This took awhile but these are my thoughts on the trailer for Roze's second film.
It will be coming out on June 7th so let's see if any of my predictions were correct.
Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and time stamps in the description.
I completely agree with your points about why another Damocles is problematic. The only thing I want to add is about Schneizel. He might not even be a threat, depending on how one looks at his character. Personally, I think Schneizel was truthful about wanting world peace, he simply used the easiest/most logical way he saw to it. So, I don't think that even if the Geass on Schneizel would be removed, that he would actively try to destroy the peace that already exists. Especially if he isn't the one directly in control of the Damocles. Because how could he guarantee that whoever controls it acts in his favour and not get drunk on it's power?
But aside from the Schneizel point, I completely agree!
Maybe mask dude GEASS is like power of herssher of truth from HONKAI impact 3rd lol
Thankfully it's just a alternate universe events.
I thought this took place in the same continuity as the compilation trilogy and Resurrection?
@@Gernsbackerit does, but all of that IS seperate from the original series
it's the main universe now, anything Code Geass related will be in this universe now. So there's two universes one with Lelouch of the Rebellion and another one with Lelouch of the Resurrection but both are cannon to their own timelines
I like to imagine Lelouch when planing the Zero requiem put to much trust to his successor, the BK, and the UFN that it perhaps he agrogantly believe that the institution he created as Zero would stand the test of time with sheer optimism and idealistic fervour for a brigter future that it blinded him of the looming shadows of their incompetence 😂
Nah, it's just bad writing. Sadly, so far, Lelouch put Schniezel, who is on par with his mind/IQ, and is pretty much the brain, Suzaku/ Zero as the muscle and peacekeeper and the Chinese Federation and multiple nations as allies. With all this in mind it's pretty clear that this is sadly badly written.
@@Majima669 so? Even if it's badly written as long as it's ending is good it'll be worth it. I mean just look at R2...
@@leogazebo5290 Don't get me wrong I like the new episode so far but like this video there is so much unexplained and I'm hoping it will be explained as the show goes on. But dude just cause the ending was amazing doesn't mean R2 is amazing also. The writing for the new show has to be good and it's only redeeming quality can't be it ending is good
@@Majima669 Don't worry bro I understand were your coming from. I just want to have faith in the franchise, I do agree it's not perfect but I still want to give it at least till the final episode. If I enjoyed it overall even if it's mid I say the series succeeds. As long as the franchise continue I'm happy.
Slap in the face of the requiem, yes, but I could see based on humanity that this is very possible and realistic. I agree on the time frame seemingly much shorter than it should, but does make sense.
Mocking the moment is one thing but the time frame is another.
Or rather a slap in a face of the original anime. Not just Zero requiem and a faces of us, fans of original Code Geass, and not this abomination
Ah yes...
It is like asking how the Titans manage to create a Colony Laser like how Zeon did it...
Honestly Code Geass can go either UC or Seed at this point
No. Never go full SEED. Look how SEED Destiny went.
Plus, no one wants to see another UC... the point of the UC was always a continuous conflict, and showing how horrible war is.
Code Geass can't have such an optimistic ending like it did, and expect people to just accept that their MC failed.
The UC continued long after Amuro and Char both died in Char's Counterattack, and many more wars spread out because of this.
When Code Geass and Gundam Seed are going toe to toe this year
I need to watch Gundam Seed to understand this comparison
@@MyMediaChops | If you must watch SEED, only watch the first series. Destiny and Freedom are kinda... bullcrap.
@@MyMediaChops Gundam Seed is basically _The Force Awakens_ of Gundam - a big budget remake of the first one. It was quite a success but when it came for a sequel, all Destiny did was remake plotlines and story bits from other Gundam series instead of doing it's own thing.
Well which series would you say has the highest chance of making it at the top of the anime list this year? Code Geass or Gundam Seed?
@@MyMediaChops Pretty much first series (Seed/CG) solved a problem and the second series (Seed Destiny/CG Roze) had said problem return just for the sake of a sequel story. Insert First Order from SW.
