I've seen iron maiden in concert 8 times in my life, and not once could I see nicko bang those drums, cause his drum set is so massive. This is a nice video thanks for posting!

Nicko foi uma das minhas maiores referencias na batera e sempre será ... assim como o iron ele criou algo próprio, um estilo que muitos seguem e se apoiam para criar o seu próprio. A verdade é que a maioria dos que falam besteira nesses vídeos é porque não o conhecem e nem conhecem o trabalho completo do maiden ... nicko tem pegada, feeling, variações incríveis, boas viradas, enfim ... conheço muitos bateras de death metal, pedal duplo extremo e técnicas apuradas que não chegam nem perto dele quando o assunto é personalidade e contribuição para a musica em geral. Procurem se aprofundar mais para falar dele, vídeos antigos, vídeos em que toca blues e jazz ... solos incríveis ...enfim NICKO É FODA !

As Iron Maiden fan for over twenty years and also play drums, always been a fan of the style Nicko, but I realize that he arrived at the peak of its performance, as in the albums Seventh Son of a S. .., and Somewhere in time .
I saw two live shows him lately and live he is leaving something to be desired, he can not leave the original music and gives many grooves and face clueless in the middle of the song you end up breaking the rhythim, so to me that besides fan and always followed his way of playing, I realized that taking a little walk on the speed of the music and changing the original recording. And also have to take into account that he is a man of almost 60 years of age, muscle bone however good, fades with time. But I'm still a fan of Nicko and also Iron, my favorite band.

como fã do Iron Maiden há mais de vinte anos e também tocar bateria, sempre fui fã do estilo do Nicko, mas percebo que ele chegou no auge da sua perfomance, como nos albuns Seventh Son of a S..., e Somewhere in time.
Vi dois shows ao vivo dele ultimamente e ao vivo ele está deixando um pouco a desejar, ele não consegue deixar a música original e dá muitos grooves e viradas sem noção no meio da música que acabam quebrando o ritmo, isso pra mim que além de fã e sempre acompanhei a forma dele tocar, percebi que anda tirando um pouco da velocidade da música e modificando a gravação original. E também tem que se levar em conta que ele já é um senhor de quase 60 anos de idade, a musculatura óssea por melhor que seja, se esvai com o tempo. Mas continuo fã do Nicko e também do Iron, minha banda preferida.

I just found out about his restaurant a few months back from my mom, I asked her-"Has aunt debbie (my mom's sister) said anything about Nicko lately?" Mom said "not really but she said he opened up a restaurant in florida" My aunt debbie talks on the phone with Nicko's mother-in-law quite often.

get a good pair of head phones and listen to maiden listen to nick, his grove playing is amazing he just does not pound the skins he makes them sing, just a brilliant drummer, you have many great drummers but the ones that make their drums sing with infectious groves are the great ones.

Bom gosto cada um tem o seu,mas esse cara é considerado um dos melhores baterista de rock do mundo,se não me engano é o único do gênero que consegue fazer o som de pedal duplo sem o uso do mesmo através de uma técnica própria.
e quanto a ele não usar a perna esquerda (chimbal) nesse vídeo não significa q ele faça o mesmo nos shows,pois se observar outros vídeos ele faz uso sim.A meu ver
é um dos q fazem as melhores viradas e uso de pratos.

Yes Nikko messed up the intro, but its probably because hes been palying it different with maiden on tour theses days, just maybe.

I know you people blame the bassist for the messed up intro, but I think it's Nicko that messes up, and i'm not really sure why. The 4 count to bring them in is way late, the two cymbal hit to start the song was there, and Nicko missed it...just my opinion
Massive amounts of clipping, how was this recorded? I used to do lots of live engineering, I miss all those wasted years. Holy clipped and bit, its painful.
Who recorded it, know that the audio sucked, but Nicko is a Rock legend, deserved a better audio for his connoisseurs ...

@RigoStar I often confuse my drummer. But that's because he doesn't know the song, if I would be playing with Nicko it would sound decent.
