    You did a great job on your oil change. Trying to show my wife and my daughters how to at least check the oil. You keep on doing a great job it is good that you want to know your car inside and out.

    Get an oil filter wrench that you use with a ratchet and extension, it fits on the bottom of the filter. Those filters are tucked up along the oil pan and hard to access with a pliers. Good vids and yes there is always learning to do, no matter how much experience you have!

    I highly recommend using nitrile gloves. They help keep your hands clean and when you get done clean up is alot easier! Good job!

    Great vid. There's a fumoto drain valve out there that are now replacing the traditional oil bolt. One less bolt to break loose now. Also drive up ramps instead of jacks. Jacks are scary to me.

    Gear wrench makes a handy oil filter strap wrench. If it is tucked up where you can't get traditional filter tools on.

    I actually recently got a job working at a Cavender Dealership and I do oil changes every day, I’ve always had a passion for cars but never had any real knowledge on how to work on them and this job is changing my life and you inspired me to start saving up for my own Camaro one day. Plus I was always scared of getting my hands dirty with the grease and oil and such but seeing you not afraid to get dirty, I love it! Thanks for your videos and keep working on cars! ❤️😁

    15 mm is the common for all GM cars and a socket oil wrench that you can connect to an extension will work better for a tight space keep up the good work Happy New year enjoy watching you like always

    Glad to see you get just as aggravated as I do when shit is over tightened... I always keep a roll of paper towels next to me on the floor. I Oil changes are always somewhat messy.

    Nice job. One tip with the oil filter, pierce the top of the filter with a screwdriver to drain the remaining oil. On VAG cars etc, we have plastic filter housings. Inside is the paper filter which you replace. The filter housing has a cap you unscrew to reveal a bleed nipple. Once pushed in, it's the same method as you would be doing by piercing the metal oil filter. 👍

    Couple tips.. start to warm oil, doesn’t have to be super hot but helps while draining..
    With how small your filter is you don’t have to fill it, but still need to run oil on gasket

    When u do ur oil change try to have the car level or leaning towards the drain port a little to make sure you drain as much oil out as possible

    I sometimes take a punch or Stout screwdriver and punch a hole in the filter so it can drain a lil more, keeps the oil from getting all over you and down your​ arm

    "Stahlbus drain plugs" are good for easy oil draining and no mess.They run like $45.99 but worth it.

    Good work Raquel. Couple things to make life easier: those plastic/rubber drip up ramps. (still use jack stands as backup though) Man they're nice for oil changes. Also, Home depot (in the carpet section) sells: 4x3 foot pieces of carpet. Sure easier on my old body. I get the shaggiest one, I can find. No fun laying on the floor. :)

    Get the cup oil filter wrench that goes over the oil filter and use the ratchet to loosen it instead of that one size fits all one that you are using.

    I see the jack stands now. Your car takes 6 qts of oil. Pour them all in at once. It will fill the filter real quick. No need to fill the filter. I've never er done it and haven't hurt a motor yet. Always take rags with you. Lol. Great job! I'm impressed.

    Great Video! Always a learning process/Curve! Remember when I did an oil change on my 6 banger mustang, Was very intimidated ! Progressed to changing the head gasket> Valve springs on an 03" Z06> to replacing a transmission on an RR L322 SC! Take it one step at a time, do your research & Always be learning. Keep the vids coming

    Not every vehicle can have thier filter filled prior to installing it some have a side filter and would spill if you filled it b4 but you are correct to oil the seal so it doesn't seize to the motor

    FYI. Its not recommended to pre fill the filter anymore. If dirt goes in with that fill it goes straight to the bearings. We are talking about microns here. What you can't see. The oil you put in the filter for pre filling technically isn't filtered yet. I used to do that too but it has been proven otherwise that it can be way worse than a dry filter with a split second of no oil pressure.

    Hey just a tip get you a set of oil filter wrench cups will make your life way easier. Just use the one that fits your filter and grab a ratchet and you can pop it off no problems

    Doesn't oil pool up in the back of the pan when the front end is up in the air? Shouldn't the car be level for an oil change so you can get more of the old oil out?

    This is why I pay for oil change at dealership on my 19 Mustang GT, I’m not jacking it up on jack stands and crawling on the shop floor every other month. I did this one time to install my Borla Atak catback and it felt shady. I used two stands on each side and still put concrete blocks on both sides by the stands.
    Good job on the video, very informative for people wanting to do it there self. Most 4x4 trucks you don’t have to lift to change the oil.

    Pouring oil from a container with the spout as the highest point lets air into the container and prevents the glug, glug, glug and allows you pour quicker. Noticed you might not know that when you filled the filter and pouring into the valve cover fill port.

    I dont trust being under car so i use the plastic heavy duty ramps then use the the jack and put most of the weight between jack and ramp