17:05 - Love the Robot Chicken Palpatine reference!
making all of the new anime post og series as spin-off / alternate universe is probably smartest thing to do
and i dont have problem with all the changes they do because the original zero requiem ending is untouched
Maybe it's possible that a prototype for the Damocles was constructed explaining it's limited functionality and they simply fielded it to bolster their strength? Could explain the discrepancies about the Damocles existing here.
This could be the explantion, perhaps they made two Damocles one was the prototype as you said and the other was the one Schneizel used.
Perhaps Schneizel was talking to Darlton about the protoype in Stage 21.
If you're making a nuke firing platform, it makes sense to have a prototype for field testing.
I believe this would all come down into one simple thing: GEASS
We all know that Code Geass is no stranger to supernatural powers that could turn the tides of war and how they even entertained the idea of reality manipulation, even if only a little
So here's my idea; what if there's someone with a Geass powerful enough to disrupt and manipulate the reality as we know it?
What if there's something or someone that could rebuild the Damocles with Geass powers or heck, even replicate them en masse like the Star Forge from Star Wars?
What if this Geass user had also somewhat disabled the UNF's early-warning system, perhaps by banishing LL and CC into somewhere else, as well as partially disabling their forces, so that the UNF couldn't arrange an adequeate countermeasure in time?
What if this is a similar case as the Zilkhstan incident, but in an unimaginably larger scale due to some kinda reality-altering Geass or smth?
Heck, maybe with this reality-altering Geass theory, it would also go in line with the "Roze is the reverse of Zero" theory where the events of original Code Geass are really being arranged backwards, here
Regardless, I hope the revelation would still be adequate enough and that it wouldn't render Zero Requiem a waste, at all
that explantion is so over the top and confusing but given what happened in Akito I can see them using it.
@@MyMediaChops Now that you say it, I gotta agree with you here lol 😂
See, it's just like what you said: the Damocles is such a megastructure so big that it needs an unimaginable amount of resources and time to build it properly
Its construction is also smth that LL and CC could've caught wind of and prepared for with the Black Knight forces just by hitting their call number
UNLESS, smth must've happened to LL or CC during that 1-year gap that disrupted the BK's early warning system, and since those lovebirds are basically immortal, the only way to do it is by somehow banishing them into somewhere like C's world, a Thought Elevator or smth else
Not to mention, the Neo Britannian forces only have a single year of prep time to set up their Hokkaido block and that the Black Knights seemed to have been so preoccupied that could only rely on a small renegade group to solve it
My guess is that the Hokkaido Damocles is just one of the many around the entire world, and that's the reason why the Black Knight forces did so bc they were spread so thin, only to be made worse with both LL and CC's absence
Hence why I believe that something, or someone with a reality-altering Geass power could pull this off and speed up its process, only that during Roze, they must've had exhausted their power so that they need to lay low
I also think that this scenario must've also been Charles' failsafe protocol just to mess around with everyone at the time of his death lol 😂
And well, here's hoping that upcoming Resurrection-Roze time gap manga release would shed some light about this
Anime series have a habit or repeating story bits from earlier parts. I can't begin to name every Gundam show where the big bad's master plan is dropping a giant object on the planet. But it's a necessary to add a few new beats to the tale.
I finally bought the Akito OVAs and there are a lot of ideas that could easily serve as a plot (the skull that grants Geass, people who are tasked by the Caretaker, and Apollo's Chariot). Heck, the original anime had dropped plotlines like the origin of Geass, special bloodlines, ancient technology like the Thought Elevator and the teleporter. Anyone of those would serve as a great plotline for a new series.
That was a good cut of rivals on I have no idea. Cheers. Lol.
I use that one all the time it's just perfect.
What if the new Damocles is made from the spare parts or leftover parts on the old Damocles
This explains where they get the materials for building the new Damocles
Well it would have to be from the factory in the Toromo Agency since they flew the original in the sun.
Risky indeed. I never would have guessed I would see the Damocles and FLEIJA weapons again, especially when they being used by the likes of Neo-Britannia who are in a completely different league compared to the original empire of Britannia to say the least.
i think "GEASS" abilties will try to answer such irregularities such as "time, space, and reality" abilities.
