The first couple races every week Mandarin scouts the entire track, hit every obstacle and by race 4 or 5 will find the best line and squeeze out a top 3 for the week to stay safe. I trust the process.

My life flashed before my eyes when I though Snowdrift, Rezzy, and Bonbon got stuck on one of the spinners.

Alright, could've been worse but Mandy didn't do bad considering how much he bounced around today. I swear, he's made of rubber.
A combination of being one of the lightest and most polite marbles in the field certainly has made it hard to watch some weeks.
It's a smaller field now, so every position is more important. The goal is to outlast not be out front, we got this🍊

@@donleaman2018 My wife is a RaspberryRacers fan and before the race started she said she has a bad feeling about this week. Talk about her devastation when she saw Rezzy with such a slow start and getting stuck.
He's just figuring out the course, some of those upper sections are deadly. We just don't want any unnecessary injuries.
This is definitely not a good course for Rezzy who seems to get pushed around more than some others.
Mandarin, buddy, you're killing me with these starts! We know you're fast! If you keep letting everyone go through the first obstacle ahead of you, it's not going to make a difference!

Interesting to see all of the bottom three get stuck at the same place at around 1:46 I guess the ghost marble must have freed them so we did not get 3 DNFs.
Actually, that was Sea giving them a little nudge on their cruise through.
This is a bit more what I'm used to seeing from the Oceanics.
That closing point gap is really interesting. Before you had 20+ differentials making it real swingy sometime, but now it seems a lot more packed of a distribution. Less chances to get those high numbers and jump up and down.

Now that the Speeders are out, I'll be rooting for the Purple Rockets! They've really grown on me through this event.

All of my teams are out but one: Mellow Yellow really turned out to show a decent understanding of the new discipline. Their consistancy really makes them seem like viable finalists! Lets see how it goes

Mandarin needs to get out of his habit of needing to see all of the course.
Why does Manderin always feel the need to give everyone else a head start?
He's spec'd into speed but not durability so is always going to be bullied and knocked back when he gets caught up with other marbles.

Remember, sea came in last place two weeks ago and then just kept in the middle of the pack for the rest of the week. I think they're doing the same again this week, taking it easy race one, learning the lines and figuring out where the best places to make their moves.

Maybe they were just taking it easy for this first race before letting it all out later.
But as the weeks go on, getting those top 3 points becomes important, if only to give yourself a cushion for later in the week.
He usually starts badly, last week was a very pleasant surprise. I believe he uses the first run for scouting and will improve in the next day's.

I’m glad the race organizers incorporated more straightaways into this course. The teams who specialize in top speeds rather than cornering seemed to be unfairly discriminated against in the past 14 races, glad to see a more balanced course.

Snowdrift and Bonbon had ideal starting positions today, but I think the unfamiliarity of this layout tripped them up. They'll get it tomorrow.
At 1:45 you can see that 3 marbles were temporarily stuck. That destroyed the race for Snowballs unfortunately

With my two teams, Savage Speeders and Team Momo, out I've got 4 teams in my mind that I'm pulling for, Purple Rockets, Indigo Stars, Mellow Yellow, and Thunderbolts

I tried watching this all the way through but without my Speeders to watch I couldn't do it... Its crazy how invested I am emotionally to an inanimate object. I will say that the latter courses are what did it for my Speeders. track had too many tight spaces and Speeders need open circuits. The have insane Top Speed but horrible Acceleration and not even sure of the "Savage" part of their name cause they get bumped and banged all the time and never throw an elbow out. Unless we start in good track position and have long straight shots, we're destined for elimination. RIP Savage Speeders and I'll see you in M1S5!

Yes, Yellah! Finally, a good finish, after scraping by with a bunch of below-average results from last race. It feels absolutely surreal to see Mellow Yellow in the top half of the standings, and it feels even better to not see the Speeders there. I don't recall this happening since the #Escape2021 race. Anyway, amazing start, Yellah! #KeepItMellow
On the one hand I am happy with the result! On the other hand I am pretty sure, Yellah crossed the line just a little moment before Swax and thus was unjustly deprived of two points.
