Started playing with my dad and our friend Tracy when I was like 13. The three of us played a long time together always trying to get our friends from church to play. Tracy has now passed but his legacy lives on. Our group of guys is about ten strong meeting every Monday. We also have a little Tracy Memorial tournament every year now. Disc golf is the absolute best. I cannot wait until my children are little older and I can get them out throwing. Love the videos! I live in Newark so its awesome to my home courses on CZcams haha
I started playing in the early to mid 80's. Some friend started playing and invited me along and the next thing I knew I was hooked. I got away from it for 20+ years (industrial accident and voc-rehab). Twenty-five years later the college I work at elected to install a disc golf course, we started out with 9 holes and have expanded to 18. I got involved with the expansion and in the process have rekindled the love of the game. I started back playing about 7 months ago and have been trying several different discs and have found that Latitude 64 has quickly become one of my favorite brands.
My wife and I started playing last year. As retires those 3 different speed discs are the staple of our game. Thanks for the review.

My cousin got my curiosity in disc golf peaked, but I played for the first time with a group of friends with some borrowed discs (one driver, one mid, one putter) knew nothing and played horribly. I was hooked on the competitiveness, challenge, but also the enjoyment of a sport where you get to walk around with friends talk, laugh, enjoy each others company, and throw discs. I left that day with a new interest and it quickly became a love and a passion. Lots of discs later I enjoy trying different brands, styles, and types of discs and learning how they can fit into my game or improve it. Thanks for the review of a great company and products. Been dabbling in disc golf for 20+ years. Was given a set that was recovered from a course pond and have been enjoying it ever since. It became far more of a passion/obsession in 2018. Was considering competitive play, but lone am rounds or evening rounds with the fellas are all I need.
Totally digging on Ocean Disc and Trash Panda for the obvious reasons.
Cleaning up a course, updating UDisc GPS for courses and simply giving away disc have been my thing lately.
Been playing just under a year and I’m finding the information your channel provides to be extremely useful can’t be more grateful for your time and effort in putting out good info especially for new players to make good sound decisions moving forward
I just told the story earlier today actually.
I was going through a pretty tough time with my teenage daughter and a couple of my buddies took me out to Waffle House and we played disc golf afterwards. It was a really bright moment in a dark time. We started playing every week. That was more than 3 years ago. Things are going great with my daughter now, and I still find peace and joy out on the disc golf course.
Jester’s discs have all been a big hit in my bag for the past year. Particularly those Peace Trains in Shimmer plastic. Huge fan of the corner of the market they’ve carved out, and I also tend to see their models as “previews” of sorts to upcoming Mint models.
My dad showed my brother and I disc golf 20 years ago and we were hooked ever since.
I found disc golf about 2 years ago when a local course got installed. I love the sport because it gets me outside and I love watching frisbees turn through the air
I started playing 5 mos ago. I was gifted a DD starter set 5 years ago but only got them out of the box when persuaded by a friend and I've been addicted since. No brand specific at this point but enjoy trying new brands and molds.