Im thinking the damocles is just a bluff they just did for the sake of fear and nia is on zero(suzaku) side with Lloyd so its just a bluff
Man, it's like building a nuke in your backyard 😆.
tbf people have done that.
Oh dear better not go down the path of “Gundam Seed Freedom”.
Gundam Seed Freedom at least fixed what was wrong with Destiny
Cope and seethe
@@Allelujah19Fixed like 2 issues from Seed Destiny and introduced a fuck ton of new ones
@@jetix7888 did you watch the movie at all? They fixed everything people had problems with. Cagalli, Shinn, the destiny plan, Kira and lacus relationship, Cagalli and Athrun relationship.
@@Allelujah19 | Yeah, they fixed these issues 19 years too late to help these characters.
1st episode Roze of the Recapture: "The UFN invaded the United States of Japan and established the Neo-Britannian Empire and renamed it again Area 11!"
OH COMEON, that's literally just repeating the same plot. So it's not just the Damocles.
I have addressed it this in other videos but you aren't wrong
Recently I’ve been asking myself a question relating to Code Geass, since you know more about it than I currently remember I’d like to ask you that question if you don’t mind.
Go for it ask your question
@@MyMediaChops does the story of code geass operate under predetermination? I think it probably doesn’t but I’d like to hear your take.
@@aidanholland4246 I don't think so but it does depend on how you interpret the ragnarock connection and the actions of the Geass Order. There are theories that Roze of the Recapture might introduce this idea we will have to see.
@@MyMediaChops Bismarck was genuinely surprised at what Suzaku did to finish him off so that might suggest that the future his geass enabled him to see wasn’t guaranteed but rather the most probable outcome, but he saw a new probability when Lelouch reactivated suzaku’s survival mode that he gave him with his geass. They also say that the collective of C’s world contains the consciousness & will of all mankind dead & presently living & commands the flow of time, but does that necessarily mean controlling people or simply enabling progress & change to come as a result of people’s actions & choices? When lelouch took the Damocles key from Nunnally he said that because she was walking (metaphorically) on her own he was now free to walk the path he had to take to his destiny, but If everything was decided then could Nunnally acting on her own really have hindered Lelouch’s “destiny?” The big magical thing of their world is Geass, Nunnally broke free of the effects of Charles’ Geass with her own willpower which suggests the greater conscience’s mystical hold on humanity isn’t absolute because if fate is a real thing for them it’d probably be tied to things like C’s world & Geass & Nunnally broke free from that. It’s like with Euphemia resisting Lelouch’s Geass rather than immediately succumbing to it. The greater consciousness is either the source of Geass or connected to it, so if it has a will & its hold on humanity is absolute then how could either of the girls even so much as put up a fight against such a power let alone actually succeed in breaking free from it’s grasp entirely on their own? One might suggest that maybe god would be the controlling force, but when Lelouch’s Geass reached its peak he ordered god itself not to let Charles kill it. He bent the will of humanity itself to his own individual will. On that note, Charles & V.V.’s plan was to kill god which like I said could be argued as the greatness of creation, but how & why would it ordain it’s own destruction or at least an attempt at it? So yeah I don’t believe CG operated under predetermination. If you’ve read this then… what have you to say now that you have?
I wanna watch these vids but the spoilers 😫
Disney+ that explains it
Fuck
Don't worry give it enough time they'll make a manga or Novel that will never get a western released explaining everything lol.
I do hope their explanation to the Fleija falling into Neo-Britannia hands is connected to the missing Fleija in Oz O2. It builds upon the already expand lore and nice call back to those that read the manga.
Which chapter discussed the missing FLEIJA? Also there's supposed to be a prequle series after Roze that might explain stuff.
But other than that you are right about what they will do here.
