirahmirres3638 Same... I can't seem to find an answer to this at all. Very frustrating.
Matt, I thought Facebook won't upload 4K or it just lowers the quality automatically.
I just want to say a massive thank you. I was so grateful when I found your first videos. Was super worried when I saw the change in export screen. Can't tell you how grateful I am. I've no clue, and your export settings, explanations were crucial for my video editing, so thank you!!
Difficult to count how many useful tips I’ve seen on this channel 👍🏻
First time watching your content! Enjoyed! Im going to try this settings. Thank you
for the last 24h I've literally watched so many of your videos! Honestly - every question I had about editing, exporting etc, you answered. Super helpful! Thanks a lot!!
Matt, I've now watched several of your videos. The clarity, generosity, and accessibility with which you teach is superb and much appreciated. You are making a difference. Thank you. from a new subscriber.
Dude, I must have done close to 50 exports/youtube uploads testing different settings because I was getting a very grainy/pixelated 1080 video. Exporting in 4k fixed almost everything.
Thank you!
Matt...as always....you made this whole tutorial very simple and useful. Thanks a bunch!
Awesome!! Thanks so much creating an updated vid for this- and so quickly!! Really appreciate it! 🙏🙏😁 Have a wonderful day!
I only shoot in 1080 but I did these settings and the image quality is significantly better. Yes the file is bigger and the rendering time was significantly longer, but the results are worth it. Thanks Matt for another great video!
When you say significantly longer I’m rendering a 5 second 4K clip and it’s taking over 10 mins, I’m using a MacBook Pro M1. With normal 4K rendering it takes seconds but with Matt’s setting well over 10 mins. Is this what you are experiencing?
@@sambrad94 I similar computer and my export rate is rather quick usually but my export time is currently saying 27 hours for a 17 minute video - is this normal?
@@baileyannoriginal yeah my video was like 2.5 minutes and it was 2 hrs
@@baileyannoriginal a 3 minute video clip I just exported, that would normally take 10 minutes, took an hour. Getting same results, so yes, it looks like export times are extended by quite a bit!
My export time is over 50 hours - I’m running a MacBook Pro M1. Video is 25 minutes long. These export settings don’t seem feasible to me. Any suggestions?
This couldn't come at a better time. was searching CZcams including your channel for export settings just today
These videos are always life savers Matt! Thanks so much you're the best
Thank you Matt! Right wehen I updated my Premiere, went straight to your channel to see if you had an updated export setting and you did! Awesome stuff Matt!
This is the best pr video i have seen. thank you so much! I immediately liked and subscribed!
Thanks for that Matt! Great video as always.
I truly cannot thank you enough, I've been attempting on and off for over 3 years to start vlogging.
I even purchased new camera and premier pro software and still my video quality was horrendous...
I followed you setting to the letter only adjusting the bit rate as you recommended to compensate for the 360 camera and finally it's worked, I have now posted my first ever 4k rendered and CZcams quality video .
You sir are a legend....
Kind regards Steve
Thanks so much for updating this!
Thank you very much for the info and for the presets, Matt.
thanks man!!! love the energy, the info and the beard.
So many great tips here! Thanks Matt 🙏🏻
You are the G.OA.T Matt!!! I was nervous about saving the wedding video I put together. The instructions you gave was like a “Hot knife through Butter!” LOL! Thanks BRO!
😂!!! You know we needed this! I was just looking at the new premiere layout last night and was clunking around!
Thank you for doing a 2022 version of this! So helpful!
Your the best bro. Love the way you teach, very easy to follow.
Just found your channel, subscribed and will be crawling through your videos on the regular. Thank you!
Love it! Thank you AGAIN! Somehow I feel like you're the only guy on CZcams I can trust with these settings :D
Will the colors export properly or do you recommend using the lut effect while exporting to avoid the colors being washed out?
Thanks for this VERY detailed video Matt!
Love the way you explained all this! Thanks
So many great tips here! Thanks Matt
Everyone should have to watch this video before doing anything with editing software. You make it easy to understand and demonstrate your talent for video making as well.
