But the side ones never really made sense since shockwave only has one gun and one barrel so it cannot be 2 shots apart. Primes wing suit a mine? Is this on the movie or just a stretch? Most of these unnecessary explosions can be seen on optimus prime vs grimlock too. All melee yet theres explosions
And, in the FNITAF (five nights in the auto-con factory) world, the Mane 7 (Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fizzlepop Berrytwist) had fought and weakened 20 Failures, then Rainbow CelestialFire killed those 20 failures in 1 second.

To all those people saying “THIS ISNT OPTIMUS” or “WHYD THEY MAKE HIM A PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER”, just take a moment to think. Optimus has been fighting for him, the Autobots, and Cybertron and anything necessary to keep it alive. He’s lost allies, been betrayed, failed large missions, and he’s even been killed by Megatron himself. Who else wouldn’t be at the brink of just ending it all and just destroying the enemy. Literally, in the first movie he was typical noble not Pyscho Optimus, because he had just landed on Earth a few weeks prior to Mission City, and he had made quite the alliance after. In Revenge of the Fallen, Optimus was of course typical and noble, but you could tell he was starting to lose patience after Shanghai, once the government guy started pressuring him about leaving Earth even though the Decepticons arent truly after the Autobots. Of course, once Optimus finds out Megatron has been revived and has captured Sam, he’s lost a bit more patience, and chases him down to the Forest Battle Scene, where he of course takes a major beating. After that Major Beating, he had simply had enough of the 3 tormenting him and decided to start getting serious about protecting Sam do that he could escape with the Matrix’s location logged in his brain. Once Optimus was killed, he was of course brought to NEST, and the Autobots were pissed off for letting this happen to their leader. In Operation Firestorm, once Sam revived Prime, Optimus already knew he would have to take a large act in killing decepticons, even knowing that sure it wasn’t who he was but he knew it was necessary or Earth would be destroyed with them included. After killing the Fallen and nearly murdering Megatron, Optimus was of course getting tired of this. In Dark of the Moon, Optimus had started to lose more patience after Shockwaves appearance in Chernobyl including the discovery of that ancient Cybertronian artifact. Once he revived Sentinel later in the movie, he was at least to relieved to have another ally, only to find out he’s been betrayed after a mild chase on the Highway from Crowbar, Crankcase, and Hatchet, who were trying to take Sentinel away. Optimus tried to convince Sentinel to stop after confronting him in DC, but failed and had nearly died. This had made Optimus even more mad, now that he had been betrayed, but also lost an old friend in the process. When the humans thought that having the Autobots on Earth was too dangerous and that they could take care of the decepticons themselves, unaware, Optimus, now obviously pissed off and has lost patience with most of the US government, he had tactically forced him and the Autobots to hide in the lower detachable compartment of the Xanthium, therefore Starscream didnt officially kill them. Optimus, enraged at what had happened, came back to Sam with the Autobots, stated he would Kill them all. Tired of this war, he killed Driller, only to get tangled up after being misguided by Shockwave. There, Optimus just got completely pissed off. He had had enough. He didn’t want anymore. Explaining his rage here, and his brutal killing of Megatron to prevent anything further. In AOE (which isnt canon imo), Optimus had most certainly been unexpectedly been targeted by the TRf because their leader was pissy over their sisters death in Chicago when hundreds of other people died (what a selfish bitch thag mf is), Optimus had just lost it. Everytime he saw a human trying to assault him, there was a high probability he blasted them to bits. He had been tired of this, and now the humans killing his own friends for no reason what so ever? Who wouldn’t be fucking pissed off about this???

This is an extremely late response but I think nobody wanted to risk friendly fire from optimus since he seemed to be killing everyone in sight just fine.
The other Autobots knew that Prime could handle the entire fight on his own. I mean, when your leader swoops down with enough weapons to arm an entire squad with zero regard for his own safety...you know shit's about to go down.

What I love about this scene is just the utter chaos that’s going on. It’s a full on war, giant robots shooting each other as one comes in with a Jetpack engaging in melee combat single handedly breaking the decepticon lines. It’s just amazing to watch
That's what makes these final battles so entertaining There is no human drama, only what most people came for: Autobots and Decepticons ducking it out in the most chaotic way possible
Say what you want about the Bayformer movies, but you can't deny they were entertaining as hell. I'm a hardcore Transformers lore nerd, and even I enjoyed these movies just because they were always fun to watch. ESPECIALLY Dark of the Moon.
Over the years, Optimus Prime has proved himself to be not only a great leader, but also one of the most powerful warriors in the universe. He is trained in the use of almost any weapon, incorporating them into his combat tactics without effort. He is a walking arsenal with unstoppable combat capabilities.
I got so excited in the theater that I had to fight back tears. When they killed Prime in part 2, I yelled "NOOO!!!" in the theater. I was beyond furious. Had they left him dead, I would have had a mental breakdown.

