True, I stopped using Cable since either 2017 or 2018.
Why pay more for less content?
@@maverickhuntermeta4954 I wish I knew
Live stream cable is the new version of cable like Hulu+ live and fubo and philo and sling and other similar services
GREAT D.C.NETWORK STREAMING IS DYING COMPANIES 🗑🗑🗑📦🗑🗑🗑
Naturally, it will collapse because it is a failed idea, and I do not see any significant benefit. Rather, it has harmed the industry more than it has benefited it, and most of the programs shown here are often forgotten after they end, unlike programs on cable channels. It's the truth unfortunately
A lot of the shows have been rushed in order to keep subscriber numbers up which in turn has led to some pretty low quality shows.
@@DCNetwork correct. This led to me refraining from following it and not remembering it
its not a failed idea. streaming got popular because it's just an objectively way better alternative to cable as not everybody has the time to catch their shows, and even if they do, you're bound to miss something, so it's super convenient to just pop them in whenever you want, like let's say after work or school. where it does fail is that the services in question have gone money hungry and began alienating their viewers for profit. hulu netflix and max seem to be the only ones that might survive this
It's why i am practicing animation and putting some details and fine perfection.@@DCNetwork
The TV adapts to the changed weather my friend
Why not have Cable, Streaming, and DVD all at once? You get the best of three warms.
Preferable more DVDs in bags
Too pricey.
Another main problem is that certain streaming services keeps canceling shows that the audience wants to see more of like Netflix and Disney plus. Plus I know that corporations like discovery are using this just to do make excuses when it comes to so cup budget cuts and healthcare taxes.
example like HILDA ending on season 3
Let's not forget that physical media is also on the verge of discontinuation. Best Buy is the first to de-list all their home video releases of DVD'S and Blu-ray discs (possibly have already emptied out those shelves) along with other retail locations that are doing the same, including places that sell pre-owned home video releases.
hey whats up X!
Yep, it's definitely sad to see.
We are seeing a resurgence in physical media as the companies are doing more tax write offs for content as a form of media preservation cause if we have it physically then it’s a copy of the content they can’t take away from us
DISASTER. EVERY COMPANIES
Sad because we truly need physical media more than ever.
Streaming has harmed the entertainment industry as a whole. Yeah you can see your favorite shows and movies but what if they all of a sudden remove them from your streaming service? Then you can’t see them ever again. And what really irks me is when companies cancel shows. Looking at you HBO MAX and WB Discovery. The drama there is crazy.
That is why I still champion Physical Media
@@bradleyrenfroe2776 Agreed. I prefer physical media over everything else.
@@SuperNASCARrocksyesss
This is why physical media is making a comeback
The Rise and Fall of Streaming Serves. But this is not my problem because I don't do streaming because I only get movies on Blu-Ray+DVD and getting TV shows on DVD.
@usanatv2007sentertainmentinc. Dear people still buy Blue Ray DVDs
😂😂😂😂😂 Brother, there are a lot of us who buy DVDs and blue rays
@@Trooper-k2f That's right. I mean who wants to spend money on streaming serves. I only get movies on Blu-Ray+DVD and TV shows on DVD so I can watch them over and over again instead of waiting for them to stream for days, weeks, months and years.
The downfall of streaming is caused by companies removing stuff they own on their own streaming services:
-Dexter’s Laboratory
-The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat
-T.U.F.F. Puppy
-Robot and Monster
-OK K.O.! Let’s Be Heroes
-Uncle Grandpa
-Tak and the Power of Juju
-Mighty Magiswords
Sometimes Life isn't fair to some of us, even if there might be a reason why this is happening
Including Ben 10 Alien Force, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, and Ben 10 Omniverse
@@nicktheben10guy Yeah
And Fresh Beat Band of Spies.
@@darrellyoder6455 Never heard of it
Another issue is affordibility. Not everyone can afford it.
Blu Ray needs to make a comeback.
