I sold a so called buddy a car several years ago. Cut him a HELLLLLL of a deal. All i asked was for my dead stepfathers wheels back. Never seen him again. If i ever seen him again id probably beat him till I couldn’t lift my arms.

@@jamieashman1446 I agree this whole you have to usually make a decision before you put your card in, however they dont actually tell you that on the pump which is fn stupid.
when they updated the ones near me, i put my card in and then id try to go thru the process n itd lock ur card for like 2 minutes because it couldnt process what i did (which was inserted the card first) i was seriously like punching the machine thinking it stole my card lol.
when i went inside the girl was pretty nice about it, despite my intense fear of not getting my card back and she said pick what you wanna do first then put ur card in, n it worked flawlessly, been nice if it didn't accept ur card and said choose debit or credit first to simplify it, god forbid.

So a little bit of google fingers and I found that the glass is called a Sky Roof on the 67 Sport Wagon.
I'd love to see a custom build on that wagon, it has SO MUCH potential.

My friend got a 68 in high school and we put old red teardrop lights in the front skylight windows. Painted the hood and grill to look like a dragon it was the Coolest wagon around. So many possibilities with that wagon and don't forget! Easy to work on😜 We used to set on the fender wells to do tune-ups but it seemed possible with all our 60's & 70's car's and truck's. Now I can't hardly fix anything because of all the computer crap.
Gowing up my parents had two of this style wagon, first was a light yellow’65 Buick Sport Wagon followed by a ‘73 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in a copper color with wood grain panels.
Vans are super cool, so are station wagons! Done right and cleanly make for a super cool build and finished vehicle
You need to build it, then drive it to the guy and hand deliver the lug nuts!🤣
Back in the 70’s my dad had an Oldsmobile vista that we took a family vacation to Canada in. Great memories

Richard, I worked for a guy with an independent shop in Duncanville in the 80's who was an Oldsmobile specialist back in the day & this guy had 66 Toronados, 64-66 Olds 98's, REAL VISTA CRUISERS (Olds) & his partner had a PERFECT Vista Cruiser, it was green with a tan interior, I used to drive it! Those were great cars, it's rumored that John Wayne (the Duke) had one so he could wear his 10 gallon hat without hitting the headliner! I live in the San Antonio area, am working on a project in Laredo, dude there's all kinds of badass cars in both areas

Hey Richard, cool wagon.👍🏽 Our Dad bought one in the 70s, Olds. Vista Cruiser I would be so excited to be drop of at school in that car, it had 60s all the way around on craigers!! And tinted windows too!! It was awesome.👍🏽 like to see what you do with it.✌🏽🤘🏽🇨🇱.
We had a '64 Vista Cruiser Wagon, Hwy 66 to Mo several times. A great day!
I remember my parents buying one of these brand new, white paint with the woodgrain. There was 4 kids and we would pile in and go to the drive-in on the weekends.
Thats a sweet project for the show, put a big engine in it, air ride and the gasmonkey magic you cant go wrong

Been and Oldsmobile fan half my life. Owned a nice 72 Skylark for awhile. I'd sport that. The green may become satin black but would definitely have AC added. Best camping unit for one you could ask for. 😆

Listed on the GMG as a 1967 Sportwagon, but this is the upgraded Sportwagon Custom model. (VIN 4 44 65, where 465 = 9P Sportwagon Custom) They came with two seats (6 persons) and with three seats (8 persons). This is a three seats wagon, one of only 4,559 built for that year.

I could be wrong but that grill reminds me of a Canadian Buick....Check the doors and the trim panel when you open the doors and see if it has a maple or oak leaf on the body
My Higschool Girlfriends Mom had a real Olds Vista Cruiser w/ 455 Rocket motor. This car was cherry in 1988. We would take it down back roads in Va. It only had a limited slip diff. It would spin the tire for days if you slung it around a corner. awesome tire smoker with plenty of room for the cheerleaders.
The one good thing that RR did was employ Phipps. Brings back memories from the first season of FNL

I bought (still have) a 64 Buick Special wagon (no skylights) that I paid $300 for... lots more then that in it now, but it was a good starting point.
The trick to the driver door not opening, sit in the drivers seat, pull up on the lock nob while you shimmy the inside door handle, 7 times out of 10 it works 100% of the time. I have to do that with my surviver custom 72 Chevelle.

During the station wagon craze my dad bought a 78 Ford Ltd wagon with the 460 4V and towing package. I think it was banned from demolition derbies as it had I beams behind the real 'merica bumpers. The girl next door's parents had the Vista Cruiser. If I remember correctly the rear seats were raised higher than the front for Vista Cruising.
Edited as it was bought in 79 but was a 78 model.

The 460 was not available in the 1979 model. I am going to guess it was a 1978 which was the older larger body style.
We had one sitting in our yard in East Texas, had a guy come to the door wanting it for demolition derby. He was stoked. 😂

Drop a big block 454 in there and make it look stock . Total Sleeper Wagon . Had mom's Vista Cruiser up to 110mph back when the speed limit was 55mph . Glad I didn't pulled over .
The Vista Cruiser top alone is worth $2k - nice buy. Whish I had one.

I filled up in Pa. yesterday and the pump has a video screen that shows ads while you pump gas. They should give a discount if you got to put up with that.
I think this wagon was for sale at the Pate Swap Meet earlier this year. If so, Richard must have missed it cause he was there too. I have the flat top version of this. 66 Special Wagon LS swapped

The Vista Cruiser roof is for needed headroom for the third row seats. Flat roof versions don't have third row seats.

This Buick station wagons with that roof was from 1964 to I think 72 and they were called the grand sport or sport wagon from Buick called the Buick or grand sport station wagon and Oldsmobile called there’s the Oldsmobile vista cruisers also from 1964 to 72 as well
Those were real tough cars ran several in demoderbys.

You’d think most folks would get that stuff together prior to putting the car up for sale! That’s almost as bad as posting it, having someone call about it, set up the showing and when they get there and ask to see the car and you tell them to give you a few min or 60 and you’ll go find it 😬

Great project wagons are real popular in the mid Atlantic my brother has a 67 buick sport 400 wagon which is the upgrade from yours he did a 6.0ls with a trubo conversion everyone thinks it's the coolest thing at the car shows
Richard needs to build this one to be similar to your brothers!! He would have a killer street beast then and talk about making money then!! The beast would make him buckets or kegs full of money but if he Sells it as is then he’s gonna make $1k instead of $20-$30k if he builds it!!
The seller seems like a real stand up dude trying to keep his word for the lug nuts. Many people today would say that but then just blow you off.
So true.. I still believe that a handshake is as good as a contract!. That's because I am a man of my word and if I shake your hand you can believe I will make it happen and I miss that about the world/people today.