Like, there's still plot holes, inconsistencies, contrivances, forgettable characters, etc. They're not better written by any significant margin, and I'd argue Dark of the Moon had better writing than both Bee and RotB. Even if writing was never a strong point for the Bayformers films, Bay's eye for action and spectacle was unmatched. I can't remember a single action sequence from Bee, and RotB had maybe 1 or 2 shots I found sort of cool. If they're not going to provide me with a good story, at least give me better action.

Even if you take this scene out of context, forget optimus, alien robots and invasion of earth and what not. This action is extremely well thought out, it's beautifully "choreographed" and animated, I rewatch it everyday at the gym it's just so awesome !

@blue optimus still had good reason, even with his normal moral code: the fallen betrayed the primes, and besides that: he has watched his family die, get ripped apart, die, etc. How would you react if you witnessed that happening to your family, close friends, or anything in between that was good to you? U understand that optimus shouldn't act like that, and that it is difficult to understand bay logic. Because he's Michael Bay. But I can understand why optimus acts like that. But ultimately he is no where near my favorite optimus despite being the version I have most figures of. My favorite is Transformers Prime, followed by G1. Really the thing I'm trying to say is: Bay Logic.
The first 3 live action films will NEVER be topped. It was the Bay films that introduced me to Transformers in the first place. And I still even remember my first transformer toy. A 2008 Delux Class Acid Storm.

@@MechaKnuckles megatron was optimus equal, maybe even stronger. In each following movie he was a shadow of a former self, just a dummy for optimus. Shame that he was able to fight Sentinel but lost to Prime with one hand that’s just silly. He got a little bit of time to shine in last movie where he fought Optimus and Bumblebee with one hand and gained advantage in fight but yet again Bay threw him under the bus in moments after that promising fight.
@@nikohuncho Oh, I understand now. I think Megatron was weak in RoTF because he switched to a different body from the one he had fought in for years and years. There are also moments where you can tell his balance is really bad due to the huge arm. As for DoTM, I have to agree that his death is stupid and surprisingly brutal. Same goes for Sentinel being executed by Prime. But at least Megatron had a really good character in DoTM.
Megatron needs his Fall of Cybertron representation in these movies - basically, a ferocious and merciless gladiator that will stop at absolutely nothing to ensure Optimus dies at his own two hands. And damn did it show in that game, especially in the final battle. Both of them are equally matched despite the fact Megatron is born a soldier while Optimus was only a librarian until he was forced to stand against the Decepticons.

Optimus Prime is the epitome of what a General or King used to be. They got to be the top guy by being the greatest warrior of them all. If you watched the old cartoons are read the old comic books, you would believe that Optimus was just marginally more effective in combat than the other Autobots (not counting his final fight in the original Transformers The Movie). This scene puts any doubt to rest- Optimus is a true warrior through and through. That is how he inspires the Autobots. That is why they would die for him. At the risk of triggering some people, Optimus is a great example of masculinity.
I’ve always loved this scene. It shows so much. I’ve always seen it titled “primes rage,” but I never understood why. Sure, a lot has happened and he’s pissed off. I also can tell he’s pissed because when he says “you die,” there’s anger in his voice. But the part that tells me how much “rage” he has and that he’s had enough, was something I didn’t notice before. When he flies in before Sam yells his name, you can hear this kind of grow or groan from optimus. You can hear the anger in that tone. That’s how you know shits going to go down. Beautiful scene holy shit. I know he’s prime and all but he lost it here. This makes it look like he’s been going easy mode on them for a while. Or he’s held back and finally had enough. Either way, it’s brilliant.

To all those people saying “THIS ISNT OPTIMUS” or “WHYD THEY MAKE HIM A PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER”, just take a moment to think. Optimus has been fighting for him, the Autobots, and Cybertron and anything necessary to keep it alive. He’s lost allies, been betrayed, failed large missions, and he’s even been killed by Megatron himself. Who else wouldn’t be at the brink of just ending it all and just destroying the enemy. Literally, in the first movie he was typical noble not Pyscho Optimus, because he had just landed on Earth a few weeks prior to Mission City, and he had made quite the alliance after. In Revenge of the Fallen, Optimus was of course typical and noble, but you could tell he was starting to lose patience after Shanghai, once the government guy started pressuring him about leaving Earth even though the Decepticons arent truly after the Autobots. Of course, once Optimus finds out Megatron has been revived and has captured Sam, he’s lost a bit more patience, and chases him down to the Forest Battle Scene, where he of course takes a major beating. After that Major Beating, he had simply had enough of the 3 tormenting him and decided to start getting serious about protecting Sam do that he could escape with the Matrix’s location logged in his brain. Once Optimus was killed, he was of course brought to NEST, and the Autobots were pissed off for letting this happen to their leader. In Operation Firestorm, once Sam revived Prime, Optimus already knew he would have to take a large act in killing decepticons, even knowing that sure it wasn’t who he was but he knew it was necessary or Earth would be destroyed with them included. After killing the Fallen and nearly murdering Megatron, Optimus was of course getting tired of this. In Dark of the Moon, Optimus had started to lose more patience after Shockwaves appearance in Chernobyl including the discovery of that ancient Cybertronian artifact. Once he revived Sentinel later in the movie, he was at least to relieved to have another ally, only to find out he’s been betrayed after a mild chase on the Highway from Crowbar, Crankcase, and Hatchet, who were trying to take Sentinel away. Optimus tried to convince Sentinel to stop after confronting him in DC, but failed and had nearly died. This had made Optimus even more mad, now that he had been betrayed, but also lost an old friend in the process. When the humans thought that having the Autobots on Earth was too dangerous and that they could take care of the decepticons themselves, unaware, Optimus, now obviously pissed off and has lost patience with most of the US government, he had tactically forced him and the Autobots to hide in the lower detachable compartment of the Xanthium, therefore Starscream didnt officially kill them. Optimus, enraged at what had happened, came back to Sam with the Autobots, stated he would Kill them all. Tired of this war, he killed Driller, only to get tangled up after being misguided by Shockwave. There, Optimus just got completely pissed off. He had had enough. He didn’t want anymore. Explaining his rage here, and his brutal killing of Megatron to prevent anything further. In AOE (which isnt canon imo), Optimus had most certainly been unexpectedly been targeted by the TRf because their leader was pissy over their sisters death in Chicago when hundreds of other people died (what a selfish bitch thag mf is), Optimus had just lost it. Everytime he saw a human trying to assault him, there was a high probability he blasted them to bits. He had been tired of this, and now the humans killing his own friends for no reason what so ever? Who wouldn’t be fucking pissed off about this???