I am a new youtuber and this video helped me to clear by doubts. I was taking videos in 4k and was not able to see that much clarity in my uploaded videos. But now I realized the mistakes..I'll be rendering my next video as per your guidance.
Thank you & Best wishes for your works.
this was an amazing tutorial. Thanks man!
Thank you very much for this video, it was really helpful! 🙏
Great video. Super clear communication, not a lot of fluff. Very easy to follow along. Very helpful. Thank you
Once again thank you Matt for all your wisdom !!
legend. I always use your channel for the best settings!
Hi, Matt, I'm going to render a video for youtube but there's a client that might want the original footage for his personal use. Which settings should I use? I have several different clips with quality and aspect ratio (1080 and 792 mostly).
finally a video worth its weight in gold, thank you so much.
It's my favorite export expert on CZcams! Thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial Pat. Well done and helped me with what i was looking for quickly.
Question Matt: Do you recommend editing on a 4k timeline if you're going to export in 4k? Or is it better to edit your 4k footage on a 1080 timeline so you don't lose resolution when you punch in on shots ... and then will it still look good when you upsize to 4k on the export?
Thanks for this video. Should the output color space be always rec709? When should you use rec2020 output?
Great info right here! Thank you!
You're the freakin' best Matt. I had been waiting for a HEVC guide. Yours have always been the best in the past and this video is no exception.
what would the frame size be if your uploading a short or IG REEL?
Thank you for your hard work! These videos have helped me a lot.
Love the information, thanks a lot
There's one problem with this method, when you choose CBR, the Encoding changes to Software Encoding from Hardware Encoding. Then what do you choose for the VBR 1 Pass?
Thanks! That was super helpful! I was going crazy about my videos not being clear on CZcams. But now my video is failing every time I try to export it. It says "error compiling movie". Any ideas what I should try?
I do drone footage for various local realtors to post their listings to Instagram. What settings would you recommend to avoid the compression large files find when posted to IG? Just keeping it 1080? Thanks!
Great video Matt! Quick question though. CZcams has a maximum file size for upload so how can we upload our videos with this process if it’s making them way too big?
I just wanted to say...I LOVE YOU MATT!! I don't know how many times you've saved me during difficult times when I just wanted to throw my computer somewhere it shouldn't been thrown🫠!! YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER!!!!! Thank you🙏 You're absolutely the best!!!
Thanks Matt. This really helps
Thank you so much Matt, great video.
Hey Matt, quick question for ya. Every time i export a video it downloads 3 different files and i was wondering how i can get this to only be one file/ (there is always separate files for audio, visual and commentary for some reason instead of it being put into one file)
Thank you a billion for the helpful information! blessings
Hi Matt! What kind of camera are you shooting this video in? I’m trying to use your video as an example but I am having an issue. I used your Lut and all your settings but my video keeps looking washed out, yellow and blurry. How can I get on a zoom with you?😊
Hi matt! quick question, as per 7:12 on your video. What if my video consist of mixed slow motion (120fps) and 24fps. should I still use the target bitrate of 50 (MBPS)???
You Are The Best Matt💪🏻, Thank you for the tip
Hi Matt, thanks for all your tips, it is great getting back to video with help!! Do you change anything to these export settings for clients? Thanks!!
Thank you! I just updated PR and dial all these in :D
These settings solved something very unexpected. With CZcams 4K preset, I was getting this error on my huge 4k videos 'File importer detected an inconsistency in the file structure of filname.mp4. Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled' (exporting to m.2 with 1.5TB free space) Now, with these new setting, it exported withot an error and the quality is better too😃 Now lets see what YT thinks about h265🤓 Thank you so much, Matt and keep up the good work👍
Very helpful, thank you for this!
Thanks for the video, and I will try to implement the method on my videos
The timing on this video! I just finished an edit on my new M1 Max ( A7s 4K 120 fps footage) so I didn’t have my old 4K settings saved, which were on my old PC. Was planning on looking for the older version of this video today!
haha you even kept the script and lines same in your new 1080p export video. awesome!❤️
Thanks for this!! Works wonders!
Thank you for this amazing tutorial!
Very good tutorial, thanks for updating for 2022
Hey Matt! I followed this video to export my first 4k video and was wondering where I went wrong because the final video exported as a .m4v- any idea why that happened?