Blu-ray has never been discontinued, unless you're mentioning HD-DVD, that needs a comeback without having a company's permission to release a format in the market (I'm looking at you Sony Pictures).
@@maverickhuntermeta4954 What I am talking about is it being more mainstream again, kinda like Vinyl or CD for example, those formats were never discontinued but made a "comeback" in recent years.
What do you mean it’s still a thing
@@watchforever1724 It's not mainstream anymore, the mainstream has moved on to streaming, I would like to see a comeback in the way vinyl made a comeback.
@@ParanoidThalyyMVS fair enough
i don't think streaming will die 100% however most platforms will go out, disney+ and peacock are probably the first to crash down. netflix and max i can see continuing on as normal. the convenience of streaming will always be in demand and there will be other services to take the place of the ones that will shut down
Well max is linked with CN that
If streaming might be ending, then I have no idea what could be its replacement.
I don't think streaming will completely end. I think that some will survive but most won't.
@@DCNetwork You’re right, not all of streaming will be taken to their graves. Though, there might be new streaming services in the future.
@@cnnickanddisneyfanboy9523I'd say Netflix and Hulu surviving are a safe bet, and maybe Disney+ and Max. Every other service will just die in a couple years or so.
@@DCNetwork yeah
We shall rebuild this society, with DVDs and Blu-ray!
I don't mind streaming movies and shows, though I'm happy with my dvd's and blu ray's of my favorite media.
LONG LIFE HOMEMADE FORMAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
One thing I really don't like about streaming is that it seems to hate cartoons. They make almost none, and when they do, they aren't very good (cough cough Transformers Earthspark). Cable used to make so many good ones, and now they just don't. While I do like having entire shows on a service, but yeah, cable should provide entire shows On Demand.
Yeah I know
Some people say that cable is dying but it’s not just cable, streamings are also dying due to the loss of subscribers and money, purging and cancelling all of the good or favorite shows and movies (like Max and Netflix) and the never ending hike prices (like Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu) because of the CEOs had made their own worst decisions to get more money even though they’re making it even worse especially Netflix and Disney+ and that’s the main reason why everyone are switching to DVDs to watch TV shows and movies.
And who the hell says that TV is dead when we all know that television and especially cinema will continue to be the main means of entertainment
@@black66260 I know some people who don't watch TV. They watch CZcams or Amazon prime etc. For now base CZcams is free with an internet connection
@@tylerensmingerMy friend, TV will simply not die that easily. TV is too profitable for both companies and brands.
@black66260 it will have a customer base but not everyone will buy a TV if they're not interested in streaming or cable.
Cable is the one that is dying more streaming services will survive this.
No more streaming and save DVDs!
Long live the home format
These companies need to focus on cable more
HBO MAX can’t die, if it does then there’s no chance for a 6th season of OG Teen Titans, on the other hand; maybe there is if Netflix buys the series from HBO Max.
You forgot that HBO Max is now Max
If MAX merges with Netflix, will there be a chance for OG Teen Titans finally having a 6th season? Also HBO Max sounds more accurate.
@@lottiewarner-allen7654 Well, in my opinion, Max sounds way more accurate
The problem with streaming it was always a unsustainable model when Netflix first came out with their streaming model, it was just always recycled content then started to produce their own content which became very expensive to produce what everyone truly loves about streaming is the low price to subscribe no commercial interruptions but unfortunately, that’s a necessity to supplement the cost of production
I'm glad these streaming they got focus on cable some can't afford these apps
Not all of them are dying.
And last I checked, we are all complaining while we should be fighting against the corruption. In other words. We are just hiding in the shadows like cowards. What happened to the fans who used to do better?
I’m not insulting you, I’m questioning their resolve
I've been trying to find ways to fight back against Discovery myself.
For one, I've been studying David's bastardy ways.
Did you mean cable tv? Because it cost more to sign up for cable to receive less compared to streaming where you get more for less.
