- Back in December, Paramount and Warner Brothers Discovery were discussing a potential merger. Paramount has since agreed to merge with Skydance Media. What does this all mean for the future of Warner Bros. Discovery? Plus, comments from David Zaslav on the future of the company.
There’s this potential of Warner Bros. being sold to Universal sometime in the future. Which is a serious concern because Universal might never accept Cartoon Network because they never had their equivalent to them or Nickelodeon, and they might not do anything with the all time animation network.
Yeah. No more mergers
I hope Paramount will be in better hands.
It’s gonna be fine
I once said before that hopefully Warner bros discovery will be sold to either Sony or Universal pictures because I think they would be perfect to get them out of being bankrupt. David zaslav is about bloody money due to the fact they are trying to not make smart business if it’s just gonna be something to help grow their stock value problem.
Couple of problems I had to point out
Comcast the parent company of Universal Pictures is in $90 billion in dept so I can’t see them buying WB happening anytime soon.
Sony is a Japanese company and they can’t own some Television networks because they will in feral trouble. Heck, there were reports that if Sony acquired Paramount, they will sold off their divisions and their studio lot
@@Richard-3874 I mean you’re not wrong because no matter who wbd sold to, it’s still not gonna be any good for their profits and their debt being in life support
The people at Warner Bros. Discovery are so dumb, especially Zaslav. He's really dumb, for real.
@@jayjaybulldog9180 No offense, but that would be a bad idea.
4:49 Just to point this out
Sony is a Japanese company and they can’t own some Television networks because they will in feral trouble. Heck, there were reports that if Sony acquired Paramount, they will sold off their divisions and their studio lot.
That would suck if this happened to Warner Bros
At least skydance isnt another major studio. Im tired of these mergers.
Better with Skydance than with freaking Zaslav. A Paramount-WBD merger was the worst possible scenario.
Honestly if Sony merges with anyone we could get a lot more of thier video games into tv series.
There could be a chance that Warner Bros. Discovery could combine with Paramount/Skydance and Amazon MGM Studios (if spun off from Amazon, due to the anti-Amazon FTC lawsuit) before being sold to NBCUniversal.
I think Universal and Warner Brothers would be great Partners.
It makes sense because even before the discovery merger WB and universal collaborated multiple times: Twister (and the upcoming sequel), Ready Player One, ect.
I hope Warner Bros Discovery's future is in good hands
I hope in the near future Warner Bros Discovery separates, I hope Discovery sells Warner Bros to either Disney or Universal.
Disney not
Disney not
Are you stupid?
I don't want warner brothers discovery to spit apart in my opinion
EXCELLENT WORK. D.C.NETWORK WARNER BROTHERS
Really want Ben 10
Honestly, I think Paramount really dodged a bullet with that Warner merger, and Skydance seems like a much better company to make Paramount their own studio without separating any of their IPs.
I totally forgot about that.
I did not really think the merger would have benefited anyway. The CEO of Paramount literally retired last month as well, so there is no possible chance this may happen. I knew there was going to be a company that was going to buy Paramount eventually and sky dance takes the cake. I do not know much about sky dance either but let's see if this merger is promising and Paramount will finally get back on track. While their cable channels may suck still, advertising, marketing and creativity has become better over the past few months. Like the new loud house moving being advertised when you're watching knuckles on Paramount+. I think Warner Bros. Discovery has the chance to get out of their debt on their own tbh. Mergers have pretty much just made the company go downhill so I think they have the ability to get out of this situation on their own like with improving their cable channel schedules and stuff.
Um you don't think that Cartoon network will get shutdown do you?
Nickelodeon will be fine it won’t shut down
If Sony buys Warner Bros., They'll put Crunchyroll as a Max Tab.
I'm hoping for the 6th Ben 10 series soon. But for now, it's a good thing I still have Ben 10 Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, and all you can of Omniverse on DVD. But I'm also getting tired of waiting for the 6th Ben 10 series taking so long. But I'm not the only one who is.
rest in peace Paramount studio anytime soon
Doesn't CBS Viacom (Paramount Pictures) already own Skydance Media? (the same company that produced the Mission Impossible movies last time I checked)
They are owned by David ellison, son of Larry Ellison
Paramount doesn't own Skydance. I believe you're thinking that because most of Skydance's projects were made with Paramount/Paramount as the distributor
Hopefully Universal will purchase Warner Brothers.
But the parent company of Universal Pictures is in $90 billion in dept so I can’t see this happening anytime
That's not gonna happen
Oh boy
Hopefully Fox Crop or Sony will acquired WBD. Remember, though. Sony is a Japanese company and can't own TV networks. They only want the studio, the studio lot, and nothing else. Japanese company Sony doesn't want to get into streaming.
Hey Dc network I hope for the best for warnerbros discovery in the future and whatever merger they do and can you make a video covering everything Michael Ouweleen has done since he became president of Cartoon Network 2 years ago
What about Looney Tunes?
I don't want warner brothers discovery to spit dc network do you think warner brothers discovery will keep discovery?
discovery sucks
@@mightymouse5322i like discovery I respect your opinion
If Sony buys Warner Bros. Away from Zaslav, They'll Absored Toonami to the Crunchyroll Name.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing
@@SilverScribe85Bad thing
@@ytpmkr5844 How so?
@@SilverScribe85 Like the Disney-Fox merger, WB may become a label of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Also, they are a Japanese company, so they can't afford to own the TV networks. That's why a Sony-Warner merger won't be a good idea
@@ytpmkr5844 Firstly, if that were to happen; what would that mean for Cartoon Network in general?
Secondly, given that Zaslav's most recent merger attempt with Paramount failed; I don't think we have much to worry about
Bunch of zombie companies trying to find a greater fool to bail them out from 8% interest rates. What's the point of having a monopoly over dead franchises? Hunker down till brandon leaves.
Ben 10 update please atlest reply my comment
Unfortunately there's nothing to report on
I agree with D.C. Network
When is Zaslav going to realize his merger ideas are doing NO ONE any good?!
He's destroyed Warner in the worst of ways and utterly mutilated the animation industry
long story short, nothing
Cartoon Network is doing better right now than it's ever done I don't know what the hell you're talking about.......
Ikr?
When your getting ass handed by the Disney channel and Disney jr, something’s wrong
Just watch ,🤣 Warner Bros Discovery - Paramount Global Skydance merger - 2026😂