Started playing in the late 80s. (Yep, a long time ago.) And played a lot back then, sometimes 3 rounds of 18 in a day, 450 ft was something that happened regularly. Stopped playing about 10 years ago for some complicated reasons, and am now picking it back up, and for obvious reasons, my throwing speed has dropped. I'm looking for discs that better fit my current power, and these look interesting.
I started playing in August of 2023. Thought it was gonna be a one time thing but immediately bought a dynamic starter set after I finished the round. Play 4-5 times a week now. Wish I had tried it when I was younger. Favorite up and coming brand is wing it. The stratosphere was my go-to fairway driver for a long time and my first ace disc ever.
When I was a kid my dad would take my brothers and I out to our local course (Brent Hambrick) a couple times a year. We used dollar store catch discs and were quite bad at it. I get a sense of Peace thinking about childhood rounds. Around 2019 I moved to Dayton OH which has plenty of nice courses of varying difficulty. I fell in Love with the sport. Shout out to Dayton Disc Golf and Hazy Shade for building such a great community. Needless to say, with courses readily available I played more, got hooked, and can’t see myself having another hobby. At night I Dream of Weaving discs through the trees at Echo Valley. Thanks Six Sided discs for growing the sport!
My son introduced me to disc golf last summer. It's great being able to share an activity that he brought to me. Doomsday Discs is the best disc company that people aren't taking seriously.
I got into disc golf through a friend I met in my first year of university who lived in my dorm. 7 of the 8 guys that lived together including us all got into it thanks to him. We have a 9-hole course on campus and we would go often as study breaks and still do together almost 3 years later. He let us learn through using his discs, but now that I've learned about discing down, I'm not so sure that I should've been throwing an undertaker that early in my disc golf career😅 I've been hooked ever since and now that I can't disc golf for a few months after just having knee surgery, I'm missing it more than ever.
As for up and coming brands, I'm a huge Trash Panda guy and am anticipating the ozone drop eagerly. I also recently took interest to wild discs and the fact that with every disc sale they donate 5% to wildlife conservation. Pretty cool :)
These discs look tailor made for a noob noodle arm like me :) I find that even a bad round of disc golf is still more peaceful than most other leisure activities I could do and the people that play are some of the most welcoming and friendly I have met!
They have a Works Bundle 4-disc set that has their lineup, with a soft and premium putter. And a shirt!
I found disc golf because of the pandemic. It was a way of getting out of the isolation of my home. A way to appreciate nature and it was an amazing way to find peace and joy during such a horrible time.
Some dude in my dorm took us out to a course where someone was selling discs in the parking lot. Bought my first disc that day and played my first round. Had a blast and still playing 20+ years later.
I used to play rec ultimate frisbee in College and when I visited a friend after college he got me disc golfing as you can actually play with only 2 people. I've been loving it ever since. I try to support any brand using recycled plastics. Love me some AGL.
I was drafted to lead a small group and didn’t have a focus or activity in mind so I googled stuff. Disc golf sounded fun so I bought some used discs from PIAS.
Community is what makes it great.
I learned to play disc golf in 2002 from a high school friend. After graduating HS in 04 we went our separate ways and I pretty much stopped playing. A few years later he died in a tragic motorcycle accident. The day after his funeral I picked disc golf back up and have been playing since.
Disc Golf has been great, its been nice meeting some lovely people, as well as the great feeling of improving. Also, Neptune has some great molds, the Nautilus has been a go
to for me for a long time.
My love of disc golf is my escape to nature and friends. I may not play well because I'm new but I sure love being outside and I love watching the discs fly! My favorite up and coming brand is Trash Panda, LOVE what they are doing for sustainability in the sport. Oh, and I discovered disc golf because my brother in law kept pestering me about it until I finally tried it. Probably took a +10 as my best hole but something about it just scratched that itch in my brain!

Played maybe five rounds between 2010 and 2022. Always found it fun but never really got into it until last summer as I was recovering from a nasty rock climbing injury and desperatelly needed an activity that wouldn’t mess up my recovery. Have been going once or twice a week for about a year now with a couple of coworkers and am having a blast. I’m a big Elevation Discs fan and am eagerly waiting for their new 12 speed to turn up in one of the local stores. I also like Doomsday Discs a lot. I learned about both those manufacturers on this channel. Keep them coming! 🎉
I started playing a lot more because there is a course a 10 minute walk from the house I’m renting and I really love it. It fills my athletic and competitive craving I feel I’ve been missing since graduating college. I also love art and collecting things so collecting cool and unique discs and stamps has become a huge hobby of mine!
I was showed this game by a friend so 10 years ago and I recently refound it and I just love improving and getting better
My (adult) kids had been playing for a while, and brought me along to throw a few with them, and I enjoyed it, even if I played badly, so i got a starter set and started playing with my oldest son.