Actually it’s about the same for both cause u have add up all the services u subscribe to and the cost of the internet they it’s not much cheaper
@@kevin10001 who pays for multiple streaming services? I only pay for one.
0:03, I think Late 2022 and throughout 2023 were pretty rough and crazy when you think about it.
The SAG Strike, most WB Projects getting scrapped or cancelled for no reason by David Zaslav, most Disney Films (not all) just kept flopping (despite some of them getting a Cult-Following like Elemental for example), everyone is concern about A.I replacing some Voice-Over Actors (not all of them), most CZcamsrs are somewhat quitting, you name it.
At least the indie animation scene is prospering
@@numbuh1507 True
It's even worse when you realize David won't move his supervillain ass until 2027.
Who knows how badly damaged Warner will be by then? In fact, it might not exist!
@@ZeepAtomic Yikes
Well, NBC/Universal has the rights to the Kissyfur cartoon, yet Peacock still hasn’t released it on their streaming.
I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing because Disney+ is the only way to watch certain Toon Disney shows like Gargoyles and Disney's Doug. So if Disney+ or other streaming services are dying then that is a bad sign.
It’s also the only way I can watch doctor who since I’m in America and Disney+ became the exclusive place to watch it which makes no sense because max already has the distribution rights for the first 13 seasons of the revival
@@kevin10001I mean I have Gargoyles on DVD so I'm good there.
Same goes for the Lilo and Stitch cartoon. Plus they never had Brandy and Mr. Whiskers to begin with.
Yesss TV 📺 will always be the best! I love cable screw Streaming
You’re not alone
Why not both? 🤷🏾♂️
@startrakambassador3632 my thoughts exactly.
I do both cause I have to watch some shows that were taken from cable like doctor who that has now become a Disney+ exclusive
Tv has nothing to watch right now it’s the same s*** over and over.
Netflix isn't part of it, is it? I still want the last season of Beastars
Netflix has its own issues to deal with. I predicted back in 2018/19 that they would go bankrupt within the next decade. We'll see though.
Well with Cable and Streaming already digging their graves I guess we will have no other choice but to switch to *DVD’S AND PIRATING AGAIN WOOOOOO!!!!!*
Streaming is cable 2.0 except you only get one channel to watch essentially unless you pay for more.
I don't think returning to cable is a thing it's like going from PS5 to PS2, now streaming was great you never ever ever ever see animes in toonmai. If not then let's go back to the dark ages when we only watch a very small group of shows
It's all about money. Whoever offers the production companies the most will get the airing rights to the show. Whether it be streaming or cable.
@DCNetwork yea
But don't think cable is the future , sure I loved it but it's dated for others, the idea of watching something whenever you like then watching something at 2am on adult swim
@@unisangalaxystudio Oh yeah absolutely. There are some positives coming out of streaming which I may discuss in a future video.
Also not a lot of people talk about this and this might be more of a nitpick but I think with these streaming services having shows that are only 10 or less episodes tends to do more harm than good.
I can understand that some people don’t like filler episodes or depending on the story they don’t need a lot of episodes because they don’t want to drag the story, but most of the shows that are exclusive to streaming shows especially the ones that have a overarching storyline are often having this feeling of being rushed and messy because most these streaming services don’t give these shows enough episodes for people to keep being interested in. Disney Plus is a good example of this because how people complain about how rushed and messy their Marvel and Star Wars shows are and one of those reasons is because they are only giving most them about 5-6 episodes which is honestly way too short for a show to have, regardless if a show is 11 minutes long or 22 minutes long.
I’m not saying that a show shouldn’t have 10 episodes or less, or that shows needs 25-30 episodes to be interesting, but I think they should have some type of middle ground like 15-20. Having less isn’t always a good when you are trying to tell a story because like I said, the story can sometimes end up being rushed or messy, and then not only that, sometimes you’re not getting too in depth with the characters and their dynamics, developments, lore, and just world building around them, and also hard for the writers to structure their story and characters properly because of the short amount of episodes they are given.