What I love about this scene is just the utter chaos that’s going on. It’s a full on war, giant robots shooting each other as one comes in with a Jetpack engaging in melee combat single handedly breaking the decepticon lines. It’s just amazing to watch

When I was 19, I literally paid to see this in theaters 5 times just for this scene. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen.

Like, there's still plot holes, inconsistencies, contrivances, forgettable characters, etc. They're not better written by any significant margin, and I'd argue Dark of the Moon had better writing than both Bee and RotB.
Even if writing was never a strong point for the Bayformers films, Bay's eye for action and spectacle was unmatched. I can't remember a single action sequence from Bee, and RotB had maybe 1 or 2 shots I found sort of cool. If they're not going to provide me with a good story, at least give me better action.

Even if you take this scene out of context, forget optimus, alien robots and invasion of earth and what not. This action is extremely well thought out, it's beautifully "choreographed" and animated, I rewatch it everyday at the gym it's just so awesome !

@blue optimus still had good reason, even with his normal moral code: the fallen betrayed the primes, and besides that: he has watched his family die, get ripped apart, die, etc. How would you react if you witnessed that happening to your family, close friends, or anything in between that was good to you? U understand that optimus shouldn't act like that, and that it is difficult to understand bay logic. Because he's Michael Bay. But I can understand why optimus acts like that. But ultimately he is no where near my favorite optimus despite being the version I have most figures of. My favorite is Transformers Prime, followed by G1. Really the thing I'm trying to say is: Bay Logic.

Shame that he was able to fight Sentinel but lost to Prime with one hand that’s just silly. He got a little bit of time to shine in last movie where he fought Optimus and Bumblebee with one hand and gained advantage in fight but yet again Bay threw him under the bus in moments after that promising fight.
@@nikohuncho Oh, I understand now. I think Megatron was weak in RoTF because he switched to a different body from the one he had fought in for years and years. There are also moments where you can tell his balance is really bad due to the huge arm.
As for DoTM, I have to agree that his death is stupid and surprisingly brutal. Same goes for Sentinel being executed by Prime. But at least Megatron had a really good character in DoTM.
Megatron needs his Fall of Cybertron representation in these movies - basically, a ferocious and merciless gladiator that will stop at absolutely nothing to ensure Optimus dies at his own two hands.
And damn did it show in that game, especially in the final battle. Both of them are equally matched despite the fact Megatron is born a soldier while Optimus was only a librarian until he was forced to stand against the Decepticons.

Optimus Prime is the epitome of what a General or King used to be. They got to be the top guy by being the greatest warrior of them all. If you watched the old cartoons are read the old comic books, you would believe that Optimus was just marginally more effective in combat than the other Autobots (not counting his final fight in the original Transformers The Movie). This scene puts any doubt to rest- Optimus is a true warrior through and through. That is how he inspires the Autobots. That is why they would die for him.
At the risk of triggering some people, Optimus is a great example of masculinity.

I’ve always loved this scene. It shows so much. I’ve always seen it titled “primes rage,” but I never understood why. Sure, a lot has happened and he’s pissed off. I also can tell he’s pissed because when he says “you die,” there’s anger in his voice. But the part that tells me how much “rage” he has and that he’s had enough, was something I didn’t notice before. When he flies in before Sam yells his name, you can hear this kind of grow or groan from optimus. You can hear the anger in that tone. That’s how you know shits going to go down. Beautiful scene holy shit. I know he’s prime and all but he lost it here. This makes it look like he’s been going easy mode on them for a while. Or he’s held back and finally had enough. Either way, it’s brilliant.