I love how the game can be a barometer of not only my physical well-being (strength, speed, flexibility) but also of mental well-being. I’m looking forward to Full Turn discs fleshing out their lineup to give Prodiscus more of a presence in the US.
I found disc golf through a co-worker who has played for years. I was instantly hooked and it's become a near obsession. I really like the Peace Train, bit it hasn't quite pushed the Fuse or Core out of my bag. I like what Trash Panda is doing for the sport and can't wait to get my Løft Neon and Titanium when they start shipping.
I started in 2020 after the local park added a course . It is now the most popular and highest rated course in the state and I play there about once a week.
Started playing because my wife and youngest child found a course nearby and started throwing Frisbees.
I continue to play because when I'm having a bad day at work, I sneak out and play 9 holes. I always come back feeling better and more focused.
I've been playing off and on since my body couldn't handle ultimate any more. I took a long hiatus into my 40's and got back into big time after I played a few rounds with my son. He headed to college last fall, got hooked up with a local league in NE Ohio, and now that he's home for summer, there hasn't been a 48 hour stretch we haven't got out and thrown. He's also my most dependable BYOP buddy! As for your second question, I recently received a Finish Line Supra in a mystery box, and that slot is admittedly very congested in my bag, the performance of the disc has really piqued my interest in the rest of line up. It already pushed a BuzzzSS out of my bag and it's coming for my 400 M4...THAT will be a heck of battle though... Cheers!
I was introduced in high school in 1998 and played with just my first disc a dx cobra. Also the first disc i ever lost. Played on and off for years until i discovered you tube coverage in 2018 and have been a hardcore disc addict since then! Now i have my kids playing and even get my wife out every now and then!
Discgolf has been my biggest passion for the last 6 years and take every opportunity to play!

Getting to play disc golf is my happy place. I get to be outside throwing things cool discs, what's better than that? I got started at a brewery, they had a course and sold custom stamped Innova discs. I happened to buy a Roc because i liked the color best but turned out to be an okay first disc. Once we played I was hooked!
I started playing as I enjoyed being outside and being with friends. I started to get into competing and stopped having fun as it added pressure. I stopped competing and got back to my roots which resparked my passion.
I found a disc in a park, searched for details and fall in love with the sport.
Disc golf brought my large family together in a fun competitive but relaxed way. everyone cheers for everyone and its great exercise
I really appreciate your content and dedication to sharing details that are helpful in making improvements to my game. I've been playing for a little over two years (62 y/o, RHBH) and enjoy the challenge of competing with myself while at the same time getting out in nature and soaking up some sun. I have also met lots of people who play the game and we inevitably will play a few rounds together and share advice....most of the time from what we have heard on Six-Sided Discs. I think you guys are doing a great job and kudos to the team that make it happen. Any review videos coming out on the new Zero Gravity line from Lat 64?

Been disc golfing ever since childhood. Really got into at about 16 and been going every single day I don’t have school pretty much. I was going to buy a piece when I lost my floppy midrange a while back. Instead I went with my favorite brand TSA. Been in love with them ever since I started throwing them. Good company that is growing more and more
I've only been playing a year and I'm obsessed. My wife wonders where I'm getting all my discs lol. I found Viking Discs at the start and I love them. I think looking at upincomers is a good way to grow the sport and bring diversity to a lineup
Re: Lobster. Lobster is a slightly more understable Mana. So if you're looking for that, try the Mana. It'll beat in to be like a new Lobster after a month of throwing it.
I would definitely rate the Mana as 56-21 even though it's stamped 55-21. Surprising distance for a 5s. I'm surprised these guys give it a 4 glide. Maybe it's just that they're bringing the numbers back down to Earth.
A friend in 2010 had a couple discs and asked if I wanted to "frolf", and I was hooked ever since. I miss my original group of friends who played, but still enjoy playing and watching content.
My brother introduced me to it last summer. I found that there was a course near my house and dove in head first. I play several times a week and it is a great stress reliever from work.
My niece introduced DG to me in Waco...got hooked. Stumbled onto the Doomsday collection, and haven't looked back.

The new prototype from Jester is a game changer.
My sons Boy Scout troop. We used regular Frisbees to play. It wasn't until someone at the course showed me a real disc golf disc that I was like wow, they actually have Frisbees specific to this. Lol
Found disc golf when looking for something to destress from work towards the end of Covid. Have since spread it to my wife, kids, dad, and brother. Love that it’s something we can get out in God’s creation and play together! Favorite smaller company so far is probably trash panda since I have both an inner core and a dune in the bag, looking forward to the ozone when it drops!

My boyfriend and I got into discing last year and it has been a great ride with lots of good times throwing plastic in the woods! I wouldn't trade those times for anything.