I wouldn’t say that this is a recent issue that is only exclusive to streaming shows, because cable shows have this problem as well, but I do lean towards streaming more because of how common these shows that are exclusively for streaming services tend to have 5-10 episodes.
I always figured cable would just go digital as the times change but this is ridiculous now with streaming services everywhere
This isn't good. Max shouldn't have removed Ben 10 Alien Force, Ben 10 Ultimate Alien, and Ben 10 Omniverse. They should've removed the Ben 10 reboot series instead. Why? Because I don't care about the Ben 10 reboot series. Also, Paramount + shouldn't have removed Tuff Puppy.
Not to mention Paramount+ removed Fresh Beat Band of Spies.
I didn't even know that they removed those series... good thing I have Ultimate Alien and Alien Force on DVD. Unfortunately, they never released all of Omniverse on home media :/
@@DCNetwork same!
I'm very upset about Max pulling KND without warning. I have the whole show on Prime, but that's it.
The only physical releases of the show are basically just Season 1 broke into two DVDs, along with mixed episodes scattered across Game Boy Advance cartridges and VideoNow. And let's not forget about the CN holiday compilation DVDs, where some have KND episodes.
Shame it never got a boxset.. worse because the show being pulled from Warner's main service definitely throws a rock in the way for G:KND happening.
It's also a shame that Cartoon Network didn't bother to release the whole series of Ben 10 Omniverse. I think that's due to the low ratings.
I haven't had cable since 2018 and I was literally crying when I could not watch Cartoon Network nor Nickelodeon live anymore. Luckily at my other house I still had cable and I still have it to this day. However, at my main house I was stuck with Netflix and Hulu for about two years. Then I got FireTV, which gave me access to Hulu live which gave me the ability to watch all the cable channels there and I still have it to this day. But yeah, streaming is dying. There have been a lot of shows that just have not been good and people are even unsubscribing from the streaming services those shows are on. What really frustrates me is when they remove shows, Dexter's Laboratory, The Three Ben 10 spinoff shows, Flapjack, Over the Garden Wall, Victor and Valentino (Please bring a Season 4 for this show), Eliott From Earth. All I can say is just, I hope cable doesn't die.
R.I.P Streaming Service
Good for the most part. At least Netflix at the moment is Something of a fight
Will you please talk about Boomerang Network's updated 2024 schedule?
We need the streaming serves to keep on a stand up, if not, then we will have to watch it in another streaming serve, but what it could it be?
I can see eye to eye with you about how much of a waste of money streaming has become.
I never understood the hype around Netflix when it was the only service around and I still don’t get it they rarely have a hit series there binge model is outdated and most of there movies are of the quality of the straight to dvd movies from the 2000’s and I don’t mind advertisement when streaming a show if it was made for cable cause normally they know where to place the ads but not always and I feel like streaming has become the new form of cable except every service is the equivalent to the premium channels on cable that are an additional cost and it adds up quickly when every channel is a premium channel and devices like Apple TV are the new cable boxes
That's sad, i'm sad.
Thank god I have, dish I don’t stream tv. Because
1. You,spend more money for streaming services.
2. You, need a fast reliable internet connection with an unlimited data plan.”
3. your, internet speeds w ill be throttled during peak times/ gone over your data limit.”
4. If you live in a rural area. You will not be able to get reliable high speed internet.”
5. You’ll spend more time watching the buffering wheel spin, more often than watching your show or movie.”
Thank god , I have dish!!
I have the Hopper 3 whole home DVR!
Do you think that if streaming did not exist, then Warner Bros. Discovery would have made shows and movies for cable and then stopped them for tax write-off?
No, because I don't think they would've been in this issue financially to begin with.
I was not aware that the streaming industry is dying. In fact Disney Plus is killing Disney movies in theaters.
this is why i just pirate everything. everything in one place and it can't be taken away.