@@MyMediaChops In the final chapters of Oz O2, when the allied forces of Oldrin and Nonnette attack Marrybel and the Democles. There they boarded the flying fortress, only for Miss X and others to find out that the Fleijas is missing, it's never explained what Marrybel did to the Fleija warheads as it's the final chapters but safe to assume that she and Lelouch either dispose of them or they store them somewhere safe.
@@leogazebo5290 If it turns out that Neo Britannia has those that would a be cool way to connect the stories. But it sounds like Lelouch disposed of them before hand.
I always assumed that the Damocles that flew into the sun had the FELIJAS on board.
Thanks for the interesting information as always.
@@MyMediaChops Just happy to share tidbits that I know, have a nice day.
Why do u pronounce it as Roza?
Because that's how they pronounce it in the Japanese dub and its spelled Roze.
@@MyMediaChops so it should be row-zei, not row-za. Unless you pronounce zero as zaro.
@@rexia9611 noted
Why do they keep making these? The show ended perfectly.
Also, I just discovered your channel. So far, I really appreciate your in-depth analysis of the show. You made things clear that even I missed, and Code Geass is my favorite anime. Good work. Peace ✌🏻
what the hell do you mean by "thousands of sacrifices" ?! just the first time suzuka used it when it was equiped to his KMF, it caused millins of victims you know? also, according to you, how large was the population in pandragon who got annahilated? you see? you should be saying how many "millions of sacrifices" not thousands
I was referring to the soldiers themselves that died during the battle against Schneizel. But you are right Suzaku and Schniezel killed millions before that.
They are taking the Gundam Seed route pretty much.
I love Gundam Seed anime with all of the story, mecha, and human drama between characters Kira, Flay, Cagalli, Athrun, Mu, and Murrue. Even the recent Gundam Seed movie was a masterpiece, but I am true Seedotaku fan, so your opinions might be little different then mine.
Ps. Still Gundam 00 might be my favorite series from this franchise.
This is honestly nothing like Gundam Seed. Two vastly different shows with completely different themes and plots.
@@Gernsbacker did I say they are the same? I said they are taking the same route with the big bad weapon.
@@Allelujah19It's what you imply by saying "taking the Gundam Seed Route". Large weapons of mass destruction have been a staple in Sci-Fi for decades before Seed was even a thing.
@@Gernsbacker and? Your not getting it. You can call this the time travel syndrome. Where you use time travel to try to get out of lazy writing. If Code Geass is using their big bad weapon again then its lazy writing. Star Wars has done it, but we are talking about anime so I'm using Seed. They used the Genesis in all of Seed. Reason people didn't care is because the Characters are amazing. Destiny came and was pretty much the same hash story and most of the people hated it but Japan. The movie fixed their mistakes. So far this new Code Geass is just Code Geass Destiny. Same story with different characters with minor differences. So many plot holes, if movie two doesn't fix this it will be another fail under the Code Geass name. Akito...failed....ReCoded....failed. only time people were hyped about Akito was when they saw Lelouch. Fans want the other Manga to be in anime form or see L2 and C2 going after Geass users. Yet we get this.
Well if I wrote it i wouldn't use this plotline. C.C and L.L story sounds more fascinating especially if set in the future. I haven't seen any returning character and it doesn't help setup the new characters since its so short. It also doesn't have any well thought out plot points but it could be remedied in the story down the line and may even have a massive plot twist to subvert expectations who knows but it is best to go into it expecting it to be at least decent or even lower expectations. If it is really bad we can always ignore it, i tried to do the same with AOT's ending, but i hope this doesn't retroactively ruin the series that badly.
So glad I didn't watch the movie years ago and stopped following the code geass. I can sleep at night knowing season 2 was the end
nah movie is good.
the movie was good, but for me is kinda ova vibes than a movie...
you are missing out
@@eckoa.9339 I liked the Akihito OVA. The battles were about skill and not about who had the best Gundam.
TBH it almost sounds like a soft reboot/remake the way they are using familiar elements in the story. If that's the case, while I'd expect that out of Hollywood it's disappointing to see such lazy writing here.
code geas movies is doing hte same as eva movies did - making the original irrelevant.
Sorry , i stick to original .
also , Disney + ?
