- Awesome drum solo that gets rudely interrupted by a loud car...Nicko's reaction is priceless. Recorded at his restaurant Rock N Roll Ribs in Coral Springs, FL on 12-12-2010. Beautiful day, good food, cool people and amazing music!

You wrote something that's so true! I'm happy to be on my 27 yrs old and had the opportunity to see Nicko Playing with Iron Maiden 5 times! He's a very special member of the band! Awesome drummer, and looks like he's a wonderful person too! Hail to Nicko, Maiden and Metal! Cheers from Brazil!
We have to see him and Maiden every time possible, ´cause some day it is over, and then we will cry because we didn´t. I myself have seen them 6 times during my 18 years in life, and I will definitely go see them again soon!
From a drummers stand point, Nicko is one of the best SINGLE BASS drummers of his time.
And seems like a genuinely cool guy to boot!
He does play double too, he even uses it in one of the fills here, just listen carefully.

I love McBrain, look at this gig, where is he? A parking lot? Look how close the folks are. You know that is not his kit. He just loves being a drummer, a man of the people. Probably shook hands with everyone and had a pull out of some guys bottle after the gig. Not too many like Nicko, no sir no too many.

Have never really known them but knew they were good players. As a music lover (and drummer) I love this. A metal (???) guy who is definitely not a one trick pony. And seems like such a swell guy.

Nicko is a great guy and an amazing drummer. His kind-heartedness and his tasty grooves reminds me of the late but very great drummer, Mick Tucker from Sweet. I have met both of these guys in my lifetime and both are the coolest guys you'd ever wanna meet.

This proves two things:
1 - Nicko is an amazing drummer! check his groove in this video, man! It's fucking amazing! This solo is really top-notch too!
2 - Lars Ulrich is a really, really, really, bad drummer! The age argument some people use to justify his crappier and crappier playing is simply blown to dust by this performance by Nicko!
Safados Ateus The only way Ulrich could be a bad drummer is if someone else played the drums on the Master of Puppets album. The drumming on that album is excellent. Some clown said Ulrich was a bad drummer so now everyone does but if fact he is a very good drummer.

If you think Lars was good, you really need to listen to more drummers. Nowadays Lars is bad to the point of being annoying.

You don't like the guy, OK, he is annoying, a shameless cokehead, pissed off the whole music world over Napster, whatever but a " really, really, really, bad drummer" no, not even close. After a decade of hair metal bands, Metallics was a breath of fresh air and a punch in the mouth, Ulrich's drumming was a huge part of that. If anything effected the sophistication of this band music it was the loss of Burton.

Exactly and with Megadeth Chris Poland was a Jazz guitarist so they had this kinda half metal half jazz thing going on that was really cool and unique.