I hope it's the end of streaming
i don't cause i haven't had cable since 2021 so if all streaming sevices shut down completly than i will have absloute no fucking way of watching any shows nor movies since streaming is the only way i can watch the shows and movies i like
This all comes down to regulation. If the US government regulated cable like they do in other nations then there wouldn't be a big push for streaming services. When you look at other countries even though streaming has been growing most people still have cable or satellite TV subscriptions. I can see the streaming industry blowing up by end of the 2020s or early 2030s.
If cable is ever to return being popular you have to find ways to make it affordable. I know in Canada the government passed a law to let people have the chance to pick whatever channels they want. If something like that comes to the United States then you could see Cable gain some momentum again.
Another thing I would like to mention is that there's a possibility there could be a data breach involved with these services. So many people have their personal banking information saved will all these platforms. If someone could maneuver their way into Netflix's, Disney Plus, Max's accounts, servers, and etc. It would legit be game over as people's financial information would be stolen. Not saying it could happen but it's a possibility.
Disney buying Fox is the reason they launched Disney Plus, but streaming keeps getting worse every day and night. Physical media is dying, the legacy of Hollywood is getting ruined and people are forced to cut cords from Cable TV.
Yeah I agree that streaming isn’t doing well at the moment
Streaming may be doing badly...but it's not like cable is doing any better
Nope
@@Trooper-k2f Yet my parents think cable is the "cheapest" form of TV media to watch
Streaming is way better then cable lmao. Cause at least you choose what you watching.
Hope they make few show in steaming
They can't do that, streaming services needs to last forever, we all use Streaming Services more than cable you know!!!😊
what if max Hulu Paramount* and Disney* are not going to shut down?
No if anything cable is dying.
I watch tubi free movie classic movie and throwback/forgotten gem 2000s and even including pirate like Kim cartoon. I still enjoy watching Tubi. Lot people sleep on Tubi free streaming service and no one talks too much. We already know about it money money. End of day animation is very expensive due even not get too much view audience or they're don't own fit brand to original IP. If owl house original studio by Dana terrace herself to own thing without dealing Netflix, Disney and all big company in LA California big budget. Would been alright and cheap. That's why Squid game do well by own Korean studio live action and anime below up
When you see Max's current state now, and then see how it was doing back when HBO was in the name, you can't help but feel some form of sadness about it.
I remember back in the summer of 2021, HBO Max was declared the best streaming service, especially animation-wise. Come for the HBO, stay for Warner's beautiful catalogs. It indeed had something for everyone.
Then the inevitable you-know-what happened, and now Max is turning into the reality TV cesspool David always wanted it to be.
Every month or so you'll see shows from CN and AS get dumped off the service one by one. In place goes another season of a generic TLC fatass show.
It's no secret that David really seems to hate animation. Hell, I bet he doesn't even want stuff like Adventure Time, Ghibli films or Rick and Morty on the platform, but he keeps them on anyway considering they're the company's moneymakers, and taking them off would cause a global outrage.
Just how many times do we have to teach this man before Max flushes their entire animation catalog?
Keep telling people for more then a year that streaming isn't the future, physical media is
Yay!!!!!
no it’s not your complaining is dead here, boom drops the mic.
Despite the claims Disney/Fox/WBD announced a new streaming service particularly for Sports fans. So, companies are still bent on making streaming work
Dude #ONDEMAND & #STREAMIN aren't da same streaming u can watch every single season &on demand u can only watch what they have
True but streaming is the same way with some shows especially older shows not every season is released to streaming all at once with some shows
@@kevin10001yeah I know
they cancelled final space so they can rot for all i care
If they wish for, at least, a minimal chance to stay afloat, they'd better go back to making good wholesome entertaining shows, instead of monetizing on the psychological and social issues of a minority of misfits without depth nor personality, and most importantly, without shaming or alienating whoever points this out, period.
