It's the worst when you fall asleep your first night in jail, (if u can) then get woke up next morning still thinking your at home, until you fully wake up & come to the realization that you're STILL in jail. Gah that's the worst feeling in the world.

Theirs only 3 things you can’t lie to a cop about, and that is 1- you identifying information 2-when your under oath and 3-when filing a report or reporting a crime. Aside from those 3, you can lie to a cop all damn day! But it’s better to lawyer up and don’t tell them anything! Just keep saying lawyer until you get one!

I wish I could describe to the people that have never been locked up how long time stretches out from the time you get arrested to the time you go to the precinct till the time you go to court to the time you get to jail till the time you actually get medical bed and finally a rack. It feels like forever. 5 days never felt so long.

It came back and my rap sheet was 3 pages long... dating back to 1970--the year my mother was born lol. I was born in the 90s... so how the hell did they think that was my record??? It took weeks to fix before I could start working. I got to read the charges and they were pretty bad. It makes me worry about the system and that some guy got my clean sheet instead when they were violent and hurt minors

I asked the cop "what if I just decide to leave the hospital?" He told me, "then I'm gonna have to cuff you again and you're gonna end up cuffed to the bed." That was unpleasant enough for me

I guess we lucked out either they didn't record us going into detail about our bullshit or they didn't care about it given the circumstances. The senior cop did seem to be on our side throughout the whole thing, basically we beat up someone who I bet the cop wished he could give a good shoeing to.

Longest time I spent in the local jail was 42 days. I don't drink or do drugs, never have. But the time I spent in jail 42 days, in 2015, has stayed with me. I've been convicted of 6 misdemeanors, no felonies. I'm still traumatized by those 42 days in jail. I can't even watch this video. It affected me that much. I'm 55 now.

In the UK is slightly different in fact a lot different from the USA. If arrested in the UK your taken to the most local police station to your arrest, Where you are interviewed and charged if they can prove it and stick a charge on you its up to the bar officer in the police station whether you get bail for the police station or held overnight or weekend if its a Friday sat then taken to court again form court you can get bail from the judge if remanded you are taken to prison and held there till your trial unless you can force bail through the courts normal in the UK there is no cost attached to bail and if you run its the cops then have to find you. Depending on how small or big your crime is there are three levels of court in the UK County court very small stuff like tv license etc Sherriff court for common assaults sex offender any other major stuff then the high court for serious sex offenders and murders big drug stuff etc.

Booking was terrible because it felt like you're already locked up but yet you have your street clothes on so it's not QUITE there, yet. When I was in booking (The Tombs), there was a dude who was a heroin relapse and kept throwing up in the toilet every other minute. There was maybe...10 people in the holding cell at that time. But the cells...booking, jail, doesn't matter. The smells of a cell is fucking horrible for a while.
