A pilot took off from Calais on Saturday morning in an ancient monoplane to cross the English Channel and so commemorate the first such crossing one century ago.
Epic. Became interested becasue I got chatting to Neil Turnbull, who had just completed his Model of this aircraft actually in 2009 and was part of this centenary, with his model on show in Dover. HE was at the Blackpool Model Show Oct. 2023. I actually have his story which will be upoladed for December 2023.