Thanks man ! Very helpful
Hi Matt. Almost complete beginner to video editing here. Thank you for your help in this. I followed it step by step yesterday, so I think I have the exact same settings. But once my file was exported I received a 'You need a new codec to play this item' in Media Player. I had previously exported from Premiere Pro and the Mp4 file did play no problem in Media Player. I have Windows 11 Pro. Is it something to do with the audio file I added via 'Essential Sound'? I did sign up to the Adobe license for audio.
thank you so much i have only been exporting 1080p videos now im exporting rlly high 4k videos and thanks for just putting a file to import so much faster
Thanks Matt, you are a star 😀
You're A M A Z I N G! Been following you for so long. TY MATE
Awesome Tutorial ,it is simple to understand, Thank You
Another great video. Thanks!
Thanks Matt!
Thanks for the great tutorial, it made a huge difference.
Matt... would you suggest the same settings for a smaller (up & coming😉) podcast video? Does it make a difference?
Amazing thank you subscribed 😊🙏
Great information. I hate editing and i'm a novice at this. Quick question, should we use the same settings for vertical videos. Specifically footage shot from our Iphone? Thank you very much.
Thanks so much for this information.
Amazing! Thanks for the tutorial.
Great help! Thank you!
hey matt, thanks for going through this. HOWEVER, i have 2 MAJOR PROBLEMS with this process and result. 1) your output settings produce a BLACK BAR left and right of the image. i can see the exact same problem i had in your video above. not a nice look for youtube. if you are going for highest VISUAL QUALITY, i would say this is a NEGATIVE 2) my 30 sec vid took above 45 MINUTES to OUTPUT. i can endure that for a 30 sec clip however not for a 30-60 min OUTPUT. maybe i am doing something wrong. can you suggest a more efficient process with similar quality? thanks
Dang.. Now I need to upgrade my vimeo subscription.. 11GB for a 3 min highlight video when it was previously just 2GB..Everything is a trade off.. Great work as usual Mr Beardo! 😁
Thank you for this info!!!!
Hi Matt
Would you happen to know a setting to extend the timeline, for some reason I can only create videos upto 23 minutes :(
Thanks for your hard work 😓 its really help us out for video editing
Hi Matt, what about the black bars on the side which suddenly appears when I upscale FHD to 4k and then export it? I can see you got it also on this vid.
I have tried the direct upload to youtube from premier and it a very cool feature when exporting. I wonder if all these setting are applied to the youtube upload too.
I was able to follow all of this, except to use hardware encoding I had to switch to VBR 1 pass (target 60 for 30 fps). When I used CBR encoding, my estimated time was 60 hours on a 42-minute video. Will the VBR 1 pass do fine in this circumstance? All other settings were followed. Thank you!
Most awaited video is here!
Thanks for the quick video on the 4k settings, quick question though, what if I recorded on my cell phone 4k 30fps and change it to 23.976 fps on the export settings will it still be 4k or will it just be more smoother or whatever? or should I just keep it to 30 fps?
Hey Matt have just got my self an M1 Mac book pro 16gm Ram hopping it will support Hardware encoding. But with (HEVC H.265) its says system can not support hardware acceleration for the current settings. How can i work that out.
Hi Matt, love your 2022 PPro export video. Been editing and exporting with all the previous PPro's. Having some problems getting the color with the 2022. Looks great after Lumetri CC but Loses the look after Vimeo. Remedy?
My 4 min video was 30mins plus or minus a few minutes versus 7 hours. Might be my clunky computer, but I'm ok with H264. BUT... I really do appreciate that you came out with the best settings possible for the latest release and will still continue to follow. Cheers.
Thank you for the preset! Is there any way to speed up the encoding? Im on the Apple M1 Pro 16gb and 20sec of video is taking 1hour & 30 min. Footage shot on the the Sony a7IV XAVC S 4k. My Progarde v90 card doesnt allow for XAVC-I 4k
If I shot in 4K with HDR on my Sony FX3, do I need to enable any special HDR settings during export or will the HDR already be in the video?
Your videos are sooo good. Thank you.
